- 2 Samuel 20
  
  1 Et il se rencontra là un homme de Bélial, son nom était Shéba, fils de Bicri, Benjaminite ; et il sonna de la trompette, et dit : Nous n'avons point part en David, ni d'héritage dans le fils d'Isaï.
  
  2 Chacun à sa tente, Israël ! Et tous les hommes d'Israël, se séparant de David, suivirent Shéba, fils de Bicri ; mais les hommes de Juda s'attachèrent à leur roi, depuis le Jourdain jusqu'à Jérusalem.
  
  3 Et David vint dans sa maison à Jérusalem. Et le roi prit les dix femmes concubines qu'il avait laissées pour garder la maison, et les mit dans une maison où elles étaient gardées, et les entretint ; mais il n'entra pas vers elles ; et elles furent enfermées jusqu'au jour de leur mort, vivant dans le veuvage.
  
  4 Et le roi dit à Amasa : Rassemble-moi en trois jours les hommes de Juda ; et toi, sois présent ici.
  
  5 Et Amasa s'en alla pour rassembler Juda ; mais il tarda au delà du terme qui lui était assigné.
  
  6 Et David dit à Abishaï : Maintenant Shéba, fils de Bicri, nous fera plus de mal qu'Absalom. Toi, prends les serviteurs de ton seigneur, et poursuis-le, de peur qu'il ne trouve des villes fortes, et qu'il ne se dérobe à nos yeux.
  
  7 Et les hommes de Joab sortirent après lui, et les Keréthiens, et les Peléthiens, et tous les hommes forts ; et ils sortirent de Jérusalem pour poursuivre Shéba, fils de Bicri.
  
  8 Ils étaient près de la grande pierre qui est à Gabaon, qu'Amasa arriva devant eux. Et Joab était ceint de la casaque dont il était vêtu, et, par-dessus, il avait le ceinturon de l'épée attachée sur ses reins dans son fourreau ; et comme il s'avançait, elle tomba.
  
  9 Et Joab dit à Amasa : Te portes-tu bien, mon frère ? Et Joab de sa main droite saisit la barbe d'Amasa, pour le baiser.
  
  10 Et Amasa ne prenait pas garde à l'épée qui était dans la main de Joab ; et Joab l'en frappa dans le ventre, et répandit ses entrailles à terre, sans le frapper une seconde fois ; et il mourut. Et Joab, et Abishaï, son frère, poursuivirent Shéba, fils de Bicri.
  
  11 Et l'un des jeunes hommes de Joab se tint près d'Amasa, et dit : Quiconque prend plaisir en Joab et quiconque est pour David, qu'il suive Joab !
  
  12 Et Amasa se roulait dans son sang, au milieu de la route ; et quand cet homme vit que tout le peuple s'arrêtait, il tira Amasa hors de la route dans un champ, et jeta un vêtement sur lui, quand il vit que tous ceux qui arrivaient près de lui s'arrêtaient.
  
  13 Quand il fut ôté de la route, tous les hommes passèrent outre après Joab, afin de poursuivre Shéba, fils de Bicri.
  
  14 Et celui-ci passa par toutes les tribus d'Israël, jusqu'à Abel et Beth-Maaca, et tout Bérim ; et ils se rassemblèrent, et le suivirent aussi.
  
  15 Et ils vinrent et assiégèrent Shéba dans Abel-Beth-Maaca, et ils élevèrent contre la ville une terrasse, et elle se dressait contre l'avant-mur ; et tout le peuple qui était avec Joab sapait pour faire tomber la muraille.
  
  16 Et une femme sage cria de la ville : Écoutez, écoutez ! Dites, je vous prie, à Joab : Approche jusqu'ici, et je te parlerai.
  
  17 Et il s'approcha d'elle. Et la femme dit : Es-tu Joab ? Et il dit : C'est moi. Et elle lui dit : Écoute les paroles de ta servante. Et il dit : J'écoute.
  
  18 Et elle parla et dit : On avait coutume autrefois de parler, disant : Demandez seulement Abel, et ainsi on en finissait.
  
  19 Moi, je suis paisible et fidèle en Israël ; toi, tu cherches à faire périr une ville et une mère en Israël ; pourquoi veux-tu engloutir l'héritage de l'Éternel ?
  
  20 Et Joab répondit et dit : Loin de moi, loin de moi, de vouloir engloutir et détruire !
  
  21 La chose n'est pas ainsi, mais un homme de la montagne d'Éphraïm, qui a nom Shéba, fils de Bicri, a levé sa main contre le roi, contre David ; livrez-le, lui seul, et je m'en irai de devant la ville. Et la femme dit à Joab : Voici, sa tête te sera jetée par la muraille.
  
  22 Et la femme vint vers tout le peuple, avec sa sagesse ; et ils coupèrent la tête de Shéba, fils de Bicri, et la jetèrent à Joab. Et il sonna de la trompette, et on se dispersa de devant la ville, chacun à sa tente ; et Joab retourna à Jérusalem vers le roi.
  
