- 2 Samuel 23
  
  1 Et ce sont ici les dernières paroles de David. David, le fils d'Isaï, a dit, et l'homme haut placé, l'oint du Dieu de Jacob, et le doux psalmiste d'Israël, a dit :
  
  2 L'Esprit de l'Éternel a parlé en moi, et sa parole a été sur ma langue.
  
  3 Le Dieu d'Israël a dit, le Rocher d'Israël m'a parlé : Celui qui domine parmi les hommes sera juste, dominant en la crainte de Dieu,
  
  4 et il sera comme la lumière du matin, quand le soleil se lève, un matin sans nuages : par sa clarté l'herbe tendre germe de la terre après la pluie.
  
  5 Quoique ma maison ne soit pas ainsi avec Dieu, cependant il a établi avec moi une alliance éternelle, à tous égards bien ordonnée et assurée, car c'est là tout mon salut et tout mon plaisir, quoiqu'il ne la fasse pas germer.
  
  6 Mais les fils de Bélial sont tous comme des épines qu'on jette loin, car on ne les prend pas avec la main,
  
  7 Et l'homme qui les touche se munit d'un fer ou d'un bois de lance ; et ils seront entièrement brûlés par le feu sur le lieu même.
  
  8 Ce sont ici les noms des hommes forts qu'avait David : Josheb-Bashébeth, Thacmonite, chef des principaux capitaines ; c'était Adino, l'Etsnite, qui eut le dessus sur huit cents hommes, qu'il tua en une fois.
  
  9 Et après lui, Éléazar, fils de Dodo, fils d'un Akhokhite ; il était l'un des trois hommes forts qui étaient avec David, lorsqu'ils avaient défié les Philistins qui s'étaient assemblés là pour combattre, et que les hommes d'Israël étaient montés.
  
  10 Il se leva, et frappa les Philistins, jusqu'à ce que sa main fut lasse et que sa main demeura attachée à l'épée ; et l'Éternel opéra une grande délivrance ce jour-là ; et le peuple revint après Éléazar, seulement pour piller.
  
  11 Et après lui, Shamma, fils d'Agué, Hararite : les Philistins s'étaient assemblés en troupe ; et il y avait là une portion de champ pleine de lentilles, et le peuple avait fui devant les Philistins ;
  
  12 et il se plaça au milieu du champ, et le sauva, et frappa les Philistins ; et l'Éternel opéra une grande délivrance.
  
  13 Et trois des trente chefs descendirent et vinrent au temps de la moisson vers David, dans la caverne d'Adullam, comme une troupe de Philistins était campée dans la vallée des Rephaïm.
  
  14 Et David était alors dans le lieu fort, et il y avait alors un poste des Philistins à Bethléhem.
  
  15 Et David convoita, et dit : Qui me fera boire de l'eau du puits de Bethléhem, qui est près de la porte ?
  
  16 Et les trois hommes forts forcèrent le passage à travers le camp des Philistins et puisèrent de l'eau du puits de Bethléhem, qui est près de la porte, et la prirent et l'apportèrent à David ; et il ne voulut pas la boire, mais il en fit une libation à l'Éternel.
  
  17 Et il dit : Loin de moi, Éternel, que je fasse cela ! N'est-ce pas le sang des hommes qui sont allés au péril de leur vie ? Et il ne voulut pas la boire. Ces trois hommes forts firent cela.
  
  18 Et Abishaï, frère de Joab, fils de Tseruïa, était chef de trois ; il leva sa lance contre trois cents hommes, qu'il tua. Et il eut un nom parmi les trois.
  
  19 Ne fut-il pas le plus honoré des trois ? Et il fut leur chef ; mais il n'atteignit pas les trois premiers.
  
  20 Et Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, fils d'un homme vaillant, de Kabtseël, grand en exploits, lui, frappa deux lions de Moab ; et il descendit, et frappa le lion dans une fosse, par un jour de neige.
  
  21 Et c'est lui qui frappa un homme égyptien qui était de grande apparence, et l'Egyptien avait en sa main une lance ; et il descendit vers lui avec un bâton, et arracha la lance de la main de l'Egyptien, et le tua avec sa propre lance.
  
