- 1 Rois 2
  
  1 Et les jours de David s'approchèrent de la mort ; et il commanda à Salomon, son fils, disant :
  
  2 Je m'en vais le chemin de toute la terre ; fortifie-toi, et sois un homme ;
  
  3 et prends garde à ce qui doit être observé devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu, en marchant dans ses voies, en gardant ses statuts, et ses commandements, et ses ordonnances, et ses témoignages, comme il est écrit dans la loi de Moïse, afin que tu réussisses dans tout ce que tu fais et où que tu te tournes ;
  
  4 afin que l'Éternel accomplisse sa parole, qu'il a prononcée à mon sujet, disant : Si tes fils prennent garde à leur voie, pour marcher devant moi en vérité, de tout leur coeur et de toute leur âme, tu ne manqueras pas d'un homme sur le trône d'Israël.
  
  5 Et toi, tu sais aussi ce que m'a fait Joab, fils de Tseruïa, ce qu'il a fait aux deux chefs des armées d'Israël, à Abner, fils de Ner, et à Amasa, fils de Jéther, en les tuant et en versant le sang de la guerre en temps de paix, et comment il a mis le sang de la guerre sur la ceinture qui était sur ses reins, et sur les sandales qui étaient à ses pieds.
  
  6 Et fais selon ta sagesse, et ne laisse pas ses cheveux blancs descendre dans le shéol en paix.
  
  7 Mais tu useras de bonté envers les fils de Barzillaï, le Galaadite, et ils seront de ceux qui mangent à ta table, car ils sont venus ainsi à ma rencontre, quand je m'enfuyais devant Absalom, ton frère.
  
  8 Et voici, il y a avec toi Shimhi, fils de Guéra, le Benjaminite, de Bakhurim : celui-là m'a maudit d'une malédiction violente, au jour que je m'en allais à Mahanaïm. Mais il descendit à ma rencontre au Jourdain, et je lui jurai par l'Éternel, disant : Si je te fais mourir par l'épée !
  
  9 Et maintenant, ne le tiens pas pour innocent, car tu es un homme sage, et tu sais ce que tu as à lui faire ; mais fais descendre, dans le sang, ses cheveux blancs au shéol.
  
  10 Et David s'endormit avec ses pères ; et il fut enterré dans la ville de David.
  
  11 Et les jours que David régna sur Israël furent quarante ans : à Hébron il régna sept ans, et à Jérusalem il régna trente-trois ans.
  
  12 Et Salomon s'assit sur le trône de David, son père, et son royaume fut très-affermi.
  
  13 Et Adonija, fils de Hagguith, vint vers Bath-Shéba, mère de Salomon ; et elle dit : Est-ce en paix que tu viens ? Et il dit : En paix.
  
  14 Et il dit : J'ai quelque chose à te dire. Et elle dit : Parle.
  
  15 Et il dit : Tu sais que le royaume était à moi, et que tout Israël avait porté ses yeux sur moi pour que je fusse roi ; mais le royaume a tourné, et est passé à mon frère, car il était à lui de par l'Éternel.
  
  16 Et maintenant je te fais une seule requête ; ne me repousse pas.
  
  17 Et elle lui dit : Parle. Et il dit : Parle, je te prie, au roi Salomon, car il ne te repoussera pas, afin qu'il me donne Abishag, la Sunamite, pour femme.
  
  18 Et Bath-Shéba dit : Bien ; je parlerai au roi pour toi.
  
  19 Et Bath-Shéba entra auprès du roi Salomon pour lui parler pour Adonija. Et le roi se leva pour aller à sa rencontre, et il s'inclina devant elle ; et il s'assit sur son trône, et fit mettre un trône pour la mère du roi ; et elle s'assit à sa droite.
  
  20 Et elle dit : J'ai une petite requête à te faire, ne me repousse pas. Et le roi lui dit : Demande, ma mère, car je ne te repousserai pas.
  
  21 Et elle dit : Qu'Abishag, la Sunamite, soit donnée pour femme à Adonija, ton frère.
  
  22 Et le roi Salomon répondit et dit à sa mère : Et pourquoi demandes-tu Abishag, la Sunamite, pour Adonija ? Demande aussi pour lui le royaume, car il est mon frère plus âgé que moi, -et pour lui, et pour Abiathar, le sacrificateur, et pour Joab, fils de Tseruïa.
  
  23 Et le roi Salomon jura par l'Éternel, disant : Que Dieu me fasse ainsi, et ainsi y ajoute, si Adonija n'a pas prononcé cette parole contre sa propre vie.
  
  24 Et maintenant, l'Éternel est vivant, qui m'a affermi et m'a fait asseoir sur le trône de David, mon père, et m'a fait une maison comme il l'avait dit, qu'aujourd'hui Adonija sera mis à mort.
  
  25 Et le roi Salomon envoya par Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, qui se jeta sur lui, et il mourut.
  
  26 Et le roi dit à Abiathar, le sacrificateur : Va dans tes champs, à Anathoth, car tu es digne de mort ; mais, aujourd'hui, je ne te mettrai pas à mort, car tu as porté l'arche du Seigneur Éternel devant David, mon père, et tu as été affligé en tout ce en quoi mon père a été affligé.
  
  27 Et Salomon chassa Abiathar de la sacrificature de l'Éternel, pour accomplir la parole de l'Éternel, qu'il prononça au sujet de la maison d'Éli, en Silo.
  
  28 Et la nouvelle en vint jusqu'à Joab (car Joab s'était détourné après Adonija, mais ne s'était pas détourné après Absalom), et Joab s'enfuit à la tente de l'Éternel, et saisit les cornes de l'autel.
  
  29 Et on rapporta au roi Salomon que Joab s'était enfui à la tente de l'Éternel : et voici, il est à côté de l'autel ! Et Salomon envoya Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, disant : va, jette-toi sur lui.
  
  30 Et Benaïa se rendit à la tente de l'Éternel ; et dit à Joab : Ainsi dit le roi : Sors ! Et il dit : Non, car je mourrai ici. Et Benaïa rapporta la chose au roi, disant : Ainsi a dit Joab, et ainsi il m'a répondu.
  