  23 Et Joab était préposé sur toute l'armée d'Israël ; et Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, sur les Keréthiens et sur les Peléthiens ;
  
  24 et Adoram, sur les levées ; et Josaphat, fils d'Akhilud, était rédacteur des chroniques ;
  
  25 et Sheva était scribe, et Tsadok et Abiathar, sacrificateurs ;
  
  26 et Ira aussi, le Jaïrite, était principal officier de David.
  
  Ezéchiel 27
  
  1 Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
  
  2 Et toi, fils d'homme, élève une complainte sur Tyr, et dis à Tyr :
  
  3 Toi qui demeures aux avenues de la mer, qui trafiques avec les peuples dans beaucoup d'îles, ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Tyr, tu as dit : Je suis parfaite en beauté.
  
  4 Tes frontières sont au coeur des mers ; ceux qui t'ont bâtie ont rendu ta beauté parfaite.
  
  5 Avec le cyprès de Senir ils construisaient tous tes doubles bordages ; ils prenaient le cèdre du Liban pour faire ta mâture ;
  
  6 avec les chênes de Basan ils faisaient tes rames ; ils faisaient tes ponts d'ivoire enchâssé dans le buis des îles de Kittim.
  
  7 Le fin lin brodé d'Égypte était ta voile et te servait de pavillon ; le bleu et la pourpre des îles d'Élisha étaient ta tente ;
  
  8 les habitants de Sidon et d'Arvad étaient tes rameurs. Tes sages, ô Tyr, qui étaient en toi, étaient tes pilotes.
  
  9 Les anciens de Guebal et ses sages étaient en toi, réparant tes fissures ; tous les navires de la mer et leurs marins étaient chez toi, pour faire trafic avec toi.
  
  10 La Perse, et Lud, et Puth, étaient dans ton armée tes hommes de guerre ; ils suspendaient chez toi le bouclier et le casque, ils faisaient ta splendeur.
  
  11 Les fils d'Arvad et ton armée étaient autour sur tes murailles, et tes guerriers étaient dans tes tours ; ils suspendaient leurs boucliers à tes murailles tout autour, ils rendaient parfaite ta beauté.
  
  12 -Tarsis commerçait avec toi pour l'abondance de tous biens ; d'argent, de fer, d'étain, et de plomb, ils fournissaient tes marchés.
  
  13 Javan, Tubal et Méshec étaient tes marchands ; ils fournissaient à ton trafic des âmes d'hommes et des ustensiles d'airain.
  
  14 De la maison de Togarma ils fournissaient tes marchés en chevaux, et en cavaliers, et en mulets.
  
  15 Les fils de Dedan étaient tes marchands ; de nombreuses îles étaient en relation de commerce avec toi ; elles te donnaient en retour des dents d'ivoire et de l'ébène.
  
  16 La Syrie commerçait avec toi à cause de la multitude de tes ouvrages ; ils fournissaient tes marchés d'escarboucles, de pourpre, de broderie, et de fin lin, et de corail, et de rubis.
  
  17 Juda et le pays d'Israël étaient tes marchands ; ils fournissaient à ton trafic du froment de Minnith, et de la pâtisserie, et du miel, et de l'huile, et du baume.
  
  18 Pour la multitude de tes ouvrages, à cause de l'abondance de tous biens, Damas commerçait avec toi en vin de Helbon et en laine blanche.
  
  19 Vedan, et Javan d'Uzal, fournissaient tes marchés de fer ouvragé ; la casse et le roseau aromatique étaient dans ton trafic.
  
  20 Dedan était ton marchand en draps précieux pour housses de cheval.
  
  21 L'Arabie et tous les princes de Kédar étaient en relation de commerce avec toi ; en agneaux, en béliers et en boucs, en ces choses-là, ils étaient tes commerçants.
  
  22 Les marchands de Sheba et de Rahma étaient tes marchands ; ils fournissaient tes marchés de tout aromate excellent, et de toute pierre précieuse, et d'or.
  
  23 Charan, et Canné, et Éden, les marchands de Sheba, Assur, Kilmad, ta marchande,
  
  24 trafiquaient avec toi en objets de prix, en draps bleus, et en broderies, et en caisses de riches étoffes, liées de cordes et faites de cèdre, entre tes marchandises.
  
  25 Les navires de Tarsis étaient tes caravanes, pour ton trafic ; et tu as été remplie et tu es devenue extrêmement glorieuse au coeur des mers.
  
  26 Tes rameurs t'ont amenée dans de grandes eaux ; le vent d'orient t'a brisée au coeur des mers.
  
  27 Tes richesses et tes échanges, ton trafic, tes marins et tes pilotes, ceux qui réparent tes fissures, et ceux qui font trafic avec toi, et tous tes hommes de guerre qui sont en toi, et toute ta multitude qui est au milieu de toi, tomberont au coeur des mers, au jour de ta chute.
  
