- Josué 18
  
  1 The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.
  
  2 Seven tribes remained among the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.
  
  3 Joshua said to the children of Israel, "How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you?
  
  4 Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come to me.
  
  5 They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.
  
  6 You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh our God.
  
  7 For the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them."
  
  8 The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, "Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before Yahweh in Shiloh."
  
  9 The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions in a book. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
  
  10 Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Yahweh. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.
  
  11 The lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
  
  12 Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.
  
  13 The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (the same is Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth Horon the lower.
  
  14 The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (the same is Kiriath Jearim), a city of the children of Judah. This was the west quarter.
  
  15 The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
  
  16 The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En Rogel.
  
  17 It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
  
  18 It passed along to the side over against the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah.
  
  19 The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.
  
  20 The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.
  
  21 Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,
  
  22 Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
  
  23 Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
  
  24 Chephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.
  
  25 Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
  
  26 Mizpeh, Chephirah, Mozah,
  
  27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
  
  28 Zelah, Eleph, the Jebusite (the same is Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
  
  Josué 19
  
  1 The second lot came out for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah.
  
  2 They had for their inheritance Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,
  
  3 Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,
  
  4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
  
  5 Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,
  
  6 Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;
  
  7 Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan; four cities with their villages;
  
  8 and all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.
  
  9 Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the midst of their inheritance.
  
  10 The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. The border of their inheritance was to Sarid.
  
  11 Their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth. It reached to the brook that is before Jokneam.
  
  12 It turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor. It went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.
  
  13 From there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Ethkazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah.
  
  14 The border turned around it on the north to Hannathon; and it ended at the valley of Iphtah El;
  
  15 Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.
  
  16 This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.
  
  17 The fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the children of Issachar according to their families.
  
  18 Their border was to Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,
  
  19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
  
  20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
  
  21 Remeth, Engannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.
  
  22 The border reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.
  
  23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.
  
  24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.
  
  25 Their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,
  
  26 Allammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.
  
  27 It turned toward the sunrise to Beth Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah El northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. It went out to Cabul on the left hand,
  
  28 and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon.
  
  29 The border turned to Ramah, to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah. It ended at the sea by the region of Achzib;
  
  30 Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.
  
  31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.
  
  32 The sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.
  
  33 Their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, Adaminekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakkum. It ended at the Jordan.
  
  34 The border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok. It reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.
  
  35 The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,
  
  36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,
  
  37 Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,
  
  38 Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.
  
  39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.
  
  40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.
  
  41 The border of their inheritance was Zorah, Eshtaol, Irshemesh,
  
  42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
  
  43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,
  
  44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
  
  45 Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,
  
  46 Me Jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border over against Joppa.
  
  47 The border of the children of Dan went out beyond them; for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.
  
  48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.
  
  49 So they made an end of distributing the land for inheritance by its borders. The children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in their midst.
  
  50 According to the commandment of Yahweh, they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived there.
  
  51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting. So they made an end of dividing the land.
  
  Psaumes 149
  
  1 Praise Yahweh! Sing to Yahweh a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.
  
  2 Let Israel rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
  
  3 Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!
  
  4 For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.
  
  5 Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds.
  
  6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
  
  7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;
  
  8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
  
  9 to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Praise Yah!

  Jérémie 9
  
  1 Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a spring of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!
  
  2 Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men.
  
  3 They bend their tongue, as their bow, for falsehood; and they are grown strong in the land, but not for truth: for they proceed from evil to evil, and they don't know me, says Yahweh.
  
  4 Take heed everyone of his neighbor, and don't trust in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders.
  
  5 They will deceive everyone his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves to commit iniquity.
  
  6 Your habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, says Yahweh.
  
  7 Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how should I deal with the daughter of my people?
  
  8 Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he lays wait for him.
  
  9 Shall I not visit them for these things? says Yahweh; shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
  
  10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none passes through; neither can men hear the voice of the livestock; both the birds of the sky and the animals are fled, they are gone.
  
  11 I will make Jerusalem heaps, a dwelling place of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.
  
  12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? Who is he to whom the mouth of Yahweh has spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land perished and burned up like a wilderness, so that none passes through?
  
  13 Yahweh says, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein,
  
  14 but have walked after the stubbornness of their own heart, and after the Baals, which their fathers taught them;
  
  15 therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.
  
  16 I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them.
  
  17 Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Consider, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for the skillful women, that they may come:
  
  18 and let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
  
  19 For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, How are we ruined! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.
  
  20 Yet hear the word of Yahweh, you women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth; and teach your daughters wailing, and everyone her neighbor lamentation.
  