  22 Voila ce que fit Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada ; et il eut un nom parmi les trois hommes forts :
  
  23 il fut plus honoré que les trente mais il n'atteignit pas les trois premiers. Et David lui donna une place dans ses audiences privées.
  
  24 Asçaël, frère de Joab, était des trente ; Elkhanan, fils de Dodo, de Bethléhem ;
  
  25 Shamma, le Harodite ; Élika, le Harodite ;
  
  26 Hélets, le Paltite ; Ira, fils d'Ikkesh, le Thekohite ;
  
  27 Abiézer, l'Anathothite ; Mebunnaï, le Hushathite ;
  
  28 Tsalmon, l'Akhokhite ; Maharaï, le Netophathite ;
  
  29 Héleb, fils de Baana, le Netophathite ; Itthaï, fils de Ribaï, de Guibha des fils de Benjamin ;
  
  30 Benaïa, le Pirhathonite ; Hiddaï, des torrents de Gaash ;
  
  31 Abi-Albon, l'Arbathite ; Azmaveth, le Barkhumite ;

  Ezéchiel 30
  
  1 Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
  
  2 Fils d'homme, prophétise, et dis : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Hurlez : Ah ! quel jour !
  
  3 Car le jour est proche ; oui, le jour de l'Éternel est proche, un jour de nuées : c'est le temps des nations.
  
  4 Et l'épée viendra sur l'Égypte, et il y aura de l'angoisse dans l'Éthiopie, quand ils tomberont blessés à mort en Égypte, et qu'on ôtera sa multitude, et que ses fondements seront détruits.
  
  5 Cush, et Puth, et Lud, et tout le peuple mélangé, et Cub, et les fils du pays de l'alliance, tomberont par l'épée avec eux.
  
  6 Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Les appuis de l'Égypte tomberont, et l'orgueil de sa force sera abaissé ; ils tomberont au milieu d'elle par l'épée, depuis Migdol à Syène, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
  
  7 Et ils seront désolés au milieu des pays désolés, et ses villes seront entre les villes dévastées.
  
  8 Et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel, quand j'aurai mis le feu en Égypte, et que tous ceux qui lui aident seront brisés.
  
  9 En ce jour-là des messagers sortiront de devant moi sur des navires pour effrayer l'Éthiopie dans sa sécurité ; et il y aura au milieu d'eux de l'angoisse comme au jour de l'Égypte ; car voici, il vient.
  
  10 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Je mettrai fin aussi à la multitude de l'Égypte par la main de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone.
  
  11 Lui et son peuple avec lui, les terribles d'entre les nations, seront amenés pour détruire le pays ; et ils tireront leurs épées contre l'Égypte, et rempliront le pays de blessés à mort.
  
  12 Et je mettrai les fleuves à sec, et je vendrai le pays en la main des méchants, et, par la main des étrangers, je désolerai le pays et tout ce qu'il contient. Moi, l'Éternel, j'ai parlé.
  
  13 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Je détruirai aussi les idoles, et je mettrai fin aux images de Noph ; et il n'y aura plus de prince du pays d'Égypte ; et je mettrai la frayeur dans le pays d'Égypte ;
  
  14 et je désolerai Pathros, et je mettrai le feu dans Tsoan, et j'exécuterai des jugements dans No ;
  
  15 et je verserai ma fureur sur Sin, la forteresse de l'Égypte, et je retrancherai la multitude de No ;
  
  16 et je mettrai le feu en Égypte ; Sin sera dans une grande angoisse, et No sera ouverte par des brèches, et il y aura à Noph des ennemis en plein jour.
  
  17 Les jeunes hommes d'Aven et de Pi-Béseth tomberont par l'épée, et elles-mêmes iront en captivité.
  
  18 Et à Takhpanès le jour sera obscurci lorsque j'y romprai le joug de l'Égypte, et que l'orgueil de sa force y aura cessé ; une nuée la couvrira elle-même, et ses filles iront en captivité.
  
  19 Et j'exécuterai des jugements en Égypte ; et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel.
  
  20 Et il arriva, la onzième année, au premier mois, le septième jour du mois, que la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
  
  21 Fils d'homme, j'ai cassé le bras du Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et voici, il n'a point été bandé pour y appliquer des remèdes, pour y mettre des ligatures pour le bander, afin de le fortifier pour qu'il tienne l'épée.
  
