- 1 Rois 11
  
  1 Mais le roi Salomon aima beaucoup de femmes étrangères, outre la fille du Pharaon : des Moabites, des Ammonites, des Édomites, des Sidoniennes, des Héthiennes,
  
  2 -d'entre les nations dont l'Éternel avait dit aux fils d'Israël : Vous n'entrerez pas vers elles, et elles ne viendront pas vers vous ; certainement elles détourneraient vos coeurs après leurs dieux ; Salomon s'attacha à elles par amour.
  
  3 Et il avait sept cents femmes princesses, et trois cents concubines ; et ses femmes détournèrent son coeur.
  
  4 Et il arriva, au temps de la vieillesse de Salomon, que ses femmes détournèrent son coeur auprès d'autres dieux, et son coeur ne fut pas parfait avec l'Éternel, son Dieu, comme le coeur de David, son père.
  
  5 Et Salomon alla après Ashtoreth, la divinité des Sidoniens, et après Milcom, l'abomination des Ammonites.
  
  6 Et Salomon fit ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel, et ne suivit pas pleinement l'Éternel, comme David, son père.
  
  7 Alors Salomon bâtit un haut lieu pour Kemosh, l'abomination de Moab, sur la montagne qui est vis-à-vis de Jérusalem, et pour Moloc, l'abomination des fils d'Ammon.
  
  8 Et il en fit ainsi pour toutes ses femmes étrangères, qui brûlaient de l'encens et sacrifiaient à leurs dieux.
  
  9 Et l'Éternel eut de la colère contre Salomon, parce que son coeur s'était détourné de l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, qui s'était révélé à lui deux fois,
  
  10 et lui avait commandé, à ce sujet, de ne pas aller après d'autres dieux, et il ne garda pas ce que l'Éternel lui avait commandé.
  
  11 Et l'Éternel dit à Salomon : Parce que tu as fait cela, et que tu n'as pas gardé mon alliance et mes statuts, que je t'ai commandés, je t'arracherai certainement le royaume, et je le donnerai à ton serviteur.
  
  12 Seulement, je ne le ferai pas dans tes jours, à cause de David, ton père ; mais je l'arracherai de la main de ton fils.
  
  13 Toutefois je ne lui arracherai pas tout le royaume ; je donnerai une tribu à ton fils, à cause de David, mon serviteur, et à cause de Jérusalem, que j'ai choisie.
  
  14 Et l'Éternel suscita un adversaire à Salomon, Hadad, l'Édomite : il était de la semence royale en Édom.
  
  15 Et il était arrivé, pendant que David était en Édom et que Joab, chef de l'armée, était monté pour enterrer les morts, car il avait frappé tout mâle en Édom
  
  16 (or Joab resta là six mois avec tout Israël, jusqu'à ce qu'il eût retranché tous les mâles en Édom),
  
  17 qu'Hadad s'enfuit, lui et quelques Édomites d'entre les serviteurs de son père avec lui, pour aller en Égypte ; et Hadad était un jeune garçon.
  
  18 Et ils se levèrent de Madian et vinrent à Paran ; et ils prirent des hommes avec eux de Paran, et vinrent en Égypte vers le Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, qui lui donna une maison, et lui assigna des provisions, et lui donna des terres.
  
  19 Et Hadad trouva grande faveur aux yeux de Pharaon, et le Pharaon lui donna pour femme la soeur de sa femme, la soeur de la reine Thakhpenès.
  
  20 Et la soeur de Thakhpenès lui enfanta Guenubath, son fils, et Thakhpenès le sevra dans la maison du Pharaon ; et Guenubath était dans la maison du Pharaon, parmi les fils du Pharaon.
  
  21 Et Hadad apprit en Égypte que David s'était endormi avec ses pères, et que Joab, chef de l'armée, était mort ; et Hadad dit au Pharaon : Laisse-moi aller et j'irai dans mon pays.
  
  22 Et le Pharaon lui dit : Que te manque-t-il auprès de moi, que voici, tu désires de t'en aller dans ton pays ? Et il dit : Rien, mais quoi qu'il en soit, laisse-moi aller.
  