  28 Les lieux ouverts trembleront au bruit du cri de tes pilotes.
  
  29 Et tous ceux qui manient la rame, les marins, tous les pilotes de la mer, descendront de leurs navires ;
  
  30 ils se tiendront sur la terre, et feront entendre leur voix sur toi, et crieront amèrement ; et ils jetteront de la poussière sur leurs têtes, ils se rouleront dans la cendre ;
  
  31 et ils se rendront chauves à cause de toi, et se ceindront de sacs, et pleureront sur toi avec amertume d'âme, avec un deuil amer.
  
  32 Et dans leur gémissement ils élèveront sur toi une complainte, ils se lamenteront sur toi : Qui fut comme Tyr, comme celle qui est détruite au milieu de la mer ?
  
  33 Par les débouchés de tes marchés au delà des mers tu as rassasié beaucoup de peuples ; par l'abondance de tes richesses et de ton trafic tu as enrichi les rois de la terre.
  
  34 Au temps où tu as été brisée par les mers dans les profondeurs des eaux, ton trafic et toute ta multitude au milieu de toi sont tombés.
  
  35 Tous les habitants des îles sont dans la stupeur à cause de toi, et leurs rois frémiront d'horreur, leurs visages sont agités.
  
  36 Les marchands parmi les peuples ont sifflé sur toi ; tu es devenue une terreur, et tu ne seras plus, à jamais.
  
  2 Corinthiens 13
  
  1 C'est ici la troisième fois que je viens à vous : par la bouche de deux ou de trois témoins toute affaire sera établie.
  
  2 J'ai déjà dit, et je dis à l'avance, comme si j'étais présent pour la seconde fois, et maintenant étant absent, à ceux qui ont péché auparavant et à tous les autres, que si je viens encore une fois, je n'épargnerai pas.
  
  3 Puisque vous cherchez une preuve que Christ parle en moi (lequel n'est pas faible envers vous, mais puissant au milieu de vous ;
  
  4 car même s'il a été crucifié en infirmité, néanmoins il vit par la puissance de Dieu ; car aussi nous, nous sommes faibles en lui, mais nous vivrons avec lui, par la puissance de Dieu envers vous),
  
  5 examinez-vous vous-mêmes, et voyez si vous êtes dans la foi ; éprouvez-vous vous-mêmes. Ne reconnaissez-vous pas à l'égard de vous-mêmes que Jésus Christ est en vous ? à moins que vous ne soyez des réprouvés ;
  
  6 mais j'espère que vous connaîtrez que nous, nous ne sommes pas des réprouvés.
  
  7 Mais nous prions Dieu que vous ne fassiez aucun mal, non afin que nous, nous paraissions approuvés, mais afin que vous, vous fassiez ce qui est bon, et que nous, nous soyons comme des réprouvés ;
  
  8 car nous ne pouvons rien contre la vérité, mais pour la vérité.
  
  9 Car nous nous réjouissons lorsque nous, sous sommes faibles, et que vous, vous êtes puissants : et nous demandons ceci aussi, votre perfectionnement.
  
  10 C'est pourquoi j'écris ces choses étant absent, afin que, quand je serai présent, je n'use pas de sévérité, selon l'autorité que le Seigneur m'a donnée pour l'édification et non pas pour la destruction.
  
  11 Au reste, frères, réjouissez-vous ; perfectionnez-vous ; soyez consolés ; ayez un même sentiment ; vivez en paix : et le Dieu d'amour et de paix sera avec vous.
  
  12 Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un saint baiser.
  
  13 Tous les saints vous saluent.
  
  14 (13 : 13b) Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus Christ, et l'amour de Dieu, et la communion du Saint Esprit, soient avec vous tous !
- 2 Samuel 20
  
  1 There happened to be there a base fellow, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew the trumpet, and said, "We have no portion in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse. Every man to his tents, Israel!"
  
  2 So all the men of Israel went up from following David, and followed Sheba the son of Bichri; but the men of Judah joined with their king, from the Jordan even to Jerusalem.
  
  3 David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in custody, and provided them with sustenance, but didn't go in to them. So they were shut up to the day of their death, living in widowhood.
  
  4 Then the king said to Amasa, "Call me the men of Judah together within three days, and be here present."
  
  5 So Amasa went to call the men of Judah together; but he stayed longer than the set time which he had appointed him.
  
  6 David said to Abishai, "Now Sheba the son of Bichri will do us more harm than Absalom did. Take your lord's servants, and pursue after him, lest he get himself fortified cities, and escape out of our sight."
  
  7 There went out after him Joab's men, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men; and they went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
  
  8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, Amasa came to meet them. Joab was clothed in his apparel of war that he had put on, and on it was a sash with a sword fastened on his waist in its sheath; and as he went forth it fell out.
  
  9 Joab said to Amasa, "Is it well with you, my brother?" Joab took Amasa by the beard with his right hand to kiss him.
  
  10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand. So he struck him with it in the body, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and didn't strike him again; and he died. Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri.
  