  22 C'est pourquoi, ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Voici, j'en veux au Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et je lui casserai les bras, celui qui est fort et celui qui est cassé, et je ferai tomber l'épée de sa main.
  
  23 Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations et je les disséminerai dans les pays.
  
  24 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et je mettrai mon épée dans sa main ; et je casserai les bras du Pharaon, et il gémira devant lui des gémissements d'un blessé à mort.
  
  25 Et je fortifierai les bras du roi de Babylone, et les bras du Pharaon tomberont. Et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel, quand j'aurai mis mon épée dans la main du roi de Babylone, et qu'il l'aura étendue sur le pays d'Égypte.
  
  26 Et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations, et je les disséminerai dans le pays ; et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel.
  
  Galates 3
  
  1 O Galates insensés, qui vous a ensorcelés, vous devant les yeux de qui Jésus Christ a été dépeint, crucifié au milieu de vous ?
  
  2 Je voudrais seulement apprendre ceci de vous : avez-vous reçu l'Esprit sur le principe des oeuvres de loi, ou de l'ouïe de la foi ?
  
  3 Etes-vous si insensés ? Ayant commencé par l'Esprit, achèveriez-vous maintenant par la chair ?
  
  4 Avez-vous tant souffert en vain, si toutefois c'est en vain ?
  
  5 Celui donc qui vous fournit l'Esprit et qui opère des miracles au milieu de vous, le fait-il sur le principe des oeuvres de loi, ou de l'ouïe de la foi ?
  
  6 comme Abraham a cru Dieu, et cela lui fut compté à justice.
  
  7 Sachez donc que ceux qui sont sur le principe de la foi, ceux-là sont fils d'Abraham.
  
  8 Or l'écriture, prévoyant que Dieu justifierait les nations sur le principe de la foi, a d'avance annoncé la bonne nouvelle à Abraham : "En toi toutes les nations seront bénies".
  
  9 De sorte que ceux qui sont sur le principe de la foi sont bénis avec le croyant Abraham.
  
  10 Car tous ceux qui sont sur le principe des oeuvres de loi sont sous malédiction ; car il est écrit : "Maudit est quiconque ne persévère pas dans toutes les choses qui sont écrites dans le livre de la loi pour les faire".
  
  11 Or que par la loi personne ne soit justifié devant Dieu, cela est évident, parce que : "Le juste vivra de foi".
  
  12 Mais la loi n'est pas sur le principe de la foi, mais : "Celui qui aura fait ces choses vivra par elles".
  
  13 Christ nous a rachetés de la malédiction de la loi, étant devenu malédiction pour nous (car il est écrit : "Maudit est quiconque est pendu au bois"),
  
  14 afin que la bénédiction d'Abraham parvînt aux nations dans le Christ Jésus, afin que nous reçussions par la foi l'Esprit promis.
  
  15 Frères, je parle selon l'homme : personne n'annule une alliance qui est confirmée, même celle d'un homme, ni n'y ajoute.
  
  16 Or c'est à Abraham que les promesses ont été faites, et à sa semence. Il ne dit pas : "et aux semences", comme parlant de plusieurs ; mais comme parlant d'un seul : - "et à ta semence", qui est Christ.
  
  17 Or je dis ceci : que la loi, qui est survenue quatre cent trente ans après, n'annule point une alliance antérieurement confirmée par Dieu, de manière à rendre la promesse sans effet.
  
  18 Car si l'héritage est sur le principe de loi, il n'est plus sur le principe de promesse ; mais Dieu a fait le don à Abraham par promesse.
  
  19 Pourquoi donc la loi ? Elle a été ajoutée à cause des transgressions, jusqu'à ce que vînt la semence à laquelle la promesse est faite, ayant été ordonnée par des anges, par la main d'un médiateur.
  
  20 Or un médiateur n'est pas médiateur d'un seul, mais Dieu est un seul.
  
  21 La loi est-elle donc contre les promesses de Dieu ? Qu'ainsi n'advienne ! Car s'il avait été donné une loi qui eût le pouvoir de faire vivre, la justice serait en réalité sur le principe de la loi.
  
  22 Mais l'écriture a renfermé toutes choses sous le péché, afin que la promesse, sur le principe de la foi en Jésus Christ, fût donnée à ceux qui croient.
  