  31 Et le roi lui dit : Fais comme il a dit, et jette-toi sur lui, et enterre-le ; et ôte de dessus moi et de dessus la maison de mon père le sang que Joab a versé sans cause ;
  
  32 et l'Éternel fera retomber sur sa propre tête le sang qu'il a versé, parce qu'il s'est jeté sur deux hommes plus justes et meilleurs que lui, et les a tués avec l'épée, et mon père David n'en savait rien : Abner, fils de Ner, chef de l'armée d'Israël, et Amasa, fils de Jéther, chef de l'armée de Juda.
  
  33 Et leur sang retombera sur la tête de Joab et sur la tête de sa semence, à toujours ; mais la paix sera de par l'Éternel sur David et sur sa semence, et sur sa maison, et sur son trône, à toujours.
  
  34 Et Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, monta et se jeta sur lui, et le tua ; et il fut enterré dans sa maison, dans le désert.
  
  35 Et le roi mit Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, à sa place sur l'armée ; et le roi mit Tsadok, le sacrificateur, à la place d'Abiathar.
  
  36 Et le roi envoya, et appela Shimhi, et lui dit : Bâtis-toi une maison à Jérusalem, et habite là ; et tu ne sortiras pas de là, où que ce soit ;
  
  37 et il arrivera qu'au jour que tu sortiras et que tu passeras le torrent du Cédron..., sache bien que tu mourras ; ton sang sera sur ta tête.
  
  38 Et Shimhi dit au roi : La parole est bonne ; selon que le roi, mon seigneur, a parlé, ainsi fera ton serviteur. Et Shimhi demeura à Jérusalem bien des jours.
  
  39 Et il arriva, au bout de trois ans, que deux serviteurs de Shimhi s'enfuirent vers Akish, fils de Maaca, roi de Gath. Et on le fit savoir à Shimhi, disant : Voici, tes serviteurs sont à Gath.
  
  40 Et Shimhi se leva et sella son âne, et s'en alla à Gath, vers Akish, pour chercher ses serviteurs. Et Shimhi alla, et ramena de Gath ses serviteurs.
  
  41 Et on rapporta à Salomon que Shimhi était allé de Jérusalem à Gath, et qu'il était de retour.
  
  42 Et le roi envoya, et appela Shimhi, et lui dit : Ne t'ai-je pas fait jurer par l'Éternel, et ne t'ai-je pas protesté, disant : Au jour que tu sortiras et que tu t'en iras où que ce soit, sache bien que tu mourras ? Et tu me dis : La parole que j'ai entendue est bonne.
  
  43 Et pourquoi n'as-tu pas observé le serment de l'Éternel, et le commandement que je t'ai commandé ?
  
  44 Et le roi dit à Shimhi : Tu sais tout le mal que ton coeur a la conscience d'avoir fait à David, mon père ; et l'Éternel fait retomber ton iniquité sur ta tête.
  
  45 Et le roi Salomon sera béni, et le trône de David sera affermi devant l'Éternel à toujours.
  
  46 Et le roi commanda à Benaïa, fils de Jehoïada, et il sortit, et se jeta sur lui ; et il mourut. Et le royaume fut affermi dans la main de Salomon.
  
  Ezéchiel 33
  
  1 Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
  
  2 Fils d'homme, parle aux fils de ton peuple, et dis-leur : Si je fais venir l'épée sur un pays, et que le peuple du pays prenne un homme d'entre eux tous, et se le donne pour sentinelle ;
  
  3 et qu'il voie venir l'épée sur le pays, et sonne de la trompette, et avertisse le peuple ;
  
  4 et que quelqu'un entende bien le son de la trompette, mais ne reçoive pas l'avertissement, et que l'épée vienne et le saisisse, son sang sera sur sa tête.
  
  5 Il a entendu le son de la trompette, et n'a pas reçu l'avertissement : son sang est sur lui ; alors que s'il eût reçu l'avertissement, il aurait délivré son âme.
  
  6 Mais si la sentinelle voit venir l'épée, et ne sonne pas de la trompette, et que le peuple ne soit pas averti, et que l'épée vienne et saisisse quelqu'un d'entre eux, lui est saisi dans son iniquité ; mais je redemanderai son sang de la main de la sentinelle.
  
  7 Et toi, fils d'homme, je t'ai établi sentinelle pour la maison d'Israël, et tu entendras la parole de ma bouche, et tu les avertiras de ma part.
  
  8 Quand je dirai au méchant : Méchant, certainement tu mourras ! et que tu ne parleras pas pour avertir le méchant à l'égard de sa voie, lui, le méchant, mourra dans son iniquité ; mais je redemanderai son sang de ta main.
  
  9 Et si tu avertis le méchant à l'égard de sa voie, pour qu'il s'en détourne, et qu'il ne se détourne pas de sa voie, il mourra, lui, dans son iniquité ; mais toi, tu as délivré ton âme.
  
  10 Et toi, fils d'homme, dis à la maison d'Israël : Vous avez parlé ainsi, disant : Nos transgressions et nos péchés sont sur nous, et nous sommes consumés par eux, et comment vivrions-nous ?
  
  11 Dis-leur : Je suis vivant, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel, si je prends plaisir en la mort du méchant,... mais plutôt à ce que le méchant se détourne de sa voie et qu'il vive ! Détournez-vous, détournez-vous de vos mauvaises voies ; et pourquoi mourriez-vous, maison d'Israël ?
  
  12 Et toi, fils d'homme, dis aux fils de ton peuple : La justice du juste ne le délivrera pas, au jour de sa transgression ; et la méchanceté du méchant ne le fera pas tomber, au jour où il se détournera de sa méchanceté ; et le juste ne pourra pas vivre par sa justice, au jour où il péchera.
  
  13 Quand j'aurai dit au juste que certainement il vivra, et que lui se confie en sa justice et commette l'iniquité, de tous ses actes justes, aucun ne viendra en mémoire, mais dans son iniquité qu'il a commise il mourra.
  
  14 Et quand j'aurai dit au méchant : Certainement tu mourras,... s'il se détourne de son péché, et pratique le jugement et la justice ;
  
  15 si le méchant rend le gage, restitue ce qu'il a pillé, marche dans les statuts de la vie, en ne commettant pas l'iniquité, certainement il vivra, il ne mourra pas.
  
  16 De tous ses péchés qu'il a commis, aucun ne viendra en mémoire contre lui : il a pratiqué le jugement et la justice ; certainement il vivra.
  
