      1 Ce sont ici les enfants d'Israël, Ruben, Siméon, Lévi, Juda, Issacar, Zabulon,
      2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad, et Aser.
      3 Les enfants de Juda furent, Her, Onan, et Séla. Ces trois lui naquirent de la fille de Suah, Cananéenne ; mais Her premier-né de Juda fut méchant devant l'Eternel, et il le fit mourir.
      4 Et Tamar, sa belle-fille, lui enfanta Pharez et Zara. Tous les enfants de Juda furent cinq.
      5 Les enfants de Pharez, Hetsron, et Hamul.
      6 Et les enfants de Zara furent, Zimri, Ethan, Héman, Calcol et Darah, cinq en tout.
      7 Carmi [n'eut point de fils qu']Hachar qui troubla Israël, et qui pécha en prenant de l'interdit.
      8 Et Ethan [n'eut point de] fils qu'Hazaria.
      9 Et les enfants qui naquirent à Hetsron furent Jérahméël, Ram, et Célubaï.
      10 Et Ram engendra Hamminadab, et Hamminadab engendra Nahasson, chef des enfants de Juda.
      11 Et Nahasson engendra Salma, et Salma engendra Booz.
      12 Et Booz engendra Obed, et Obed engendra Isaï.
      13 Et Isaï engendra son premier-né Eliab, le second Abinadab, le troisième Simha.
      14 Le quatrième Nathanaël, le cinquième Raddaï,
      15 Le sixième Otsen, et le septième, David.
      16 Et Tséruïa et Abigaïl furent leurs soeurs. Tséruïa eut trois fils, Abisaï, Joab, et Hazaël.
      17 Et Abigaïl enfanta Hamasa, dont le père [fut] Jéther Ismaëlite.
      18 Or Caleb fils de Hetsron eut des enfants de Hazuba sa femme, et aussi de Jérihoth ; et ses enfants furent, Jéser, Sobob, et Ardon.
      19 Et Hazuba mourut, et Caleb prit à femme Ephrat, qui lui enfanta Hur.
      20 Et Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaléël.
      21 Après cela Hetsron vint vers la fille de Makir père de Galaad, et la prit [pour sa femme], étant âgé de soixante ans ; et elle lui enfanta Ségub.
      22 Et Ségub engendra Jaïr, qui eut vingt et trois villes au pays de Galaad ;
      23 Et il prit sur Guésur et sur Aram les bourgades de Jaïr, [et] Kénath avec les villes de son ressort, qui sont soixante villes : tous ceux-là furent enfants de Makir père de Galaad.
      24 Et après la mort de Hetsron, lorsque Caleb vint vers Ephrat, la femme de Hetsron Abija lui enfanta Ashur père de Tékoah.
      25 Et les enfants de Jérahméël premier-né de Hetsron furent, Ram son fils aîné, puis Buna, et Oren, et Otsem, nés d'Achija.
      26 Jérahméël eut aussi une autre femme, nommée Hatara, qui fut mère d'Onam.
      27 Et les enfants de Ram premier-né de Jérahméël furent, Mahats, Jamin, et Heker.
      28 Et les enfants d'Onam furent, Sammaï, et Jadah ; et les enfants de Sammaï furent, Nadab, et Abisur.
      29 Le nom de la femme d'Abisur fut Abihaïl, qui lui enfanta Acham, et Molid.
      30 Et les enfants de Nadab furent, Séled, et Appajim ; mais Séled mourut sans enfants.
      31 Et Appajim [n'eut point] de fils [que] Jiséhi ; et Jiséhi [n'eut point] de fils [que] Sésan ; et Sésan [n'eut qu']Ahlaï.
      32 Et les enfants de Jadah, frère de Sammaï, furent Jéther, et Jonathan ; mais Jéther mourut sans enfants.
      33 Et les enfants de Jonathan furent, Péleth, et Zara ; ce furent là les enfants de Jérahméël.
      34 Et Sésan n'eut point de fils, mais des filles ; or il avait un serviteur Egyptien, nommé Jarhah ;
      35 Et Sésan donna sa fille pour femme à Jarhah son serviteur, et elle lui enfanta Hattaï.
      36 Et Hattaï engendra Nathan, et Nathan engendra Zabad ;
      37 Et Zabad engendra Ephlal ; et Ephlal engendra Obed ;
      38 Et Obed engendra Jéhu ; et Jéhu engendra Hazaria ;
      39 Et Hazaria engendra Hélets ; et Hélets engendra Elhasa ;
      40 Et Elhasa engendra Sismaï ; et Sismaï engendra Sallum ;
      41 Et Sallum engendra Jékamia ; et Jékamia engendra Elisamah.
      42 Les enfants de Caleb, frère de Jérahméël, furent, Mésah son premier-né ; celui-ci est le père de Ziph, et les enfants de Marésa père d'Hébron.
      43 Et les enfants d'Hébron furent Korah, Tappuah, Rekem et Sémah.
      44 Et Sémah engendra Raham, père de Jokeham, et Rekem engendra Sammaï.
      45 Le fils de Sammaï fut Mahon ; et Mahon [fut] père de Beth-tsur.
      46 Et Hépha concubine de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Motsa et Gazez ; Haran aussi engendra Gazez.
      47 Et les enfants de Jadaï furent Reguem, Jotham, Guésan, Pelet, Hépha, et Sahaph.
      48 Et Mahaca, la concubine de Caleb, enfanta Séber, et Tirhana.
      49 Et [la femme] de Sahaph, père de Madmanna, enfanta Séva, père de Macbéna, et le père de Guibha, et la fille de Caleb fut Hacsa.
      50 Ceux-ci furent les enfants de Caleb, fils de Hur, premier-né d'Ephrat, Sobal, père de Kirjath-jéharim.
      51 Salma père de Bethléhem, Hareph père de Beth-gader.
      52 Et Sobal père de Kirjath-jéharim eut des enfants, Haroë, [et] Hatsi-menuhoth.
      53 Et les familles de Kirjath-jéharim furent les Jithriens, les Puthiens, les Sumathiens, et les Misrahiens ; dont sont sortis les Tsarhathiens, et les Estaoliens.
      54 Les enfants de Salma, Bethléhem, et les Nétophatiens, Hatroth, Bethjoab, Hatsimenuhoth, et les Tsorhiens.
      55 Et les familles des Scribes, qui habitaient à Jahbets, Tirhathiens, Simhathiens, Suchathiens ; ce sont les Kéniens, qui sont sortis de Hamath père de Réchab.