  23 Or avant que la foi vînt, nous étions gardés sous la loi, renfermés pour la foi qui devait être révélée ;
  
  24 de sorte que la loi a été notre conducteur jusqu'à Christ, afin que nous fussions justifiés sur le principe de la foi ;
  
  25 mais, la foi étant venue, nous ne sommes plus sous un conducteur,
  
  26 car vous êtes tous fils de Dieu par la foi dans le Christ Jésus.
  
  27 Car vous tous qui avez été baptisés pour Christ, vous avez revêtu Christ :
  
  28 il n'y a ni Juif, ni Grec ; il n'y a ni esclave, ni homme libre ; il n'y a ni mâle, ni femelle : car vous tous, vous êtes un dans le Christ Jésus.
  
  29 Or si vous êtes de Christ, vous êtes donc la semence d'Abraham, héritiers selon la promesse.
- 2 Samuel 23
  
  1 Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse says, the man who was raised on high says, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:
  
  2 "The Spirit of Yahweh spoke by me. His word was on my tongue.
  
  3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, 'One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God,
  
  4 shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain.'
  
  5 Most certainly my house is not so with God, yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he doesn't make it grow.
  
  6 But all of the ungodly shall be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can't be taken with the hand,
  
  7 But the man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They shall be utterly burned with fire in their place."
  
  8 These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb Basshebeth a Tahchemonite, chief of the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite, against eight hundred slain at one time.
  
  9 After him was Eleazar the son of Dodai the son of an Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines who were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away.
  
  10 He arose, and struck the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand froze to the sword; and Yahweh worked a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to take spoil.
  
  11 After him was Shammah the son of Agee a Hararite. The Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where there was a plot of ground full of lentils; and the people fled from the Philistines.
  
  12 But he stood in the midst of the plot, and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Yahweh worked a great victory.
  
  13 Three of the thirty chief men went down, and came to David in the harvest time to the cave of Adullam; and the troop of the Philistines was encamped in the valley of Rephaim.
  
  14 David was then in the stronghold; and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
  
  15 David longed, and said, "Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!"
  
  16 The three mighty men broke through the army of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: but he would not drink of it, but poured it out to Yahweh.
  
  17 He said, "Be it far from me, Yahweh, that I should do this! Isn't it the blood of the men who went in jeopardy of their lives?" Therefore he would not drink it. The three mighty men did these things.
  
  18 Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief of the three. He lifted up his spear against three hundred and killed them, and had a name among the three.
  
  19 Wasn't he most honorable of the three? therefore he was made their captain: however he didn't attain to the three.
  
  20 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done mighty deeds, he killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab: he went down also and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow.
  
  21 He killed an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and killed him with his own spear.
  
  22 Benaiah the son of Jehoiada did these things, and had a name among the three mighty men.
  
  23 He was more honorable than the thirty, but he didn't attain to the three. David set him over his guard.
  
  24 Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
  
  25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,
  
  26 Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,
  
  27 Abiezer the Anathothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,
  
  28 Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

  37 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armor bearers to Joab the son of Zeruiah,
  
  38 Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,
  
  39 Uriah the Hittite: thirty-seven in all.
  
  Ezéchiel 30
  
  1 The word of Yahweh came again to me, saying,
  
  2 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Wail, Alas for the day!
  
  3 For the day is near, even the day of Yahweh is near; it shall be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.
  
  4 A sword shall come on Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt; and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
  
  5 Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all the mixed people, and Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, shall fall with them by the sword.
  
  6 Thus says Yahweh: They also who uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Seveneh shall they fall in it by the sword, says the Lord Yahweh.
  
  7 They shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.
  
  8 They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.
  
  9 In that day shall messengers go forth from before me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid; and there shall be anguish on them, as in the day of Egypt; for, behold, it comes.
  
  10 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
  
  11 He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
  
  12 I will make the rivers dry, and will sell the land into the hand of evil men; and I will make the land desolate, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I, Yahweh, have spoken it.
  
  13 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause the images to cease from Memphis; and there shall be no more a prince from the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
  
  14 I will make Pathros desolate, and will set a fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments on No.
  
  15 I will pour my wrath on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
  
  16 I will set a fire in Egypt: Sin shall be in great anguish, and No shall be broken up; and Memphis [shall have] adversaries in the daytime.
  