  17 Et les fils de ton peuple disent : La voie du Seigneur n'est pas réglée ; mais c'est eux dont la voie n'est pas réglée.
  
  18 Quand le juste se détournera de sa justice et pratiquera l'iniquité, il en mourra.
  
  19 Et quand le méchant se détournera de sa méchanceté et pratiquera le jugement et la justice, il vivra à cause de cela.
  
  20 Et vous dites : La voie du Seigneur n'est pas réglée. Je vous jugerai, chacun selon ses voies, maison d'Israël.
  
  21 Et il arriva, la douzième année de notre transportation, au dixième mois, le cinquième jour du mois, qu'un réchappé de Jérusalem vint vers moi, disant : La ville est frappée.
  
  22 Et la main de l'Éternel avait été sur moi le soir avant que vint le réchappé, et elle avait ouvert ma bouche jusqu'à ce qu'il vînt vers moi le matin ; ainsi ma bouche fut ouverte, et je ne fus plus muet.
  
  23 Et la parole de l'Éternel vint à moi, disant :
  
  24 Fils d'homme, les habitants de ces lieux désolés, sur la terre d'Israël, parlent, disant : Abraham était un seul, et il a hérité le pays ; et nous sommes plusieurs, le pays nous est donné pour héritage.
  
  25 C'est pourquoi dis-leur : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Vous mangez avec le sang, et vous levez vos yeux vers vos idoles, et vous versez le sang : et vous hériteriez le pays ?
  
  26 Vous vous roidissez sur votre épée, vous commettez des abominations, et vous rendez impure, chacun de vous, la femme de son prochain : et vous hériteriez le pays ?
  
  27 Tu leur diras ainsi : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Je suis vivant, si ceux qui sont dans les lieux désolés ne tombent par l'épée ; et si je ne livre aux bêtes celui qui est par les champs, afin qu'elles le dévorent ; et si ceux qui sont dans les lieux forts et dans les cavernes ne meurent de la peste !
  
  28 Et je réduirai le pays en désolation et en désert ; et l'orgueil de sa force cessera ; et les montagnes d'Israël seront dévastées, de sorte que personne n'y passera.
  
  29 Et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel, quand j'aurai réduit le pays en désolation et en désert, à cause de toutes leurs abominations qu'ils ont commises.
  
  30 Et toi, fils d'homme, les fils de ton peuple parlent contre toi auprès des murs et aux entrées des maisons, et ils parlent l'un avec l'autre, chacun avec son frère, disant : Venez donc, et écoutez quelle est la parole qui est sortie de la part de l'Éternel.
  
  31 Et ils viennent vers toi comme vient un peuple, et ils s'asseyent devant toi comme étant mon peuple ; et ils entendent tes paroles, mais ils ne les pratiquent pas ; car de leur bouche ils disent des choses agréables, mais leur coeur va après leur gain déshonnête.
  
  32 Et voici, tu es pour eux comme un chant agréable, une belle voix, et quelqu'un qui joue bien ; et ils entendent tes paroles, mais ils ne les pratiquent nullement.
  
  33 Et quand la chose arrivera (la voici qui arrive), alors ils sauront qu'il y a eu un prophète au milieu d'eux.
  
  Galates 6
  
  1 Frères, quand même un homme s'est laissé surprendre par quelque faute, vous qui êtes spirituels, redressez un tel homme dans un esprit de douceur, prenant garde à toi-même, de peur que toi aussi tu ne sois tenté.
  
  2 Portez les charges les uns des autres, et ainsi accomplissez la loi du Christ ;
  
  3 car si, n'étant rien, quelqu'un pense être quelque chose, il se séduit lui-même ;
  
  4 mais que chacun éprouve sa propre oeuvre, et alors il aura de quoi se glorifier, relativement à lui-même seulement et non relativement à autrui :
  
  5 chacun portera son propre fardeau.
  
  6 Que celui qui est enseigné dans la parole fasse participer à tous les biens temporels celui qui enseigne.
  
  7 Ne soyez pas séduits ; on ne se moque pas de Dieu ; car ce qu'un homme sème, cela aussi il le moissonnera.
  
  8 Car celui qui sème pour sa propre chair moissonnera de la chair la corruption ; mais celui qui sème pour l'Esprit moissonnera de l'Esprit la vie éternelle.
  
  9 Or ne nous lassons pas en faisant le bien, car, au temps propre, nous moissonnerons, si nous ne défaillons pas.
  
  10 Ainsi donc, comme nous en avons l'occasion, faisons du bien à tous, mais surtout à ceux de la maison de la foi.
  
  11 Vous voyez quelle longue lettre je vous ai écrite de ma propre main.
  
  12 Tous ceux qui veulent avoir une belle apparence dans la chair, ceux-là vous contraignent à être circoncis, seulement afin qu'ils ne soient pas persécutés à cause de la croix de Christ.
  
  13 Car ceux-là qui sont circoncis, eux-mêmes ne gardent pas la loi ; mais ils veulent que vous soyez circoncis, afin de se glorifier dans votre chair.
  
  14 Mais qu'il ne m'arrive pas à moi de me glorifier, sinon en la croix de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, par laquelle le monde m'est crucifié, et moi au monde.
  
  15 Car ni la circoncision, ni l'incirconcision ne sont rien, mais une nouvelle création.
  
  16 Et à l'égard de tous ceux qui marcheront selon cette règle, paix et miséricorde sur eux et sur l'Israël de Dieu !
  
  17 Désormais que personne ne vienne me troubler, car moi je porte en mon corps les marques du Seigneur Jésus.
  
  18 Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec votre esprit, frères ! Amen.

  1 Now the days of David drew near that he should die; and he commanded Solomon his son, saying,
  
  2 "I am going the way of all the earth. You be strong therefore, and show yourself a man;
  
  3 and keep the instruction of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, according to that which is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn yourself.
  
  4 That Yahweh may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you,' he said, 'a man on the throne of Israel.'
  
  5 "Moreover you know also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, even what he did to the two captains of the armies of Israel, to Abner the son of Ner, and to Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war on his sash that was about his waist, and in his shoes that were on his feet.
  
  6 Do therefore according to your wisdom, and don't let his gray head go down to Sheol in peace.
  
  7 But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those who eat at your table; for so they came to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.
  
  8 "Behold, there is with you Shimei the son of Gera, the Benjamite, of Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by Yahweh, saying, 'I will not put you to death with the sword.'
  