  11 There stood by him one of Joab's young men, and said, "He who favors Joab, and he who is for David, let him follow Joab!"
  
  12 Amasa lay wallowing in his blood in the midst of the highway. When the man saw that all the people stood still, he carried Amasa out of the highway into the field, and cast a garment over him, when he saw that everyone who came by him stood still.
  
  13 When he was removed out of the highway, all the people went on after Joab, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
  
  14 He went through all the tribes of Israel to Abel, and to Beth Maacah, and all the Berites: and they were gathered together, and went also after him.
  
  15 They came and besieged him in Abel of Beth Maacah, and they cast up a mound against the city, and it stood against the rampart; and all the people who were with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down.
  
  16 Then a wise woman cried out of the city, "Hear, hear! Please say to Joab, 'Come near here, that I may speak with you.'"
  
  17 He came near to her; and the woman said, "Are you Joab?" He answered, "I am." Then she said to him, "Hear the words of your handmaid." He answered, "I do hear."
  
  18 Then she spoke, saying, "They were used to say in old times, 'They shall surely ask counsel at Abel;' and so they settled it.
  
  19 I am among those who are peaceable and faithful in Israel. You seek to destroy a city and a mother in Israel. Why will you swallow up the inheritance of Yahweh?"
  
  20 Joab answered, "Far be it, far be it from me, that I should swallow up or destroy.
  
  21 The matter is not so. But a man of the hill country of Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, has lifted up his hand against the king, even against David. Deliver him only, and I will depart from the city." The woman said to Joab, "Behold, his head shall be thrown to you over the wall."
  
  22 Then the woman went to all the people in her wisdom. They cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri, and threw it out to Joab. He blew the trumpet, and they were dispersed from the city, every man to his tent. Joab returned to Jerusalem to the king.
  
  23 Now Joab was over all the army of Israel; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and over the Pelethites;
  
  24 and Adoram was over the men subject to forced labor; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder;
  
  25 and Sheva was scribe; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
  
  26 and also Ira the Jairite was chief minister to David.
  
  Ezéchiel 27
  
  1 The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,
  
  2 You, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;
  
  3 and tell Tyre, you who dwell at the entry of the sea, who are the merchant of the peoples to many islands, thus says the Lord Yahweh: You, Tyre, have said, I am perfect in beauty.
  
  4 Your borders are in the heart of the seas; your builders have perfected your beauty.
  
  5 They have made all your planks of fir trees from Senir; they have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.
  
  6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; they have made your benches of ivory inlaid in boxwood, from the islands of Kittim.
  
  7 Of fine linen with embroidered work from Egypt was your sail, that it might be to you for a banner; blue and purple from the islands of Elishah was your awning.
  
  8 The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers: your wise men, Tyre, were in you, they were your pilots.
  
  9 The old men of Gebal and the wise men of it were in you your repairers of ship seams: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you to deal in your merchandise.
  
  10 Persia and Lud and Put were in your army, your men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in you; they set forth your comeliness.
  
  11 The men of Arvad with your army were on your walls all around, and valorous men were in your towers; they hanged their shields on your walls all around; they have perfected your beauty.
  
  12 Tarshish was your merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded for your wares.
  
  13 Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were your traffickers; they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass for your merchandise.
  
  14 They of the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses and war horses and mules.
  
  15 The men of Dedan were your traffickers; many islands were the market of your hand: they brought you in exchange horns of ivory and ebony.
  
  16 Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of your handiworks: they traded for your wares with emeralds, purple, and embroidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and rubies.
  
  17 Judah, and the land of Israel, they were your traffickers: they traded for your merchandise wheat of Minnith, and confections, and honey, and oil, and balm.
  
  18 Damascus was your merchant for the multitude of your handiworks, by reason of the multitude of all kinds of riches, with the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
  
  19 Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for your wares: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were among your merchandise.
  
  20 Dedan was your trafficker in precious cloths for riding.
  
  21 Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they were the merchants of your hand; in lambs, and rams, and goats, in these were they your merchants.
  
  22 The traffickers of Sheba and Raamah, they were your traffickers; they traded for your wares with the chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
  
  23 Haran and Canneh and Eden, the traffickers of Sheba, Asshur [and] Chilmad, were your traffickers.
  
  24 These were your traffickers in choice wares, in wrappings of blue and embroidered work, and in chests of rich clothing, bound with cords and made of cedar, among your merchandise.
  
  25 The ships of Tarshish were your caravans for your merchandise: and you were replenished, and made very glorious in the heart of the seas.
  
  26 Your rowers have brought you into great waters: the east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas.
  
  27 Your riches, and your wares, your merchandise, your mariners, and your pilots, your repairers of ship seams, and the dealers in your merchandise, and all your men of war, who are in you, with all your company which is in the midst of you, shall fall into the heart of the seas in the day of your ruin.
  
  28 At the sound of the cry of your pilots the suburbs shall shake.
  
  29 All who handled the oar, the mariners, [and] all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships; they shall stand on the land,
  
  30 and shall cause their voice to be heard over you, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust on their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
  
  31 and they shall make themselves bald for you, and clothe them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for you in bitterness of soul with bitter mourning.
  