  17 The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and these [cities] shall go into captivity.
  
  18 At Tehaphnehes also the day shall withdraw itself, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt, and the pride of her power shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
  
  19 Thus will I execute judgments on Egypt; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
  
  20 It happened in the eleventh year, in the first [month], in the seventh [day] of the month, that the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
  
  21 Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and behold, it has not been bound up, to apply [healing] medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it be strong to hold the sword.
  
  22 Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong [arm], and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
  
  23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
  
  24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
  
  25 I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon; and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out on the land of Egypt.
  
  26 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them through the countries; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
  
  Galates 3
  
  1 Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?
  
  2 I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
  
  3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
  
  4 Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
  
  5 He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
  
  6 Even as Abraham "believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness."
  
  7 Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham.
  
  8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you all the nations will be blessed."
  
  9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
  
  10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."
  
  11 Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, "The righteous will live by faith."
  
  12 The law is not of faith, but, "The man who does them will live by them."
  
  13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"
  
  14 that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
  
  15 Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man's covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void, or adds to it.
  
  16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn't say, "To seeds," as of many, but as of one, "To your seed," which is Christ.
  
  17 Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
  
  18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
  
  19 What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
  
  20 Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
  
  21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
  
  22 But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
  
  23 But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
  
  24 So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
  
  25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
  
  26 For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
  
  27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
  
  28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
  
  29 If you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to promise.

  5 כִּֽי־לֹא־כֵ֥ן בֵּיתִ֖י עִם־אֵ֑ל כִּי֩ בְרִ֨ית עוֹלָ֜ם שָׂ֣ם לִ֗י עֲרוּכָ֤ה בַכֹּל֙ וּשְׁמֻרָ֔ה כִּֽי־כָל־יִשְׁעִ֥י וְכָל־חֵ֖פֶץ כִּֽי־לֹ֥א יַצְמִֽיחַ׃
  
  6 וּבְלִיַּ֕עַל כְּק֥וֹץ מֻנָ֖ד כֻּלָּ֑הַם כִּֽי־לֹ֥א בְיָ֖ד יִקָּֽחוּ׃
  
  7 וְאִישׁ֙ יִגַּ֣ע בָּהֶ֔ם יִמָּלֵ֥א בַרְזֶ֖ל וְעֵ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית וּבָאֵ֕שׁ שָׂר֥וֹף יִשָּׂרְפ֖וּ בַּשָּֽׁבֶת׃
  
  8 אֵ֛לֶּה שְׁמ֥וֹת הַגִּבֹּרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְדָוִ֑ד יֹשֵׁ֨ב בַּשֶּׁ֜בֶת תַּחְכְּמֹנִ֣י ׀ רֹ֣אשׁ הַשָּׁלִשִׁ֗י ה֚וּא עֲדִינ֣וֹ *העצנו **הָֽעֶצְנִ֔י עַל־שְׁמֹנֶ֥ה מֵא֛וֹת חָלָ֖ל בְּפַ֥עַם *אחד **אֶחָֽת׃
  
  9 *ואחרו **וְאַחֲרָ֛יו אֶלְעָזָ֥ר בֶּן־*דדי **דֹּד֖וֹ בֶּן־אֲחֹחִ֑י בִּשְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה *גברים **הַגִּבֹּרִ֜ים עִם־דָּוִ֗ד בְּחָֽרְפָ֤ם בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּים נֶאֶסְפוּ־שָׁ֣ם לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  10 ה֣וּא קָם֩ וַיַּ֨ךְ בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֜ים עַ֣ד ׀ כִּֽי־יָגְעָ֣ה יָד֗וֹ וַתִּדְבַּ֤ק יָדוֹ֙ אֶל־הַחֶ֔רֶב וַיַּ֧עַשׂ יְהוָ֛ה תְּשׁוּעָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא וְהָעָ֛ם יָשֻׁ֥בוּ אַחֲרָ֖יו אַךְ־לְפַשֵּֽׁט׃
  
  11 וְאַחֲרָ֛יו שַׁמָּ֥א בֶן־אָגֵ֖א הָרָרִ֑י וַיֵּאָסְפ֨וּ פְלִשְׁתִּ֜ים לַחַיָּ֗ה וַתְּהִי־שָׁ֞ם חֶלְקַ֤ת הַשָּׂדֶה֙ מְלֵאָ֣ה עֲדָשִׁ֔ים וְהָעָ֥ם נָ֖ס מִפְּנֵ֥י פְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃
  