  9 Now therefore don't hold him guiltless, for you are a wise man; and you will know what you ought to do to him, and you shall bring his gray head down to Sheol with blood."
  
  10 David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
  
  11 The days that David reigned over Israel were forty years; he reigned seven years in Hebron, and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
  
  12 Solomon sat on the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was firmly established.
  
  13 Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. She said, "Do you come peaceably?" He said, "Peaceably.
  
  14 He said moreover, I have something to tell you." She said, "Say on."
  
  15 He said, "You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign. However the kingdom is turned around, and has become my brother's; for it was his from Yahweh.
  
  16 Now I ask one petition of you. Don't deny me." She said to him, "Say on."
  
  17 He said, "Please speak to Solomon the king (for he will not tell you 'no'), that he give me Abishag the Shunammite as wife."
  
  18 Bathsheba said, "Alright. I will speak for you to the king."
  
  19 Bathsheba therefore went to king Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. The king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a throne to be set for the king's mother; and she sat on his right hand.
  
  20 Then she said, "I ask one small petition of you; don't deny me." The king said to her, "Ask on, my mother; for I will not deny you."
  
  21 She said, "Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother as wife."
  
  22 King Solomon answered his mother, "Why do you ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Ask for him the kingdom also; for he is my elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah."
  
  23 Then king Solomon swore by Yahweh, saying, "God do so to me, and more also, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life.
  
  24 Now therefore as Yahweh lives, who has established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as he promised, surely Adonijah shall be put to death this day."
  
  25 King Solomon sent by Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he fell on him, so that he died.
  
  26 To Abiathar the priest the king said, "Go to Anathoth, to your own fields; for you are worthy of death. But I will not at this time put you to death, because you bore the ark of the Lord Yahweh before David my father, and because you were afflicted in all in which my father was afflicted."
  
  27 So Solomon thrust out Abiathar from being priest to Yahweh, that he might fulfill the word of Yahweh, which he spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
  
  28 The news came to Joab; for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he didn't turn after Absalom. Joab fled to the Tent of Yahweh, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.
  
  29 It was told king Solomon, "Joab has fled to the Tent of Yahweh, and behold, he is by the altar." Then Solomon sent Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, saying, "Go, fall on him."
  
  30 Benaiah came to the Tent of Yahweh, and said to him, "Thus says the king, 'Come forth!'" He said, "No; but I will die here." Benaiah brought the king word again, saying, "Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me."
  
  31 The king said to him, "Do as he has said, and fall on him, and bury him; that you may take away the blood, which Joab shed without cause, from me and from my father's house.
  
  32 Yahweh will return his blood on his own head, because he fell on two men more righteous and better than he, and killed them with the sword, and my father David didn't know it: Abner the son of Ner, captain of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, captain of the army of Judah.
  
  33 So shall their blood return on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed forever. But to David, and to his seed, and to his house, and to his throne, there shall be peace forever from Yahweh."
  
  34 Then Benaiah the son of Jehoiada went up, and fell on him, and killed him; and he was buried in his own house in the wilderness.
  
  35 The king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his place over the army; and the king put Zadok the priest in the place of Abiathar.
  
  36 The king sent and called for Shimei, and said to him, "Build yourself a house in Jerusalem, and dwell there, and don't go out from there anywhere.
  
  37 For on the day you go out, and pass over the brook Kidron, know for certain that you shall surely die: your blood shall be on your own head."
  
  38 Shimei said to the king, "The saying is good. As my lord the king has said, so will your servant do." Shimei lived in Jerusalem many days.
  
  39 It happened at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei ran away to Achish, son of Maacah, king of Gath. They told Shimei, saying, "Behold, your servants are in Gath."
  
  40 Shimei arose, and saddled his donkey, and went to Gath to Achish, to seek his servants; and Shimei went, and brought his servants from Gath.
  
  41 It was told Solomon that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and had come again.
  
  42 The king sent and called for Shimei, and said to him, "Didn't I adjure you by Yahweh, and warn you, saying, 'Know for certain, that on the day you go out, and walk abroad any where, you shall surely die?' You said to me, 'The saying that I have heard is good.'
  
  43 Why then have you not kept the oath of Yahweh, and the commandment that I have instructed you with?"
  
  44 The king said moreover to Shimei, "You know all the wickedness which your heart is privy to, that you did to David my father. Therefore Yahweh shall return your wickedness on your own head.
  
  45 But king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before Yahweh forever."
  
  46 So the king commanded Benaiah the son of Jehoiada; and he went out, and fell on him, so that he died. The kingdom was established in the hand of Solomon.
  
  Ezéchiel 33
  
  1 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
  
  2 Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them, When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;
  
  3 if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
  
  4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and doesn't take warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
  
  5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and didn't take warning; his blood shall be on him; whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul.
  
  6 But if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn't blow the trumpet, and the people aren't warned, and the sword comes, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
  
  7 So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
  
  8 When I tell the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you don't speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.
  
  9 Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn't turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
  
  10 You, son of man, tell the house of Israel: Thus you speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them; how then can we live?
  
  11 Tell them, As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, house of Israel?
  
  12 You, son of man, tell the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his disobedience; and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall he who is righteous be able to live thereby in the day that he sins.
  
  13 When I tell the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his righteousness, and commit iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in his iniquity that he has committed, therein shall he die.
  
  14 Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
  
  15 if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
  
  16 None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him: he has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
  
  17 Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
  
  18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall even die therein.
  
  19 When the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
  
  20 Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. House of Israel, I will judge every one of you after his ways.
  
  21 It happened in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, that one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city has been struck.
  
  22 Now the hand of Yahweh had been on me in the evening, before he who was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more mute.
  
  23 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
  
  24 Son of man, they who inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
  
  25 Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?
  
  26 You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and every one of you defiles his neighbor's wife: and shall you possess the land?
  
  27 You shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him who is in the open field will I give to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
  
  28 I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.
  
  29 Then shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.
  
  30 As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, everyone to his brother, saying, Please come and hear what is the word that comes forth from Yahweh.
  
  31 They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don't do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
  
  32 Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don't do them.
  
  33 When this comes to pass, (behold, it comes), then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.
  
  Galates 6
  
  1 Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted.
  
  2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
  
  3 For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
  
  4 But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.
  
  5 For each man will bear his own burden.
  
  6 But let him who is taught in the word share all good things with him who teaches.
  
  7 Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
  
  8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
  
  9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up.
  