  32 In their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, [saying], Who is there like Tyre, like her who is brought to silence in the midst of the sea?
  
  33 When your wares went forth out of the seas, you filled many peoples; you enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
  
  34 In the time that you were broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company fell in your midst.
  
  35 All the inhabitants of the islands are astonished at you, and their kings are horribly afraid; they are troubled in their face.
  
  36 The merchants among the peoples hiss at you; you are become a terror, and you shall nevermore have any being.
  
  2 Corinthiens 13
  
  1 This is the third time I am coming to you. "At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."
  
  2 I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to those who have sinned before now, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare;
  
  3 seeing that you seek a proof of Christ who speaks in me; who toward you is not weak, but is powerful in you.
  
  4 For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we will live with him through the power of God toward you.
  
  5 Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don't you know as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you are disqualified.
  
  6 But I hope that you will know that we aren't disqualified.
  
  7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we are as reprobate.
  
  8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
  
  9 For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. And this we also pray for, even your perfecting.
  
  10 For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for tearing down.
  
  11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
  
  12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
  
  13 All the saints greet you.
  
  14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.

  1 וְשָׁ֨ם נִקְרָ֜א אִ֣ישׁ בְּלִיַּ֗עַל וּשְׁמ֛וֹ שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִ֖י אִ֣ישׁ יְמִינִ֑י וַיִּתְקַ֣ע בַּשֹּׁפָ֗ר וַ֠יֹּאמֶר אֵֽין־לָ֨נוּ חֵ֜לֶק בְּדָוִ֗ד וְלֹ֤א נַֽחֲלָה־לָ֙נוּ֙ בְּבֶן־יִשַׁ֔י אִ֥ישׁ לְאֹהָלָ֖יו יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  2 וַיַּ֜עַל כָּל־אִ֤ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י דָוִ֔ד אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֣בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִ֑י וְאִ֤ישׁ יְהוּדָה֙ דָּבְק֣וּ בְמַלְכָּ֔ם מִן־הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן וְעַד־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
  
  3 וַיָּבֹ֨א דָוִ֣ד אֶל־בֵּיתוֹ֮ יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם֒ וַיִּקַּ֣ח הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ אֵ֣ת עֶֽשֶׂר־נָשִׁ֣ים ׀ פִּלַגְשִׁ֡ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִנִּיחַ֩ לִשְׁמֹ֨ר הַבַּ֜יִת וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֤ם בֵּית־מִשְׁמֶ֙רֶת֙ וַֽיְכַלְכְּלֵ֔ם וַאֲלֵיהֶ֖ם לֹא־בָ֑א וַתִּהְיֶ֧ינָה צְרֻר֛וֹת עַד־י֥וֹם מֻתָ֖ן אַלְמְנ֥וּת חַיּֽוּת׃
  
  4 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ אֶל־עֲמָשָׂ֔א הַזְעֶק־לִ֥י אֶת־אִישׁ־יְהוּדָ֖ה שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים וְאַתָּ֖ה פֹּ֥ה עֲמֹֽד׃
  
  5 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ עֲמָשָׂ֖א לְהַזְעִ֣יק אֶת־יְהוּדָ֑ה *וייחר **וַיּ֕וֹחֶר מִן־הַמּוֹעֵ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְעָדֽוֹ׃
  
  6 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִד֙ אֶל־אֲבִישַׁ֔י עַתָּ֗ה יֵ֧רַֽע לָ֛נוּ שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִ֖י מִן־אַבְשָׁל֑וֹם אַ֠תָּה קַ֞ח אֶת־עַבְדֵ֤י אֲדֹנֶ֙יךָ֙ וּרְדֹ֣ף אַחֲרָ֔יו פֶּן־מָ֥צָא ל֛וֹ עָרִ֥ים בְּצֻר֖וֹת וְהִצִּ֥יל עֵינֵֽנוּ׃
  
  7 וַיֵּצְא֤וּ אַֽחֲרָיו֙ אַנְשֵׁ֣י יוֹאָ֔ב וְהַכְּרֵתִ֥י וְהַפְּלֵתִ֖י וְכָל־הַגִּבֹּרִ֑ים וַיֵּֽצְאוּ֙ מִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם לִרְדֹּ֕ף אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִֽי׃
  
  8 הֵ֗ם עִם־הָאֶ֤בֶן הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּגִבְע֔וֹן וַעֲמָשָׂ֖א בָּ֣א לִפְנֵיהֶ֑ם וְיוֹאָ֞ב חָג֣וּר ׀ מִדּ֣וֹ לְבֻשׁ֗וּ *ועלו **וְעָלָ֞יו חֲג֥וֹר חֶ֙רֶב֙ מְצֻמֶּ֤דֶת עַל־מָתְנָיו֙ בְּתַעְרָ֔הּ וְה֥וּא יָצָ֖א וַתִּפֹּֽל׃
  