  23 Dieu lui suscita encore un adversaire, Rezon, fils d'Éliada, qui s'enfuit de chez Hadadézer, roi de Tsoba, son seigneur ;
  
  24 et il rassembla des hommes auprès de lui, et devint chef de bande, lorsque David tua ceux de Tsoba. Et ils s'en allèrent à Damas, et y demeurèrent, et ils régnèrent à Damas.
  
  25 Et il fut l'adversaire d'Israël tous les jours de Salomon, outre le mal que fit Hadad ; et il détesta Israël, et régna sur la Syrie.
  
  26 Et Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, Éphratien de Tseréda, serviteur de Salomon (et le nom de sa mère, une femme veuve, était Tserua), leva aussi sa main contre le roi.
  
  27 Et c'est ici l'occasion pour laquelle il leva sa main contre le roi : Salomon bâtissait Millo, et fermait la brèche de la ville de David, son père ;
  
  28 et Jéroboam était un fort et vaillant homme ; et Salomon vit que le jeune homme faisait de l'ouvrage, et le préposa sur tout le travail de la maison de Joseph.
  
  29 Et il arriva en ce temps-là que Jéroboam sortit de Jérusalem ; et Akhija, le Silonite, le prophète, le trouva sur le chemin, et il était revêtu d'un manteau neuf, et ils étaient seuls, eux deux, dans les champs.
  
  30 Et Akhija saisit le manteau neuf qu'il avait sur lui, et le déchira en douze morceaux.
  
  31 Et il dit à Jéroboam : Prends dix morceaux pour toi ; car ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Voici, j'arrache le royaume de la main de Salomon, et je te donne dix tribus ;
  
  32 mais une tribu sera à lui, à cause de mon serviteur David, et à cause de Jérusalem, la ville que j'ai choisie d'entre toutes les tribus d'Israël ; parce qu'ils m'ont abandonné,
  
  33 et ont adoré Ashtoreth, la divinité des Sidoniens, Kemosh, le dieu de Moab, et Milcom, le dieu des fils d'Ammon, et n'ont pas marché dans mes voies pour pratiquer ce qui est droit à mes yeux, et mes statuts et mes ordonnances, comme David, son père.
  
  34 Cependant je n'ôterai pas tout le royaume de sa main, car je l'établirai prince tous les jours de sa vie, à cause de David, mon serviteur, que j'ai choisi, qui gardait mes commandements et mes statuts ;
  
  35 mais j'ôterai le royaume de la main de son fils, et je te le donnerai, savoir dix tribus ;
  
  36 et je donnerai une tribu à son fils, afin qu'il y ait toujours une lampe pour David, mon serviteur, devant moi, à Jérusalem, la ville que je me suis choisie pour y placer mon nom.
  
  37 Et je te prendrai, et tu règneras sur tout ce que ton âme désire, et tu seras roi sur Israël.
  
  38 Et si tu écoutes tout ce que je te commanderai, et si tu marches dans mes voies et que tu fasses ce qui est droit à mes yeux, en gardant mes statuts et mes commandements, comme a fait David, mon serviteur, alors je serai avec toi, et je te bâtirai une maison stable, comme je l'ai bâtie pour David, et je te donnerai Israël.
  
  39 Et j'humilierai la semence de David, à cause de cela, seulement pas à toujours.
  
  40 Salomon chercha à faire mourir Jéroboam ; et Jéroboam se leva et s'enfuit en Égypte, vers Shishac, roi d'Égypte ; et il fut en Égypte jusqu'à la mort de Salomon.
  
  41 Et le reste des actes de Salomon, et tout ce qu'il fit, et sa sagesse, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des actes de Salomon ?
  
  42 Et les jours que Salomon régna à Jérusalem sur tout Israël furent quarante ans.
  
  43 Et Salomon s'endormit avec ses pères, et fut enterré dans la ville de David, son père ; et Roboam, son fils régna à la place.
  
  Ezéchiel 41
  
  1 Et il m'amena dans le temple ; et il mesura les piliers, six coudées en largeur deçà et six coudées en largeur delà, la largeur de la tente ;
  
  2 et la largeur de l'entrée, dix coudées, et les côtés de l'entrée, cinq coudées deçà et cinq coudées delà ; et il mesura sa longueur, quarante coudées, et la largeur, vingt coudées.
  
  3 Et il entra dans l'intérieur ; et il mesura le pilier de l'entrée, deux coudées, et l'entrée, six coudées, et la largeur de l'entrée, sept coudées.
  