  10 So then, as we have opportunity, let's do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.
  
  11 See with what large letters I write to you with my own hand.
  
  12 As many as desire to look good in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
  
  13 For even they who receive circumcision don't keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.
  
  14 But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
  
  15 For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
  
  16 As many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on God's Israel.
  
  17 From now on, let no one cause me any trouble, for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus branded on my body.
  
  18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

  2 אָנֹכִ֣י הֹלֵ֔ךְ בְּדֶ֖רֶךְ כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְחָזַקְתָּ֖ וְהָיִ֥יתָֽ לְאִֽישׁ׃

  13 וַיָּבֹ֞א אֲדֹנִיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־חַגֵּ֗ית אֶל־בַּת־שֶׁ֙בַע֙ אֵם־שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וַתֹּ֖אמֶר הֲשָׁל֣וֹם בֹּאֶ֑ךָ וַיֹּ֖אמֶר שָׁלֽוֹם׃

  22 וַיַּעַן֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְאִמּ֗וֹ וְלָמָה֩ אַ֨תְּ שֹׁאֶ֜לֶת אֶת־אֲבִישַׁ֤ג הַשֻּׁנַמִּית֙ לַאֲדֹ֣נִיָּ֔הוּ וְשַֽׁאֲלִי־לוֹ֙ אֶת־הַמְּלוּכָ֔ה כִּ֛י ה֥וּא אָחִ֖י הַגָּד֣וֹל מִמֶּ֑נִּי וְלוֹ֙ וּלְאֶבְיָתָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וּלְיוֹאָ֖ב בֶּן־צְרוּיָֽה׃
  
  23 וַיִּשָּׁבַע֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה בַּֽיהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּ֣ה יַֽעֲשֶׂה־לִּ֤י אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִ֔יף כִּ֣י בְנַפְשׁ֔וֹ דִּבֶּר֙ אֲדֹ֣נִיָּ֔הוּ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּֽה׃
  
  24 וְעַתָּ֗ה חַי־יְהוָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֱכִינַ֗נִי *ויושיביני **וַיּֽוֹשִׁיבַ֙נִי֙ עַל־כִּסֵּא֙ דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֔י וַאֲשֶׁ֧ר עָֽשָׂה־לִ֛י בַּ֖יִת כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּ֑ר כִּ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם יוּמַ֖ת אֲדֹנִיָּֽהוּ׃
  
  25 וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה בְּיַ֖ד בְּנָיָ֣הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֑ע וַיִּפְגַּע־בּ֖וֹ וַיָּמֹֽת׃
  
  26 וּלְאֶבְיָתָ֨ר הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אָמַ֣ר הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עֲנָתֹת֙ לֵ֣ךְ עַל־שָׂדֶ֔יךָ כִּ֛י אִ֥ישׁ מָ֖וֶת אָ֑תָּה וּבַיּ֨וֹם הַזֶּ֜ה לֹ֣א אֲמִיתֶ֗ךָ כִּֽי־נָשָׂ֜אתָ אֶת־אֲר֨וֹן אֲדֹנָ֤י יְהֹוִה֙ לִפְנֵי֙ דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֔י וְכִ֣י הִתְעַנִּ֔יתָ בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶֽׁר־הִתְעַנָּ֖ה אָבִֽי׃
  
  27 וַיְגָ֤רֶשׁ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ אֶת־אֶבְיָתָ֔ר מִהְי֥וֹת כֹּהֵ֖ן לַֽיהוָ֑ה לְמַלֵּא֙ אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֶּ֛ר עַל־בֵּ֥ית עֵלִ֖י בְּשִׁלֹֽה׃
  
  28 וְהַשְּׁמֻעָה֙ בָּ֣אָה עַד־יוֹאָ֔ב כִּ֣י יוֹאָ֗ב נָטָה֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י אֲדֹנִיָּ֔ה וְאַחֲרֵ֥י אַבְשָׁל֖וֹם לֹ֣א נָטָ֑ה וַיָּ֤נָס יוֹאָב֙ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל יְהוָ֔ה וַֽיַּחֲזֵ֖ק בְּקַרְנ֥וֹת הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
  
  29 וַיֻּגַּ֞ד לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה כִּ֣י נָ֤ס יוֹאָב֙ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל יְהוָ֔ה וְהִנֵּ֖ה אֵ֣צֶל הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת־בְּנָיָ֧הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֛ע לֵאמֹ֖ר לֵ֥ךְ פְּגַע־בּֽוֹ׃
  
  30 וַיָּבֹ֨א בְנָיָ֜הוּ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל יְהוָ֗ה וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜יו כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ צֵ֔א וַיֹּ֥אמֶר ׀ לֹ֖א כִּ֣י פֹ֣ה אָמ֑וּת וַיָּ֨שֶׁב בְּנָיָ֤הוּ אֶת־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ דָּבָ֣ר לֵאמֹ֔ר כֹּֽה־דִבֶּ֥ר יוֹאָ֖ב וְכֹ֥ה עָנָֽנִי׃
  
  31 וַיֹּ֧אמֶר ל֣וֹ הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ עֲשֵׂה֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֔ר וּפְגַע־בּ֖וֹ וּקְבַרְתּ֑וֹ וַהֲסִירֹ֣תָ ׀ דְּמֵ֣י חִנָּ֗ם אֲשֶׁר֙ שָׁפַ֣ךְ יוֹאָ֔ב מֵעָלַ֕י וּמֵעַ֖ל בֵּ֥ית אָבִֽי׃
  
  32 וְהֵשִׁיב֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֶת־דָּמ֜וֹ עַל־רֹאשׁ֗וֹ אֲשֶׁ֣ר פָּגַ֣ע בִּשְׁנֵֽי־אֲ֠נָשִׁים צַדִּקִ֨ים וְטֹבִ֤ים מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ וַיַּהַרְגֵ֣ם בַּחֶ֔רֶב וְאָבִ֥י דָוִ֖ד לֹ֣א יָדָ֑ע אֶת־אַבְנֵ֤ר בֶּן־נֵר֙ שַׂר־צְבָ֣א יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְאֶת־עֲמָשָׂ֥א בֶן־יֶ֖תֶר שַׂר־צְבָ֥א יְהוּדָֽה׃
  