      37 -Les fils de Rehuel : Nakhath, Zérakh, Shamma, et Mizza.
      38 Et les fils de Séhir : Lotan, et Shobal, et Tsibhon, et Ana, et Dishon, et Etser, et Dishan.
      39 -Et les fils de Lotan : Hori et Homam ; et la soeur de Lotan : Thimna.
      40 -Les fils de Shobal : Alian, et Manakhath, et Ébal, Shephi, et Onam. -Et les fils de Tsibhon : Aïa et Ana.
      41 -Les fils d'Ana : Dishon. -Et les fils de Dishon ; Hamran, et Eshban, et Jithran, et Keran.

      46 -Et Husham mourut ; et à sa place régna Hadad, fils de Bedad, qui frappa Madian dans les champs de Moab ; et le nom de sa ville était Avith.
      47 Et Hadad mourut ; et Samla, de Masréka, régna à sa place.
      48 Et Samla mourut ; et Saül, de Rehoboth sur le fleuve, régna à sa place.
      49 -Et Saül mourut ; et Baal-Hanan, fils d'Acbor, régna à sa place.
      50 -Et Baal-Hanan mourut ; et Hadad régna à sa place ; et le nom de sa ville était Pahi ; et le nom de sa femme, Mehétabeël, fille de Matred, fille de Mézahab.
      51 Et Hadad mourut. Et il y eut des chefs d'Édom : le chef Thimna, le chef Alia, le chef Jetheth,
      52 le chef Oholibama, le chef Éla, le chef Pinon,
      53 le chef Kenaz, le chef Théman, le chef Mibtsar,
      54 le chef Magdiel, le chef Iram. Ce sont là les chefs d'Édom.

      7 -Et les fils de Carmi : Acar, qui troubla Israël et qui pécha au sujet de l'exécration.
      8 -Et les fils d'Éthan : Azaria.
      9 Et les fils qui naquirent à Hetsron : Jerakhmeël, et Ram, et Kelubaï.
      10 Et Ram engendra Amminadab ; et Amminadab engendra Nakhshon, prince des fils de Juda ;
      11 et Nakhshon, engendra Salma ; et Salma engendra Boaz ;
      12 et Boaz engendra Obed ; et Obed engendra Isaï.
      13 Et Isaï engendra son premier-né, Éliab, et Abinadab, le second, et Shimha, le troisième ;
      14 Nethaneël, le quatrième ; Raddaï, le cinquième ;

      18 Et Caleb, fils de Hetsron, eut des enfants d'Azuba, sa femme, et de Jerioth dont voici les fils : Jésher, et Shobab, et Ardon.
      19 -Et Azuba mourut, et Caleb prit pour femme Éphrath, et elle lui enfanta Hur ;
      20 et Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Betsaleël.
      21 -Et après cela, Hetsron vint vers la fille de Makir, père de Galaad, et la prit, lui étant âgé de soixante ans ; et elle lui enfanta Segub ;
      22 et Segub engendra Jaïr, et il eut vingt-trois villes dans le pays de Galaad.
      23 Et Gueshur et Aram leur prirent les bourgs de Jaïr, et Kenath, et les villes de son ressort, soixante villes. -Tous ceux-là furent fils de Makir, père de Galaad.
      24 Et après la mort de Hetsron, à Caleb-Éphratha, Abija, la femme de Hetsron, lui enfanta encore Ashkhur, père de Thekoa.
      25 Et les fils de Jerakhmeël, premier-né de Hetsron, furent Ram, le premier-né, et Buna, et Oren, et Otsem, d'Akhija.
      26 Et Jerakhmeël eut une autre femme, nommée Atara : elle fut mère d'Onam.
      27 -Et les fils de Ram, premier-né de Jerakhmeël furent Maats, et Jamin, et Éker.
      28 Et les fils d'Onam furent Shammaï et Jada ; et les fils de Shammaï : Nadab et Abishur.
      29 Et le nom de la femme d'Abishur était Abikhaïl ; et elle lui enfanta Akhban et Molid.
      30 -Et les fils de Nadab : Séled et Appaïm ; et Séled mourut sans fils.
      31 Et les fils d'Appaïm : Jishi ; et les fils de Jishi : Shéshan ; et les fils de Shéshan : Akhlaï.
      32 -Et les fils de Jada, frère de Shammaï : Jéther et Jonathan ; et Jéther mourut sans fils.
      33 Et les fils de Jonathan : Péleth et Zaza : ce furent là les fils de Jerakhmeël.
      34 Et Shéshan n'eut point de fils, mais des filles ; et Shéshan avait un serviteur égyptien nommé Jarkha ;

      24 After that Hezron was dead in Caleb Ephrathah, then Abijah Hezron's wife bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
      25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.
      26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