  9 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹאָב֙ לַעֲמָשָׂ֔א הֲשָׁל֥וֹם אַתָּ֖ה אָחִ֑י וַתֹּ֜חֶז יַד־יְמִ֥ין יוֹאָ֛ב בִּזְקַ֥ן עֲמָשָׂ֖א לִנְשָׁק־לֽוֹ׃
  
  10 וַעֲמָשָׂ֨א לֹֽא־נִשְׁמַ֜ר בַּחֶ֣רֶב ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיַד־יוֹאָ֗ב וַיַּכֵּהוּ֩ בָ֨הּ אֶל־הַחֹ֜מֶשׁ וַיִּשְׁפֹּ֨ךְ מֵעָ֥יו אַ֛רְצָה וְלֹא־שָׁ֥נָה ל֖וֹ וַיָּמֹ֑ת סוְיוֹאָב֙ וַאֲבִישַׁ֣י אָחִ֔יו רָדַ֕ף אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִֽי׃
  
  11 וְאִישׁ֙ עָמַ֣ד עָלָ֔יו מִֽנַּעֲרֵ֖י יוֹאָ֑ב וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מִי֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר חָפֵ֧ץ בְּיוֹאָ֛ב וּמִ֥י אֲשֶׁר־לְדָוִ֖ד אַחֲרֵ֥י יוֹאָֽב׃
  
  12 וַעֲמָשָׂ֛א מִתְגֹּלֵ֥ל בַּדָּ֖ם בְּת֣וֹךְ הַֽמְסִּלָּ֑ה וַיַּ֨רְא הָאִ֜ישׁ כִּֽי־עָמַ֣ד כָּל־הָעָ֗ם וַיַּסֵּב֩ אֶת־עֲמָשָׂ֨א מִן־הַֽמְסִלָּ֤ה הַשָּׂדֶה֙ וַיַּשְׁלֵ֤ךְ עָלָיו֙ בֶּ֔גֶד כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר רָאָ֔ה כָּל־הַבָּ֥א עָלָ֖יו וְעָמָֽד׃
  
  13 כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הֹגָ֖ה מִן־הַֽמְסִלָּ֑ה עָבַ֤ר כָּל־אִישׁ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י יוֹאָ֔ב לִרְדֹּ֕ף אַחֲרֵ֖י שֶׁ֥בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִֽי׃
  
  14 וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֞ר בְּכָל־שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אָבֵ֛לָה וּבֵ֥ית מַעֲכָ֖ה וְכָל־הַבֵּרִ֑ים ס*ויקלהו **וַיִּקָּ֣הֲל֔וּ וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ אַף־אַחֲרָֽיו׃
  
  15 וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ וַיָּצֻ֣רוּ עָלָ֗יו בְּאָבֵ֙לָה֙ בֵּ֣ית הַֽמַּעֲכָ֔ה וַיִּשְׁפְּכ֤וּ סֹֽלְלָה֙ אֶל־הָעִ֔יר וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד בַּחֵ֑ל וְכָל־הָעָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶת־יוֹאָ֔ב מַשְׁחִיתִ֖ם לְהַפִּ֥יל הַחוֹמָֽה׃
  
  16 וַתִּקְרָ֛א אִשָּׁ֥ה חֲכָמָ֖ה מִן־הָעִ֑יר שִׁמְע֤וּ שִׁמְעוּ֙ אִמְרוּ־נָ֣א אֶל־יוֹאָ֔ב קְרַ֣ב עַד־הֵ֔נָּה וַאֲדַבְּרָ֖ה אֵלֶֽיךָ׃
  
  17 וַיִּקְרַ֣ב אֵלֶ֔יהָ וַתֹּ֧אמֶר הָאִשָּׁ֛ה הַאַתָּ֥ה יוֹאָ֖ב וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אָ֑נִי וַתֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ שְׁמַע֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שֹׁמֵ֥עַ אָנֹֽכִי׃
  
  18 וַתֹּ֖אמֶר לֵאמֹ֑ר דַּבֵּ֨ר יְדַבְּר֤וּ בָרִֽאשֹׁנָה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר שָׁאֹ֧ל יְשָׁאֲל֛וּ בְּאָבֵ֖ל וְכֵ֥ן הֵתַֽמּוּ׃
  
  19 אָנֹכִ֕י שְׁלֻמֵ֖י אֱמוּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אַתָּ֣ה מְבַקֵּ֗שׁ לְהָמִ֨ית עִ֤יר וְאֵם֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לָ֥מָּה תְבַלַּ֖ע נַחֲלַ֥ת יְהוָֽה׃
  
  20 וַיַּ֥עַן יוֹאָ֖ב וַיֹּאמַ֑ר חָלִ֤ילָה חָלִ֙ילָה֙ לִ֔י אִם־אֲבַלַּ֖ע וְאִם־אַשְׁחִֽית׃
  