  21 For death has come up into our windows, it is entered into our palaces; to cut off the children from outside, and the young men from the streets.
  
  22 Speak, Thus says Yahweh, The dead bodies of men shall fall as dung on the open field, and as the handful after the harvester; and none shall gather them.
  
  23 Thus says Yahweh, Don't let the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, don't let the rich man glory in his riches;
  
  24 but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me, that I am Yahweh who exercises loving kindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says Yahweh.
  
  25 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will punish all those who are circumcised in uncircumcision:
  
  26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.

  1
  La tente d'assignation est placée à Silo. (Josué 18:1)
  Le reste du pays de Canaan, encore non distribué. (Josué 18:2-10)
  Les frontières de Benjamin. (Josué 18:11-28)
  Silo se trouvait sur la terre d'Éphraïm, la tribu à laquelle Josué appartenait ; il était logique que la tente d'assignation se trouvât à proximité de la maison de celui qui gouvernait le pays. Le nom de cette ville est le même que celui qui avait été mentionné dans la prophétie de Jacob, en Ge 49:10. Certains supposent que la ville portait déjà ce nom, quand elle fut choisie pour que l'arche y demeure ; c'est en quelque sorte une image de la Paix que nous procure notre Sauveur, et du chemin qu'Il nous offre pour que nous soyons réconciliés avec Dieu.
  
  2 Après une année de combat, voire davantage, Josué blâme le peuple pour sa négligence à prendre possession de Canaan, et lui donne ses instructions pour remédier à cet état. Dieu dans Sa grâce, nous a donné la part d'héritage qui nous était réservée, une bonne part, celle de la Canaan céleste, mais hélas, nous « traînons » pour en prendre possession. Le fait de goûter à la foi, à l'espérance céleste et à la joie sainte, ne nous donne pas le droit de rester oisifs.
  Combien de temps pourrions-nous ainsi végéter, dans cet état, cantonnés à vivre dans notre univers spirituel personnel, à la merci de nos vaines convoitises ?
  Josué encouragea vivement les enfants d'Israël à prendre possession de la terre qui leur était allouée. Le patriarche était prêt à remplir son rôle de dirigeant, à condition que le peuple prenne pleinement ses responsabilités !
  
  11 Les frontières de chaque tribu d'Israël étaient bien distinctes en Canaan, conformément à l'héritage qui leur était dévolu. Toutes polémiques et querelles éventuelles se trouvaient ainsi contrecarrées par la Sagesse divine : seul l'Éternel était en effet capable d'allouer équitablement pour chaque tribu, les collines et les vallées, les terres à céréales et les pâturages, les ruisseaux et les rivières, ainsi que les différentes villes.
  Qu'en est-il de la part réservée aux serviteurs de Dieu ? N'est-elle pas composée de bénédictions, comme de souffrances et d'épreuves ? Le Seigneur s'occupe de tout ce qui nous concerne : laissons-Le accomplir, tout ce qu'Il juge bon pour nous ! Connaissons-nous la prospérité et la paix ? Tout cela vient du ciel. Sachons rester humbles quand nous contemplons les dons que nous recevons : nous sommes loin de les mériter !
  N'oublions pas notre Seigneur, qui fait toutes choses bien, soyons toujours prêts à accepter Ses commandements !
  
  Josué 19
  
  1
  La part réservée à Siméon. (Josué 19:1-9)

  Les parts réservées à Issacar, Aser, Nephtali et Dan. (Josué 19:17-51)
  Les hommes de la tribu de Juda ne se sont pas opposés à ce l'on prenne quelques-unes de leurs villes, à l'intérieur de leurs frontières : ils en possédaient en effet, bien plus qu'ils n'en avaient réellement besoin.
  Si un croyant sincère obtient un avantage indu, qui ne lui soit guère convenable de posséder, il devra l'abandonner sans arrière-pensée.
  L'amour ne cherche pas son propre intérêt, il ne fait rien de Semblable ; il persuadera ceux qui sont dans l'aisance, de partager leurs biens avec leurs frères, qui eux, sont dans le besoin.
  
  10 Dans l'attribution des terres réservées à chaque tribu d'Israël, nous pouvons voir l'accomplissement des promesses divines, reçues par Jacob. Les Hébreux choisirent en effet les lots qui leur étaient assignés, conformément aux prophéties reçues par le patriarche. Ce texte nous permet ainsi de voir toute la véracité de la Parole de Dieu : cela ne peut qu'encourager notre foi et nous prouver que si nous sommes soumis à Sa volonté, nous pourrons alors distinguer quelles sont Ses voies, parmi tous les pièges rencontrés ici-bas.
  