  12 וַיִּתְיַצֵּ֤ב בְּתוֹךְ־הַֽחֶלְקָה֙ וַיַּצִּילֶ֔הָ וַיַּ֖ךְ אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים וַיַּ֥עַשׂ יְהוָ֖ה תְּשׁוּעָ֥ה גְדוֹלָֽה׃
  
  13 וַיֵּרְד֨וּ *שלשים **שְׁלֹשָׁ֜ה מֵהַשְּׁלֹשִׁ֣ים רֹ֗אשׁ וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ אֶל־קָצִיר֙ אֶל־דָּוִ֔ד אֶל־מְעָרַ֖ת עֲדֻלָּ֑ם וְחַיַּ֣ת פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים חֹנָ֖ה בְּעֵ֥מֶק רְפָאִֽים׃

  15 וַיִּתְאַוֶּ֥ה דָוִ֖ד וַיֹּאמַ֑ר מִ֚י יַשְׁקֵ֣נִי מַ֔יִם מִבֹּ֥אר בֵּֽית־לֶ֖חֶם אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃

  20 וּבְנָיָ֨הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֧ע בֶּן־אִֽישׁ־*חי **חַ֛יִל רַב־פְּעָלִ֖ים מִֽקַּבְצְאֵ֑ל ה֣וּא הִכָּ֗ה אֵ֣ת שְׁנֵ֤י אֲרִאֵל֙ מוֹאָ֔ב וְ֠הוּא יָרַ֞ד וְהִכָּ֧ה אֶֽת־*האריה **הָאֲרִ֛י בְּת֥וֹךְ הַבֹּ֖אר בְּי֥וֹם הַשָּֽׁלֶג׃

  2 τοῦτο μόνον θέλω μαθεῖν ἀφ’ ὑμῶν, ἐξ ἔργων νόμου τὸ πνεῦμα ἐλάβετε ἢ ἐξ ἀκοῆς πίστεως;
  
  3 οὕτως ἀνόητοί ἐστε; ἐναρξάμενοι πνεύματι νῦν σαρκὶ ἐπιτελεῖσθε;
  
  4 τοσαῦτα ἐπάθετε εἰκῇ; εἴ γε καὶ εἰκῇ.
  
  5 ὁ οὖν ἐπιχορηγῶν ὑμῖν τὸ πνεῦμα καὶ ἐνεργῶν δυνάμεις ἐν ὑμῖν ἐξ ἔργων νόμου ἢ ἐξ ἀκοῆς πίστεως;
  
  6 καθὼς Ἀβραὰμ ἐπίστευσεν τῷ θεῷ, καὶ ἐλογίσθη αὐτῷ εἰς δικαιοσύνην.
  
  7 Γινώσκετε ἄρα ὅτι οἱ ἐκ πίστεως, οὗτοι υἱοί εἰσιν Ἀβραάμ.
  
  8 προϊδοῦσα δὲ ἡ γραφὴ ὅτι ἐκ πίστεως δικαιοῖ τὰ ἔθνη ὁ θεὸς προευηγγελίσατο τῷ Ἀβραὰμ ὅτι Ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν σοὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη.
  
  9 ὥστε οἱ ἐκ πίστεως εὐλογοῦνται σὺν τῷ πιστῷ Ἀβραάμ.
  
  10 Ὅσοι γὰρ ἐξ ἔργων νόμου εἰσὶν ὑπὸ κατάραν εἰσίν, γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ὃς οὐκ ἐμμένει πᾶσιν τοῖς γεγραμμένοις ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τοῦ νόμου τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτά.
  
  11 ὅτι δὲ ἐν νόμῳ οὐδεὶς δικαιοῦται παρὰ τῷ θεῷ δῆλον, ὅτι Ὁ δίκαιος ἐκ πίστεως ζήσεται,
  
  12 ὁ δὲ νόμος οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ πίστεως, ἀλλ’· Ὁ ποιήσας αὐτὰ ζήσεται ἐν αὐτοῖς.
  