  21 לֹא־כֵ֣ן הַדָּבָ֗ר כִּ֡י אִישׁ֩ מֵהַ֨ר אֶפְרַ֜יִם שֶׁ֧בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִ֣י שְׁמ֗וֹ נָשָׂ֤א יָדוֹ֙ בַּמֶּ֣לֶךְ בְּדָוִ֔ד תְּנֽוּ־אֹת֣וֹ לְבַדּ֔וֹ וְאֵלְכָ֖ה מֵעַ֣ל הָעִ֑יר וַתֹּ֤אמֶר הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ אֶל־יוֹאָ֔ב הִנֵּ֥ה רֹאשׁ֛וֹ מֻשְׁלָ֥ךְ אֵלֶ֖יךָ בְּעַ֥ד הַחוֹמָֽה׃
  
  22 וַתָּבוֹא֩ הָאִשָּׁ֨ה אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֜ם בְּחָכְמָתָ֗הּ וַֽיִּכְרְת֞וּ אֶת־רֹ֨אשׁ שֶׁ֤בַע בֶּן־בִּכְרִי֙ וַיַּשְׁלִ֣כוּ אֶל־יוֹאָ֔ב וַיִּתְקַע֙ בַּשּׁוֹפָ֔ר וַיָּפֻ֥צוּ מֵֽעַל־הָעִ֖יר אִ֣ישׁ לְאֹהָלָ֑יו וְיוֹאָ֛ב שָׁ֥ב יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם אֶל־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
  
  23 וְיוֹאָ֕ב אֶ֥ל כָּל־הַצָּבָ֖א יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וּבְנָיָה֙ בֶּן־יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע עַל־*הכרי **הַכְּרֵתִ֖י וְעַל־הַפְּלֵתִֽי׃
  
  24 וַאֲדֹרָ֖ם עַל־הַמַּ֑ס וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט בֶּן־אֲחִיל֖וּד הַמַּזְכִּֽיר׃

  6 אַלּוֹנִים֙ מִבָּ֔שָׁן עָשׂ֖וּ מִשּׁוֹטָ֑יִךְ קַרְשֵׁ֤ךְ עָֽשׂוּ־שֵׁן֙ בַּת־אֲשֻׁרִ֔ים מֵאִיֵּ֖י *כתים **כִּתִּיִּֽים׃
  
  7 שֵׁשׁ־בְּרִקְמָ֤ה מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ הָיָ֣ה מִפְרָשֵׂ֔ךְ לִהְי֥וֹת לָ֖ךְ לְנֵ֑ס תְּכֵ֧לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן מֵאִיֵּ֥י אֱלִישָׁ֖ה הָיָ֥ה מְכַסֵּֽךְ׃
  
  8 יֹשְׁבֵ֤י צִידוֹן֙ וְאַרְוַ֔ד הָי֥וּ שָׁטִ֖ים לָ֑ךְ חֲכָמַ֤יִךְ צוֹר֙ הָ֣יוּ בָ֔ךְ הֵ֖מָּה חֹבְלָֽיִךְ׃

  11 בְּנֵ֧י אַרְוַ֣ד וְחֵילֵ֗ךְ עַל־חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ סָבִ֔יב וְגַ֨מָּדִ֔ים בְּמִגְדְּלוֹתַ֖יִךְ הָי֑וּ שִׁלְטֵיהֶ֞ם תִּלּ֤וּ עַל־חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ סָבִ֔יב הֵ֖מָּה כָּלְל֥וּ יָפְיֵֽךְ׃
  
  12 תַּרְשִׁ֥ישׁ סֹחַרְתֵּ֖ךְ מֵרֹ֣ב כָּל־ה֑וֹן בְּכֶ֤סֶף בַּרְזֶל֙ בְּדִ֣יל וְעוֹפֶ֔רֶת נָתְנ֖וּ עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
  
  13 יָוָ֤ן תֻּבַל֙ וָמֶ֔שֶׁךְ הֵ֖מָּה רֹֽכְלָ֑יִךְ בְּנֶ֤פֶשׁ אָדָם֙ וּכְלֵ֣י נְחֹ֔שֶׁת נָתְנ֖וּ מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃
  
  14 מִבֵּ֖ית תּוֹגַרְמָ֑ה סוּסִ֤ים וּפָֽרָשִׁים֙ וּפְרָדִ֔ים נָתְנ֖וּ עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃
  
  15 בְּנֵ֤י דְדָן֙ רֹֽכְלַ֔יִךְ אִיִּ֥ים רַבִּ֖ים סְחֹרַ֣ת יָדֵ֑ךְ קַרְנ֥וֹת שֵׁן֙ *והובנים **וְהָבְנִ֔ים הֵשִׁ֖יבוּ אֶשְׁכָּרֵֽךְ׃