  17 Josué attendit que toutes les tribus d'Israël soient établies et installées, avant de demander quelques avantages personnels. Il savait se contenter de peu, et de ne pas avoir de domicile fixe ; il y a ici un bon exemple à suivre pour tous ceux qui sont dans la fonction publique : savoir donner la priorité aux affaires communes, plutôt qu'aux avantages personnels.
  Ceux qui font le maximum pour le bien de leur prochain, bâtissent en réalité leur propre héritage, dans le Canaan céleste : ils ont en fait, tout le temps pour y accéder, sachant qu'ils doivent d'abord accomplir le service auquel ils sont appelés, auprès de leurs frères. Rien ne saura les valoriser davantage, que cette recherche permanente de l'accomplissement du devoir. Notre Seigneur Jésus vint sur terre et y séjourna, non pas dans un grand apparat, mais dans la pauvreté, procurant le repos à l'homme, n'ayant nul endroit pour reposer Sa tête ; Christ n'a pas cherché Son propre intérêt. Il n'est pas monté au ciel avant que Sa « mission », l'offre de la vie éternelle à Ses enfants, ne soit accomplie dans l'obéissance, par Sa mort ; Il ne reviendra pas en gloire ici-bas, tant que tous les pécheurs repentants n'auront pas pris possession de leur repos céleste !
  
  Psaumes 149
  
  1
  La joie du peuple de Dieu. (Psaumes 149:1-5)
  La terreur de ses ennemis. (Psaumes 149:6-9)
  Les miséricordes incessantes que Dieu nous accorde, nous appellent à entonner des chants de louange, à la fois sur terre et dans les cieux. Et les « Fils de Sion » ne doivent pas seulement glorifier Dieu, leur créateur, mais ils doivent se réjouir en Lui, ayant été créés en Christ, et étant rendus saints, parmi les hommes. Le Seigneur prend plaisir en Son peuple ; celui-ci, en retour, devrait se réjouir en Lui. Quand le Seigneur Jésus a montré aux pécheurs leur indignité, Il les a ornés des grâces de Son Esprit, Il leur a donné un modèle de Son image afin qu'ils soient heureux, dans Sa joie, éternellement.
  Que Ses saints, dès l'aube, puissent le glorifier par des chants de louange. Qu'ils se réjouissent, même sur leur lit de mort, étant assurés qu'ils sont en route vers le repos éternel et la gloire.
  
  6 Certains serviteurs de Dieu, autrefois, étaient désignés pour accomplir la vengeance divine, selon Sa parole. Ils n'accomplissaient pas cette tâche à titre de vengeance personnelle ou avec des motifs politiques, mais en toute obéissance aux commandements divins. Tout l'honneur des saints réside dans le triomphe sur les ennemis de leur salut.
  Christ n'a jamais eu l'intention de voir l'évangile se répandre par le feu et l'épée ; il n'a pas voulu que Sa droiture soit révélée par la colère humaine. Que de belles louanges émanent de nos bouches, pendant que Christ manie l'épée de la Parole de Dieu, avec le bouclier de la foi, dans cette guerre avec le monde, la chair et le mal. Les saints seront plus que des conquérants, contre les ennemis de leur foi, par le sang de l'Agneau et de Sa Parole. Cela sera pleinement accompli et exécuté au grand jour du jugement. Contemplez Jésus, l'évangile et l'église au temps futur du millénium. Le Seigneur et Son peuple se réjouiront ensemble, des prières et des tâches accomplies pour Son œuvre, Christ avançant, soit sur le char du salut, en conquérant les pécheurs par la grâce, soit sur celui de la vengeance, pour détruire Ses ennemis.
  