  4 Et il mesura sa longueur, vingt coudées, et la largeur, vingt coudées, en face du temple. Et il me dit : C'est ici le lieu très-saint.
  
  5 Et il mesura le mur de la maison, six coudées ; et la largeur de chaque chambre latérale, quatre coudées, à l'entour de la maison, tout autour.
  
  6 Et les chambres latérales étaient, chambre sur chambre, au nombre de trois et cela trente fois ; et elles rentraient dans le mur qu'avait la maison vers les chambres latérales, tout autour, afin qu'elles y fussent appuyées ; mais elles n'étaient pas appuyées dans le mur de la maison.
  
  7 Et il y avait aux chambres latérales un élargissement, et il allait tournant toujours vers le haut, car l pourtour de la maison allait toujours vers le haut tout autour de la maison ; c'est pourquoi la largeur de la maison était plus grande vers le haut ; et ainsi la partie du bas montait à la partie du haut par la partie du milieu.
  
  8 Je vis aussi à la maison une élévation tout autour, -les fondations des chambres latérales, une pleine canne, six coudées jusqu'à la jonction.
  
  9 La largeur du mur qu'avaient les chambres latérales, en dehors, était de cinq coudées, comme aussi ce qui était laissé libre le long du bâtiment des chambres latérales qui étaient attenantes à la maison.
  
  10 Et entre les cellules et la maison il y avait une largeur de vingt coudées, autour de la maison, tout autour.
  
  11 Et l'entrée des chambres latérales était dans l'espace laissé libre, une entrée vers le nord, et une entrée vers le midi ; et la largeur de l'espace libre était de cinq coudées, tout autour.
  
  12 Et le bâtiment qui était devant la place séparée, du côté de l'occident, avait une largeur de soixante-dix coudées, et le mur du bâtiment avait cinq coudées d'épaisseur tout autour, et sa longueur était de quatre-vingt-dix coudées.
  
  13 Et il mesura la maison : la longueur, cent coudées ; et la place séparée, et le bâtiment, et ses murs, la longueur, cent coudées ;
  
  14 et la largeur du devant de la maison et de la place séparée, vers l'orient, cent coudées.
  
  15 Et il mesura la longueur du bâtiment devant la place séparée, sur le derrière, et ses galeries, deçà et delà, cent coudées ; et le temple intérieur, et les portiques du parvis.
  
  16 Les seuils, et les fenêtres fermées, et les galeries, à l'entour, -aux trois- (vis-à-vis des seuils il y avait une boiserie mince, tout autour, et depuis le sol jusqu'aux fenêtres, et les fenêtres étaient couvertes)
  
  17 et le dessus de l'entrée, et jusqu'à la maison intérieure, et au dehors, et tout le long du mur, tout autour, intérieurement et extérieurement, tout avait ses mesures.
  
  18 Et on y avait fait des chérubins et des palmiers, un palmier entre deux chérubins ; et le chérubin avait deux faces :
  
  19 une face d'homme vers le palmier, d'un côté, et une face de jeune lion vers le palmier, de l'autre côté ; on avait fait ainsi sur toute la maison, tout autour.
  
  20 Depuis le sol jusqu'au-dessus de l'entrée, on avait fait des chérubins et des palmiers, et sur le mur du temple.
  
  21 Les poteaux de la porte du temple étaient carrés, ainsi que ceux du devant du lieu saint : ils avaient le même aspect.
  
  22 L'autel de bois était haut de trois coudées, et sa longueur était de deux coudées ; et il avait ses angles ; et sa longueur et ses côtés étaient de bois. Et il me dit : C'est ici la table qui est devant l'Éternel.
  
  23 Et le temple et le lieu saint avaient deux portes.
  
  24 Et aux portes il y avait deux battants, deux battants tournants : deux à une porte, et deux battants à l'autre porte.
  
  25 Et sur elles, sur les portes du temple, on avait fait des chérubins et des palmiers, comme on les avait faits sur les murs. Et il y avait un entablement en bois sur la façade du portique, en dehors,
  
  26 et des fenêtres fermées, et des palmiers, deçà et delà, sur les côtés du portique et des chambres latérales de la maison et des entablements.
  