  33 וְשָׁ֤בוּ דְמֵיהֶם֙ בְּרֹ֣אשׁ יוֹאָ֔ב וּבְרֹ֥אשׁ זַרְע֖וֹ לְעֹלָ֑ם וּלְדָוִ֡ד וּ֠לְזַרְעוֹ וּלְבֵית֨וֹ וּלְכִסְא֜וֹ יִהְיֶ֥ה שָׁל֛וֹם עַד־עוֹלָ֖ם מֵעִ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃
  
  34 וַיַּ֗עַל בְּנָיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע וַיִּפְגַּע־בּ֖וֹ וַיְמִתֵ֑הוּ וַיִּקָּבֵ֥ר בְּבֵית֖וֹ בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
  
  35 וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶת־בְּנָיָ֧הוּ בֶן־יְהוֹיָדָ֛ע תַּחְתָּ֖יו עַל־הַצָּבָ֑א וְאֶת־צָד֤וֹק הַכֹּהֵן֙ נָתַ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ תַּ֖חַת אֶבְיָתָֽר׃
  
  36 וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וַיִּקְרָ֣א לְשִׁמְעִ֔י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ בְּֽנֵה־לְךָ֥ בַ֙יִת֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְיָשַׁבְתָּ֖ שָׁ֑ם וְלֹֽא־תֵצֵ֥א מִשָּׁ֖ם אָ֥נֶה וָאָֽנָה׃
  
  37 וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ בְּי֣וֹם צֵאתְךָ֗ וְעָֽבַרְתָּ֙ אֶת־נַ֣חַל קִדְר֔וֹן יָדֹ֥עַ תֵּדַ֖ע כִּ֣י מ֣וֹת תָּמ֑וּת דָּמְךָ֖ יִהְיֶ֥ה בְרֹאשֶֽׁךָ׃
  
  38 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר שִׁמְעִ֤י לַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ ט֣וֹב הַדָּבָ֔ר כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר דִּבֶּר֙ אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ כֵּ֖ן יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ וַיֵּ֧שֶׁב שִׁמְעִ֛י בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם יָמִ֥ים רַבִּֽים׃
  
  39 וַיְהִ֗י מִקֵּץ֙ שָׁלֹ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים וַיִּבְרְח֤וּ שְׁנֵֽי־עֲבָדִים֙ לְשִׁמְעִ֔י אֶל־אָכִ֥ישׁ בֶּֽן־מַעֲכָ֖ה מֶ֣לֶךְ גַּ֑ת וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ לְשִׁמְעִי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הִנֵּ֥ה עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ בְּגַֽת׃
  
  40 וַיָּ֣קָם שִׁמְעִ֗י וַֽיַּחֲבֹשׁ֙ אֶת־חֲמֹר֔וֹ וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ גַּ֙תָה֙ אֶל־אָכִ֔ישׁ לְבַקֵּ֖שׁ אֶת־עֲבָדָ֑יו וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ שִׁמְעִ֔י וַיָּבֵ֥א אֶת־עֲבָדָ֖יו מִגַּֽת׃
  
  41 וַיֻּגַּ֖ד לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה כִּי־הָלַ֨ךְ שִׁמְעִ֧י מִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם גַּ֖ת וַיָּשֹֽׁב׃
  
  42 וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ וַיִּקְרָ֣א לְשִׁמְעִ֗י וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜יו הֲל֧וֹא הִשְׁבַּעְתִּ֣יךָ בַֽיהוָ֗ה וָאָעִ֤ד בְּךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בְּי֣וֹם צֵאתְךָ֗ וְהָֽלַכְתָּ֙ אָ֣נֶה וָאָ֔נָה יָדֹ֥עַ תֵּדַ֖ע כִּ֣י מ֣וֹת תָּמ֑וּת וַתֹּ֧אמֶר אֵלַ֛י ט֥וֹב הַדָּבָ֖ר שָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃
  
  43 וּמַדּ֕וּעַ לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔רְתָּ אֵ֖ת שְׁבֻעַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶת־הַמִּצְוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי עָלֶֽיךָ׃
  
  44 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ אֶל־שִׁמְעִ֗י אַתָּ֤ה יָדַ֙עְתָּ֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֤ר יָדַע֙ לְבָ֣בְךָ֔ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתָ לְדָוִ֣ד אָבִ֑י וְהֵשִׁ֧יב יְהוָ֛ה אֶת־רָעָתְךָ֖ בְּרֹאשֶֽׁךָ׃
  
  45 וְהַמֶּ֥לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה בָּר֑וּךְ וְכִסֵּ֣א דָוִ֗ד יִהְיֶ֥ה נָכ֛וֹן לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
  
  46 וַיְצַ֣ו הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אֶת־בְּנָיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע וַיֵּצֵ֕א וַיִּפְגַּע־בּ֖וֹ וַיָּמֹ֑ת וְהַמַּמְלָכָ֥ה נָכ֖וֹנָה בְּיַד־שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃

  1 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
  
  2 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם דַּבֵּ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵֽי־עַמְּךָ֙ וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אֶ֕רֶץ כִּֽי־אָבִ֥יא עָלֶ֖יהָ חָ֑רֶב וְלָקְח֨וּ עַם־הָאָ֜רֶץ אִ֤ישׁ אֶחָד֙ מִקְצֵיהֶ֔ם וְנָתְנ֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ לָהֶ֖ם לְצֹפֶֽה׃
  
  3 וְרָאָ֥ה אֶת־הַחֶ֖רֶב בָּאָ֣ה עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְתָקַ֥ע בַּשּׁוֹפָ֖ר וְהִזְהִ֥יר אֶת־הָעָֽם׃
  
  4 וְשָׁמַ֨ע הַשֹּׁמֵ֜עַ אֶת־ק֤וֹל הַשּׁוֹפָר֙ וְלֹ֣א נִזְהָ֔ר וַתָּ֥בוֹא חֶ֖רֶב וַתִּקָּחֵ֑הוּ דָּמ֥וֹ בְרֹאשׁ֖וֹ יִֽהְיֶֽה׃
  