  Psaumes 150
  
  1
  Psaume de louange.
  - Nous sommes invités ici, à louer Dieu. Il faut louer Dieu dans Son sanctuaire, pour bénéficier du privilège d'avoir Sa présence parmi nous ; il faut le louer pour la puissance et la gloire qu'Il représente dans le firmament.
  Ceux qui louent le Seigneur dans les cieux, contemplent l'étendue de Sa puissance et de Sa gloire, choses que nous pouvons à peine concevoir. Mais le plus représentatif pour nous, se retrouve dans Son sanctuaire terrestre. La sainteté et l'amour de notre Dieu sont plus manifestes dans la rédemption de l'homme que dans toutes les autres œuvres divines. Louons notre Sauveur et notre Dieu pour cela !
  Nous n'avons pas besoin de nous soucier de la nature des divers instruments de musique cités dans ce psaume. Il est mentionné que pour le service de Dieu, notre peine ne doit pas être épargnée. Louons Dieu avec une foi fervente ; louons-Le avec un saint amour et avec joie ; louons-Le avec une parfaite confiance en Christ ; louons-Le avec une foi qui triomphe sur les puissances des ténèbres ; louons-Le avec un parfait respect pour tous Ses commandements et tous Ses préceptes ; louons-Le en nous réjouissant dans Son amour, tout en cherchant le réconfort dans Sa bonté ; louons-Le pour promouvoir les intérêts du royaume de Sa Grâce ; même au terme de notre vie, louons le Seigneur ! Nous pourrons, alors, vivre nos derniers instants le cœur en paix.
  Que tout ce qui respire loue le Seigneur. Louons donc le Seigneur, que nos vies soient comparables à un livre rempli de louanges, inspiré par l'Esprit de Dieu ! Un livre qui peut fournir à l'église des cantiques pour plus d'un millier d'années ; un livre qui puisse être cité sans cesse par Christ et Ses apôtres ; un livre qui présente les pensées les plus nobles sur Dieu et Son gouvernement, qui montre Sa perfection, pour nous conduire à chaque étape de la vie ; un livre qui révèle une expérience religieuse positive avec le Très Haut, qui, enfin, porte les marques claires et simples de son origine divine !
  
  Jérémie 9
  
  1
  Le peuple d'Israël est réprimandé, Jérusalem est détruite. (Jérémie 9:1-11)
  Les captifs souffrent sur une terre étrangère. (Jérémie 9:12-22)
  L'amour divin bienveillant ; Il menace les ennemis du peuple de Dieu. (Jérémie 9:23-26)
  Jérémie pleurait énormément ; il souhaitait cependant pleurer davantage, afin de sensibiliser encore plus le peuple, à la puissance de la Main divine.
  Le désert spirituel, lieu sans communion avec Dieu, ni avec Jésus-Christ, sans les influences de l'Esprit Saint, est un endroit où résident le mal et la tentation ; avec tout ce que le Seigneur nous accorde pour rester en Lui, nous pouvons vraiment vivre dans la sainteté, même dans les villes surpeuplées, où règne l'impiété.
  Le peuple d'Israël avait l'habitude de proférer de nombreux mensonges, à tel point, qu'il était impossible de faire confiance à un frère. Dans leurs transactions diverses et leur négoce, ils s'exprimaient sous forme de paroles malhonnêtes, afin de posséder toujours davantage. Mais Dieu a condamné leur péché.
  Là où il n'y a aucune connaissance de Dieu, quel bien peut-on escompter ? Il y a beaucoup de manières de transformer une terre fructueuse en lieu stérile, par la méchanceté de ceux qui y séjournent !
  
  12 Il était habituel d'entendre en Sion, des paroles de joie et de louange, alors que le peuple gardait une certaine piété ; mais le péché changea cet état de choses : on pouvait désormais y percevoir des lamentations.
  Les cœurs non repentants déplorent souvent les calamités qui les atteignent, mais ne mentionnent jamais leur péché, véritable cause de toutes leurs épreuves. Même si nos « portes spirituelles » sont fermées, la mort parvient à nous atteindre. Elle entre dans les palais des princes et des grands de ce monde, malgré leurs diverses protections, et leurs nombreux gardiens ! Ceux qui résident au loin, à l'étranger, ne sont pas épargnés pour autant ; la mort atteint même les enfants et les jeunes gens.
  Prêtez l'oreille à la Parole de Dieu, et pleurez sur vos iniquités, en recherchant les voies de la piété : c'est le seul moyen d'obtenir un véritable réconfort spirituel ; le Seigneur peut transformer les afflictions les plus pénibles, en grâces merveilleuses !
  
  23 En ce monde de péché et de douleur, dont la fin ne peut être que mort et jugement, on peut constater la folie des hommes, se targuant de leurs connaissances, leur santé, leurs forces, leurs richesses, ou tout ce qui les conduit sous la domination du péché, et par voie de conséquence, devant la colère divine ! Ils devront, en final, rendre compte de leur conduite, qui peu à peu, ne fera que se dégrader.
  Le véritable « Israël » spirituel, (ceux qui adorent Dieu en Esprit et en Vérité), se réjouit en Jésus-Christ, ne faisant aucune confiance à la chair.
  Attachons énormément de prix à la distinction de « rachetés », accordée par Dieu, elle durera à jamais : cherchons avec diligence, à faire partie de cette famille !