  Philippiens 2
  
  1 Si donc il y a quelque consolation en Christ, si quelque soulagement d'amour, si quelque communion de l'Esprit, si quelque tendresse et quelques compassions,
  
  2 rendez ma joie accomplie en ceci que vous ayez une même pensée, ayant un même amour, étant d'un même sentiment, pensant à une seule et même chose.
  
  3 Que rien ne se fasse par esprit de parti, ou par vaine gloire ; mais que, dans l'humilité, l'un estime l'autre supérieur à lui-même,
  
  4 chacun ne regardant pas à ce qui est à lui, mais chacun aussi à ce qui est aux autres.
  
  5 Qu'il y ait donc en vous cette pensée qui a été aussi dans le Christ Jésus,
  
  6 étant en forme de Dieu, n'a pas regardé comme un objet à ravir d'être égal à Dieu,
  
  7 mais s'est anéanti lui-même, prenant la forme d'esclave, étant fait à la ressemblance des hommes ;
  
  8 et, étant trouvé en figure comme un homme, il s'est abaissé lui-même, étant devenu obéissant jusqu'à la mort, et à la mort de la croix.
  
  9 C'est pourquoi aussi Dieu l'a haut élevé et lui a donné un nom au-dessus de tout nom,
  
  10 afin qu'au nom de Jésus se ploie tout genou des êtres célestes, et terrestres, et infernaux,
  
  11 et que toute langue confesse que Jésus Christ est Seigneur, à la gloire de Dieu le Père.
  
  12 Ainsi donc, mes bien-aimés, de même que vous avez toujours obéi, non seulement comme en ma présence, mais beaucoup plus maintenant en mon absence, travaillez à votre propre salut avec crainte et tremblement :
  
  13 car c'est Dieu qui opère en vous et le vouloir et le faire, selon son bon plaisir.
  
  14 Faites toutes choses sans murmures et sans raisonnements,
  
  15 afin que vous soyez sans reproche et purs, des enfants de Dieu irréprochables, au milieu d'une génération tortue et perverse, parmi laquelle vous reluisez comme des luminaires dans le monde,
  
  16 présentant la parole de vie, pour ma gloire au jour de Christ, en témoignage que je n'ai pas couru en vain ni travaillé en vain.
  
  17 Mais si même je sers d'aspersion sur le sacrifice et le service de votre foi, j'en suis joyeux et je m'en réjouis avec vous tous.
  
  18 Pareillement, vous aussi, soyez-en joyeux et réjouissez-vous-en avec moi.
  
  19 Or j'espère dans le Seigneur Jésus vous envoyer bientôt Timothée, afin que moi aussi j'aie bon courage quand j'aurai connu l'état de vos affaires ;
  
  20 car je n'ai personne qui soit animé d'un même sentiment avec moi pour avoir une sincère sollicitude à l'égard de ce qui vous concerne ;
  
  21 parce que tous cherchent leurs propres intérêts, non pas ceux de Jésus Christ.
  
  22 Mais vous savez qu'il a été connu à l'épreuve, savoir qu'il a servi avec moi dans l'évangile comme un enfant sert son père.
  
  23 J'espère donc l'envoyer incessamment, quand j'aurai vu la tournure que prendront mes affaires.
  
  24 Mais j'ai confiance dans le Seigneur que, moi-même aussi, j'irai vous voir bientôt ;
  
  25 mais j'ai estimé nécessaire de vous envoyer Épaphrodite mon frère, mon compagnon d'oeuvre et mon compagnon d'armes, mais votre envoyé et ministre pour mes besoins.
  
  26 Car il pensait à vous tous avec une vive affection, et il était fort abattu parce que vous aviez entendu dire qu'il était malade ;
  
  27 en effet il a été malade, fort près de la mort, mais Dieu a eu pitié de lui, et non seulement de lui, mais aussi de moi, afin que je n'eusse pas tristesse sur tristesse.
  
  28 Je l'ai donc envoyé avec d'autant plus d'empressement, afin qu'en le revoyant vous ayez de la joie, et que moi j'aie Moins de tristesse.
  
  29 Recevez-le donc dans le Seigneur avec toute sorte de joie, et honorez de tels hommes ;
  
  30 car, pour l'oeuvre, il a été proche de la mort, ayant exposé sa vie, afin de compléter ce qui manquait à votre service envers moi.