  5 אֵת֩ ק֨וֹל הַשּׁוֹפָ֤ר שָׁמַע֙ וְלֹ֣א נִזְהָ֔ר דָּמ֖וֹ בּ֣וֹ יִֽהְיֶ֑ה וְה֥וּא נִזְהָ֖ר נַפְשׁ֥וֹ מִלֵּֽט׃
  
  6 וְ֠הַצֹּפֶה כִּֽי־יִרְאֶ֨ה אֶת־הַחֶ֜רֶב בָּאָ֗ה וְלֹֽא־תָקַ֤ע בַּשּׁוֹפָר֙ וְהָעָ֣ם לֹֽא־נִזְהָ֔ר וַתָּב֣וֹא חֶ֔רֶב וַתִּקַּ֥ח מֵהֶ֖ם נָ֑פֶשׁ ה֚וּא בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ נִלְקָ֔ח וְדָמ֖וֹ מִיַּֽד־הַצֹּפֶ֥ה אֶדְרֹֽשׁ׃
  
  7 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם צֹפֶ֥ה נְתַתִּ֖יךָ לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֤ מִפִּי֙ דָּבָ֔ר וְהִזְהַרְתָּ֥ אֹתָ֖ם מִמֶּֽנִּי׃
  
  8 בְּאָמְרִ֣י לָרָשָׁ֗ע רָשָׁע֙ מ֣וֹת תָּמ֔וּת וְלֹ֣א דִבַּ֔רְתָּ לְהַזְהִ֥יר רָשָׁ֖ע מִדַּרְכּ֑וֹ ה֤וּא רָשָׁע֙ בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ יָמ֔וּת וְדָמ֖וֹ מִיָּדְךָ֥ אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃
  
  9 וְ֠אַתָּה כִּֽי־הִזְהַ֨רְתָּ רָשָׁ֤ע מִדַּרְכּוֹ֙ לָשׁ֣וּב מִמֶּ֔נָּה וְלֹא־שָׁ֖ב מִדַּרְכּ֑וֹ ה֚וּא בַּעֲוֺנ֣וֹ יָמ֔וּת וְאַתָּ֖ה נַפְשְׁךָ֥ הִצַּֽלְתָּ׃
  
  10 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם אֱמֹר֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כֵּ֤ן אֲמַרְתֶּם֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר כִּֽי־פְשָׁעֵ֥ינוּ וְחַטֹּאתֵ֖ינוּ עָלֵ֑ינוּ וּבָ֛ם אֲנַ֥חְנוּ נְמַקִּ֖ים וְאֵ֥יךְ נִֽחְיֶֽה׃
  
  11 אֱמֹ֨ר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם חַי־אָ֣נִי ׀ נְאֻ֣ם ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֗ה אִם־אֶחְפֹּץ֙ בְּמ֣וֹת הָרָשָׁ֔ע כִּ֣י אִם־בְּשׁ֥וּב רָשָׁ֛ע מִדַּרְכּ֖וֹ וְחָיָ֑ה שׁ֣וּבוּ שׁ֜וּבוּ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֧ם הָרָעִ֛ים וְלָ֥מָּה תָמ֖וּתוּ בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  12 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם אֱמֹ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵֽי־עַמְּךָ֙ צִדְקַ֣ת הַצַּדִּ֗יק לֹ֤א תַצִּילֶ֙נּוּ֙ בְּי֣וֹם פִּשְׁע֔וֹ וְרִשְׁעַ֤ת הָֽרָשָׁע֙ לֹֽא־יִכָּ֣שֶׁל בָּ֔הּ בְּי֖וֹם שׁוּב֣וֹ מֵֽרִשְׁע֑וֹ וְצַדִּ֗יק לֹ֥א יוּכַ֛ל לִֽחְי֥וֹת בָּ֖הּ בְּי֥וֹם חֲטֹאתֽוֹ׃
  
  13 בְּאָמְרִ֤י לַצַּדִּיק֙ חָיֹ֣ה יִֽחְיֶ֔ה וְהֽוּא־בָטַ֥ח עַל־צִדְקָת֖וֹ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֑וֶל כָּל־*צדקתו **צִדְקֹתָיו֙ לֹ֣א תִזָּכַ֔רְנָה וּבְעַוְל֥וֹ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖ה בּ֥וֹ יָמֽוּת׃
  
  14 וּבְאָמְרִ֥י לָֽרָשָׁ֖ע מ֣וֹת תָּמ֑וּת וְשָׁב֙ מֵֽחַטָּאת֔וֹ וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָֽה׃
  
  15 חֲבֹ֨ל יָשִׁ֤יב רָשָׁע֙ גְּזֵלָ֣ה יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם בְּחֻקּ֤וֹת הַֽחַיִּים֙ הָלַ֔ךְ לְבִלְתִּ֖י עֲשׂ֣וֹת עָ֑וֶל חָי֥וֹ יִֽחְיֶ֖ה לֹ֥א יָמֽוּת׃
  
  16 כָּל־*חטאתו **חַטֹּאתָיו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֔א לֹ֥א תִזָּכַ֖רְנָה ל֑וֹ מִשְׁפָּ֧ט וּצְדָקָ֛ה עָשָׂ֖ה חָי֥וֹ יִֽחְיֶֽה׃
  
  17 וְאָמְרוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמְּךָ֔ לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י וְהֵ֖מָּה דַּרְכָּ֥ם לֹֽא־יִתָּכֵֽן׃
  
  18 בְּשׁוּב־צַדִּ֥יק מִצִּדְקָת֖וֹ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֑וֶל וּמֵ֖ת בָּהֶֽם׃
  
  19 וּבְשׁ֤וּב רָשָׁע֙ מֵֽרִשְׁעָת֔וֹ וְעָשָׂ֥ה מִשְׁפָּ֖ט וּצְדָקָ֑ה עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם ה֥וּא יִֽחְיֶֽה׃
  
  20 וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֕ם לֹ֥א יִתָּכֵ֖ן דֶּ֣רֶךְ אֲדֹנָ֑י אִ֧ישׁ כִּדְרָכָ֛יו אֶשְׁפּ֥וֹט אֶתְכֶ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל
  
  21 וַיְהִ֞י בִּשְׁתֵּ֧י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֗ה בָּעֲשִׂרִ֛י בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ לְגָלוּתֵ֑נוּ בָּא־אֵלַ֨י הַפָּלִ֧יט מִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם לֵאמֹ֖ר הֻכְּתָ֥ה הָעִֽיר׃
  