  13 Χριστὸς ἡμᾶς ἐξηγόρασεν ἐκ τῆς κατάρας τοῦ νόμου γενόμενος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν κατάρα, ὅτι γέγραπται· Ἐπικατάρατος πᾶς ὁ κρεμάμενος ἐπὶ ξύλου,
  
  14 ἵνα εἰς τὰ ἔθνη ἡ εὐλογία τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ γένηται ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ, ἵνα τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν τοῦ πνεύματος λάβωμεν διὰ τῆς πίστεως.
  
  15 Ἀδελφοί, κατὰ ἄνθρωπον λέγω· ὅμως ἀνθρώπου κεκυρωμένην διαθήκην οὐδεὶς ἀθετεῖ ἢ ἐπιδιατάσσεται.
  
  16 τῷ δὲ Ἀβραὰμ ἐρρέθησαν αἱ ἐπαγγελίαι καὶ τῷ σπέρματι αὐτοῦ· οὐ λέγει· Καὶ τοῖς σπέρμασιν, ὡς ἐπὶ πολλῶν, ἀλλ’ ὡς ἐφ’ ἑνός· Καὶ τῷ σπέρματί σου, ὅς ἐστιν Χριστός.
  
  17 τοῦτο δὲ λέγω· διαθήκην προκεκυρωμένην ὑπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ ὁ μετὰ τετρακόσια καὶ τριάκοντα ἔτη γεγονὼς νόμος οὐκ ἀκυροῖ, εἰς τὸ καταργῆσαι τὴν ἐπαγγελίαν.
  
  18 εἰ γὰρ ἐκ νόμου ἡ κληρονομία, οὐκέτι ἐξ ἐπαγγελίας· τῷ δὲ Ἀβραὰμ δι’ ἐπαγγελίας κεχάρισται ὁ θεός.
  
  19 Τί οὖν ὁ νόμος; τῶν παραβάσεων χάριν προσετέθη, ἄχρις οὗ ἔλθῃ τὸ σπέρμα ᾧ ἐπήγγελται, διαταγεὶς δι’ ἀγγέλων ἐν χειρὶ μεσίτου·
  
  20 ὁ δὲ μεσίτης ἑνὸς οὐκ ἔστιν, ὁ δὲ θεὸς εἷς ἐστιν.
  
  21 Ὁ οὖν νόμος κατὰ τῶν ἐπαγγελιῶν τοῦ θεοῦ; μὴ γένοιτο· εἰ γὰρ ἐδόθη νόμος ὁ δυνάμενος ζῳοποιῆσαι, ὄντως ἐκ νόμου ἂν ἦν ἡ δικαιοσύνη.
  
  22 ἀλλὰ συνέκλεισεν ἡ γραφὴ τὰ πάντα ὑπὸ ἁμαρτίαν ἵνα ἡ ἐπαγγελία ἐκ πίστεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοθῇ τοῖς πιστεύουσιν.
  
  23 Πρὸ τοῦ δὲ ἐλθεῖν τὴν πίστιν ὑπὸ νόμον ἐφρουρούμεθα συγκλειόμενοι εἰς τὴν μέλλουσαν πίστιν ἀποκαλυφθῆναι.
  
  24 ὥστε ὁ νόμος παιδαγωγὸς ἡμῶν γέγονεν εἰς Χριστόν, ἵνα ἐκ πίστεως δικαιωθῶμεν·
  
  25 ἐλθούσης δὲ τῆς πίστεως οὐκέτι ὑπὸ παιδαγωγόν ἐσμεν.
  
  26 πάντες γὰρ υἱοὶ θεοῦ ἐστε διὰ τῆς πίστεως ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.
  
  27 ὅσοι γὰρ εἰς Χριστὸν ἐβαπτίσθητε, Χριστὸν ἐνεδύσασθε·
  
  28 οὐκ ἔνι Ἰουδαῖος οὐδὲ Ἕλλην, οὐκ ἔνι δοῦλος οὐδὲ ἐλεύθερος, οὐκ ἔνι ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ· πάντες γὰρ ὑμεῖς εἷς ἐστε ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.
  
  29 εἰ δὲ ὑμεῖς Χριστοῦ, ἄρα τοῦ Ἀβραὰμ σπέρμα ἐστέ, κατ’ ἐπαγγελίαν κληρονόμοι.