  1 Now king Solomon loved many foreign women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians, and Hittites;
  
  2 of the nations concerning which Yahweh said to the children of Israel, "You shall not go among them, neither shall they come among you; for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods." Solomon joined to these in love.
  
  3 He had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart.
  
  4 For it happened, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with Yahweh his God, as was the heart of David his father.
  
  5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
  
  6 Solomon did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and didn't go fully after Yahweh, as did David his father.
  
  7 Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the mountain that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
  
  8 So he did for all his foreign wives, who burnt incense and sacrificed to their gods.
  
  9 Yahweh was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned away from Yahweh, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
  
  10 and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he didn't keep that which Yahweh commanded.
  
  11 Therefore Yahweh said to Solomon, "Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
  
  12 Notwithstanding I will not do it in your days, for David your father's sake; but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.
  
  13 However I will not tear away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen."
  
  14 Yahweh raised up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king's seed in Edom.
  
  15 For it happened, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the army was gone up to bury the slain, and had struck every male in Edom
  
  16 (for Joab and all Israel remained there six months, until he had cut off every male in Edom);
  
  17 that Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt, Hadad being yet a little child.
  
  18 They arose out of Midian, and came to Paran; and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, to Pharaoh king of Egypt, who gave him a house, and appointed him food, and gave him land.
  
  19 Hadad found great favor in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him as wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
  
  20 The sister of Tahpenes bore him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house; and Genubath was in Pharaoh's house among the sons of Pharaoh.
  
  21 When Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the army was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, "Let me depart, that I may go to my own country."
  
  22 Then Pharaoh said to him, "But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you seek to go to your own country?" He answered, "Nothing, however only let me depart."
  
  23 God raised up an adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah.
  
  24 He gathered men to him, and became captain over a troop, when David killed them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and lived therein, and reigned in Damascus.
  
  25 He was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, besides the mischief of Hadad: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
  
  26 Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephraimite of Zeredah, a servant of Solomon, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow, he also lifted up his hand against the king.
  
  27 This was the reason why he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breach of the city of David his father.
  
  28 The man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor; and Solomon saw the young man that he was industrious, and he put him in charge of all the labor of the house of Joseph.
  
  29 It happened at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; now Ahijah had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field.
  
  30 Ahijah laid hold of the new garment that was on him, and tore it in twelve pieces.
  
  31 He said to Jeroboam, "Take ten pieces; for thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I will tear the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to you
  
  32 (but he shall have one tribe, for my servant David's sake and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel);
  
  33 because that they have forsaken me, and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon. They have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in my eyes, and to keep my statutes and my ordinances, as David his father did.
  
  34 "'However I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand; but I will make him prince all the days of his life, for David my servant's sake whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes;
  
  35 but I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it to you, even ten tribes.
  
  36 To his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a lamp always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
  
  37 I will take you, and you shall reign according to all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.
  
  38 It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.
  
  39 I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not forever.'"
  
  40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam; but Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, to Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
  
  41 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, aren't they written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
  
  42 The time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
  
  43 Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
  
  Ezéchiel 41
  
  1 He brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tent.
  
  2 The breadth of the entrance was ten cubits; and the sides of the entrance were five cubits on the one side, and five cubits on the other side: and he measured its length, forty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits.
  
  3 Then went he inward, and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the breadth of the entrance, seven cubits.
  
  4 He measured its length, twenty cubits, and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said to me, This is the most holy place.
  
  5 Then he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the breadth of every side room, four cubits, all around the house on every side.
  
  6 The side rooms were in three stories, one over another, and thirty in order; and they entered into the wall which belonged to the house for the side rooms all around, that they might have hold [therein], and not have hold in the wall of the house.
  
  7 The side rooms were broader as they encompassed [the house] higher and higher; for the encompassing of the house went higher and higher around the house: therefore the breadth of the house [continued] upward; and so one went up [from] the lowest [room] to the highest by the middle [room].
  
  8 I saw also that the house had a raised base all around: the foundations of the side rooms were a full reed of six great cubits.
  
  9 The thickness of the wall, which was for the side rooms, on the outside, was five cubits: and that which was left was the place of the side rooms that belonged to the house.
  
  10 Between the rooms was a breadth of twenty cubits around the house on every side.
  
  11 The doors of the side rooms were toward [the place] that was left, one door toward the north, and another door toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits all around.
  
