Dans le même temps, Assur se convertira également à l'Eternel, et la paix régnera entre les deux grandes puissances, toujours hostiles au temps d'Esaïe.

La route d'Egypte en Assyrie est l'emblème des relations pacifiques qui s'établiront entre elles sous le sceptre du Messie (2.2-4).