  23 חָרָ֤ן וְכַנֵּה֙ וָעֶ֔דֶן רֹכְלֵ֖י שְׁבָ֑א אַשּׁ֖וּר כִּלְמַ֥ד רֹכַלְתֵּֽךְ׃
  
  24 הֵ֤מָּה רֹכְלַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּמַכְלֻלִ֔ים בִּגְלוֹמֵי֙ תְּכֵ֣לֶת וְרִקְמָ֔ה וּבְגִנְזֵ֖י בְּרֹמִ֑ים בַּחֲבָלִ֧ים חֲבֻשִׁ֛ים וַאֲרֻזִ֖ים בְּמַרְכֻלְתֵּֽךְ׃

  30 וְהִשְׁמִ֤יעוּ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ בְּקוֹלָ֔ם וְיִזְעֲק֖וּ מָרָ֑ה וְיַעֲל֤וּ עָֽפָר֙ עַל־רָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔ם בָּאֵ֖פֶר יִתְפַּלָּֽשׁוּ׃
  
  31 וְהִקְרִ֤יחוּ אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ קָרְחָ֔ה וְחָגְר֖וּ שַׂקִּ֑ים וּבָכ֥וּ אֵלַ֛יִךְ בְּמַר־נֶ֖פֶשׁ מִסְפֵּ֥ד מָֽר׃
  
  32 וְנָשְׂא֨וּ אֵלַ֤יִךְ בְּנִיהֶם֙ קִינָ֔ה וְקוֹנְנ֖וּ עָלָ֑יִךְ מִ֣י כְצ֔וֹר כְּדֻמָ֖ה בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּֽם׃

  2 προείρηκα καὶ προλέγω ὡς παρὼν τὸ δεύτερον καὶ ἀπὼν νῦν, τοῖς προημαρτηκόσιν καὶ τοῖς λοιποῖς πᾶσιν, ὅτι ἐὰν ἔλθω εἰς τὸ πάλιν οὐ φείσομαι,
  
  3 ἐπεὶ δοκιμὴν ζητεῖτε τοῦ ἐν ἐμοὶ λαλοῦντος Χριστοῦ· ὃς εἰς ὑμᾶς οὐκ ἀσθενεῖ ἀλλὰ δυνατεῖ ἐν ὑμῖν,
  
  4 καὶ γὰρ ἐσταυρώθη ἐξ ἀσθενείας, ἀλλὰ ζῇ ἐκ δυνάμεως θεοῦ. καὶ γὰρ ἡμεῖς ἀσθενοῦμεν ἐν αὐτῷ, ἀλλὰ ζήσομεν σὺν αὐτῷ ἐκ δυνάμεως θεοῦ εἰς ὑμᾶς.
  
  5 Ἑαυτοὺς πειράζετε εἰ ἐστὲ ἐν τῇ πίστει, ἑαυτοὺς δοκιμάζετε· ἢ οὐκ ἐπιγινώσκετε ἑαυτοὺς ὅτι Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς ἐν ὑμῖν; εἰ μήτι ἀδόκιμοί ἐστε.
  
  6 ἐλπίζω δὲ ὅτι γνώσεσθε ὅτι ἡμεῖς οὐκ ἐσμὲν ἀδόκιμοι.
  
  7 εὐχόμεθα δὲ πρὸς τὸν θεὸν μὴ ποιῆσαι ὑμᾶς κακὸν μηδέν, οὐχ ἵνα ἡμεῖς δόκιμοι φανῶμεν, ἀλλ’ ἵνα ὑμεῖς τὸ καλὸν ποιῆτε, ἡμεῖς δὲ ὡς ἀδόκιμοι ὦμεν.
  
  8 οὐ γὰρ δυνάμεθά τι κατὰ τῆς ἀληθείας, ἀλλὰ ὑπὲρ τῆς ἀληθείας.
  
  9 χαίρομεν γὰρ ὅταν ἡμεῖς ἀσθενῶμεν, ὑμεῖς δὲ δυνατοὶ ἦτε· τοῦτο καὶ εὐχόμεθα, τὴν ὑμῶν κατάρτισιν.
  
  10 διὰ τοῦτο ταῦτα ἀπὼν γράφω, ἵνα παρὼν μὴ ἀποτόμως χρήσωμαι κατὰ τὴν ἐξουσίαν ἣν ὁ κύριος ἔδωκέν μοι, εἰς οἰκοδομὴν καὶ οὐκ εἰς καθαίρεσιν.
  
  11 Λοιπόν, ἀδελφοί, χαίρετε, καταρτίζεσθε, παρακαλεῖσθε, τὸ αὐτὸ φρονεῖτε, εἰρηνεύετε, καὶ ὁ θεὸς τῆς ἀγάπης καὶ εἰρήνης ἔσται μεθ’ ὑμῶν.
  
  12 ἀσπάσασθε ἀλλήλους ἐν ἁγίῳ φιλήματι. ἀσπάζονται ὑμᾶς οἱ ἅγιοι πάντες.
  
  13 ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ ἡ ἀγάπη τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἡ κοινωνία τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν.