  22 וְיַד־יְהוָה֩ הָיְתָ֨ה אֵלַ֜י בָּעֶ֗רֶב לִפְנֵי֙ בּ֣וֹא הַפָּלִ֔יט וַיִּפְתַּ֣ח אֶת־פִּ֔י עַד־בּ֥וֹא אֵלַ֖י בַּבֹּ֑קֶר וַיִּפָּ֣תַח פִּ֔י וְלֹ֥א נֶאֱלַ֖מְתִּי עֽוֹד׃
  
  23 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃
  
  24 בֶּן־אָדָ֗ם יֹ֠שְׁבֵי הֶחֳרָב֨וֹת הָאֵ֜לֶּה עַל־אַדְמַ֤ת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אֹמְרִ֣ים לֵאמֹ֔ר אֶחָד֙ הָיָ֣ה אַבְרָהָ֔ם וַיִּירַ֖שׁ אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ רַבִּ֔ים לָ֛נוּ נִתְּנָ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץ לְמוֹרָשָֽׁה׃
  
  25 לָכֵן֩ אֱמֹ֨ר אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר ׀ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֗ה עַל־הַדָּ֧ם ׀ תֹּאכֵ֛לוּ וְעֵינֵכֶ֛ם תִּשְׂא֥וּ אֶל־גִּלּוּלֵיכֶ֖ם וְדָ֣ם תִּשְׁפֹּ֑כוּ וְהָאָ֖רֶץ תִּירָֽשׁוּ׃
  
  26 עֲמַדְתֶּ֤ם עַֽל־חַרְבְּכֶם֙ עֲשִׂיתֶ֣ן תּוֹעֵבָ֔ה וְאִ֛ישׁ אֶת־אֵ֥שֶׁת רֵעֵ֖הוּ טִמֵּאתֶ֑ם וְהָאָ֖רֶץ תִּירָֽשׁוּ׃
  
  27 כֹּֽה־תֹאמַ֨ר אֲלֵהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֨ר אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִה֮ חַי־אָנִי֒ אִם־לֹ֞א אֲשֶׁ֤ר בֶּֽחֳרָבוֹת֙ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֔לוּ וַֽאֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הַשָּׂדֶ֔ה לַחַיָּ֥ה נְתַתִּ֖יו לְאָכְל֑וֹ וַאֲשֶׁ֛ר בַּמְּצָד֥וֹת וּבַמְּעָר֖וֹת בַּדֶּ֥בֶר יָמֽוּתוּ׃
  
  28 וְנָתַתִּ֤י אֶת־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ שְׁמָמָ֣ה וּמְשַׁמָּ֔ה וְנִשְׁבַּ֖ת גְּא֣וֹן עֻזָּ֑הּ וְשָֽׁמְמ֛וּ הָרֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֵ֥ין עוֹבֵֽר׃
  
  29 וְיָדְע֖וּ כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהוָ֑ה בְּתִתִּ֤י אֶת־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ שְׁמָמָ֣ה וּמְשַׁמָּ֔ה עַ֥ל כָּל־תּוֹעֲבֹתָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשֽׂוּ׃
  
  30 וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֔ם בְּנֵ֣י עַמְּךָ֗ הַנִּדְבָּרִ֤ים בְּךָ֙ אֵ֣צֶל הַקִּיר֔וֹת וּבְפִתְחֵ֖י הַבָּתִּ֑ים וְדִבֶּר־חַ֣ד אֶת־אַחַ֗ד אִ֤ישׁ אֶת־אָחִיו֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בֹּֽאוּ־נָ֣א וְשִׁמְע֔וּ מָ֣ה הַדָּבָ֔ר הַיּוֹצֵ֖א מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָֽה׃
  
  31 וְיָב֣וֹאוּ אֵ֠לֶיךָ כִּמְבוֹא־עָ֞ם וְיֵשְׁב֤וּ לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ עַמִּ֔י וְשָֽׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ וְאוֹתָ֖ם לֹ֣א יַֽעֲשׂ֑וּ כִּֽי־עֲגָבִ֤ים בְּפִיהֶם֙ הֵ֣מָּה עֹשִׂ֔ים אַחֲרֵ֥י בִצְעָ֖ם לִבָּ֥ם הֹלֵֽךְ׃
  
  32 וְהִנְּךָ֤ לָהֶם֙ כְּשִׁ֣יר עֲגָבִ֔ים יְפֵ֥ה ק֖וֹל וּמֵטִ֣ב נַגֵּ֑ן וְשָֽׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־דְּבָרֶ֔יךָ וְעֹשִׂ֥ים אֵינָ֖ם אוֹתָֽם׃

  1 Ἀδελφοί, ἐὰν καὶ προλημφθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἔν τινι παραπτώματι, ὑμεῖς οἱ πνευματικοὶ καταρτίζετε τὸν τοιοῦτον ἐν πνεύματι πραΰτητος, σκοπῶν σεαυτόν, μὴ καὶ σὺ πειρασθῇς.
  
  2 ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε, καὶ οὕτως ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ Χριστοῦ.
  
  3 εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὤν, φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν·
  
  4 τὸ δὲ ἔργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἕκαστος, καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἕξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἕτερον,
  
  5 ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει.
  
  6 Κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῷ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς.
  
  7 μὴ πλανᾶσθε, θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται· ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει·
  
  8 ὅτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν, ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον.
  
  9 τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐγκακῶμεν, καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι.
  
  10 ἄρα οὖν ὡς καιρὸν ἔχομεν, ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας, μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως.
  
  11 Ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί.
  
  12 ὅσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί, οὗτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι, μόνον ἵνα τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Χριστοῦ μὴ διώκωνται·
  
  13 οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν, ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται.
  
  14 ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δι’ οὗ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται κἀγὼ κόσμῳ.
  
  15 οὔτε γὰρ περιτομή τί ἐστιν οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις.
  
  16 καὶ ὅσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν, εἰρήνη ἐπ’ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ θεοῦ.
  
  17 Τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω, ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ σώματί μου βαστάζω.
  
  18 Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοί· ἀμήν.