  12 The building that was before the separate place at the side toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick all around, and its length ninety cubits.
  
  13 So he measured the house, one hundred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with its walls, one hundred cubits long;
  
  14 also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, one hundred cubits.
  
  15 He measured the length of the building before the separate place which was at its back, and its galleries on the one side and on the other side, one hundred cubits; and the inner temple, and the porches of the court;
  
  16 the thresholds, and the closed windows, and the galleries around on their three stories, over against the threshold, with wood ceilings all around, and [from] the ground up to the windows, (now the windows were covered),
  
  17 to [the space] above the door, even to the inner house, and outside, and by all the wall all around inside and outside, by measure.
  
  18 It was made with cherubim and palm trees; and a palm tree was between cherub and cherub, and every cherub had two faces;
  
  19 so that there was the face of a man toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side. [thus was it] made through all the house all around:
  
  20 from the ground to above the door were cherubim and palm trees made: thus was the wall of the temple.
  
  21 As for the temple, the door posts were squared; and as for the face of the sanctuary, the appearance [of it] was as the appearance [of the temple].
  
  22 The altar was of wood, three cubits high, and its length two cubits; and its corners, and its length, and its walls, were of wood: and he said to me, This is the table that is before Yahweh.
  
  23 The temple and the sanctuary had two doors.
  
  24 The doors had two leaves [apiece], two turning leaves: two [leaves] for the one door, and two leaves for the other.
  
  25 There were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubim and palm trees, like as were made on the walls; and there was a threshold of wood on the face of the porch outside.
  
  26 There were closed windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch: thus were the side rooms of the house, and the thresholds.

  1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,
  
  2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
  
  3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
  
  4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
  
  5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
  
  6 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
  
  7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
  
  8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
  
  9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;
  
  10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
  
  11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
  
  12 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
  
  13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.
  
  14 Do all things without murmurings and disputes,
  
  15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,
  
  16 holding up the word of life; that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn't run in vain nor labor in vain.
  
  17 Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.
  
  18 In the same way, you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.
  
  19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.
  
  20 For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.
  
  21 For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.
  
  22 But you know the proof of him, that, as a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.
  
  23 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.
  
  24 But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.
  
  25 But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need;
  
  26 since he longed for you all, and was very troubled, because you had heard that he was sick.
  
  27 For indeed he was sick, nearly to death, but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.
  
  28 I have sent him therefore the more diligently, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
  
  29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,
  
  30 because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.

  1 וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה אָהַ֞ב נָשִׁ֧ים נָכְרִיּ֛וֹת רַבּ֖וֹת וְאֶת־בַּת־פַּרְעֹ֑ה מוֹאֲבִיּ֤וֹת עַמֳּנִיּוֹת֙ אֲדֹ֣מִיֹּ֔ת צֵדְנִיֹּ֖ת חִתִּיֹּֽת׃

  9 וַיִּתְאַנַּ֥ף יְהוָ֖ה בִּשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה כִּֽי־נָטָ֣ה לְבָב֗וֹ מֵעִ֤ם יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הַנִּרְאָ֥ה אֵלָ֖יו פַּעֲמָֽיִם׃
  
  10 וְצִוָּ֤ה אֵלָיו֙ עַל־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה לְבִ֨לְתִּי־לֶ֔כֶת אַחֲרֵ֖י אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים וְלֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔ר אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖ה יְהוָֽה׃
  
  11 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה יַ֚עַן אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָֽיְתָה־זֹּ֣את עִמָּ֔ךְ וְלֹ֤א שָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙ בְּרִיתִ֣י וְחֻקֹּתַ֔י אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּ֖יתִי עָלֶ֑יךָ קָרֹ֨עַ אֶקְרַ֤ע אֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ מֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָ וּנְתַתִּ֖יהָ לְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃
  
  12 אַךְ־בְּיָמֶ֙יךָ֙ לֹ֣א אֶעֱשֶׂ֔נָּה לְמַ֖עַן דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֑יךָ מִיַּ֥ד בִּנְךָ֖ אֶקְרָעֶֽנָּה׃
  
  13 רַ֤ק אֶת־כָּל־הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ לֹ֣א אֶקְרָ֔ע שֵׁ֥בֶט אֶחָ֖ד אֶתֵּ֣ן לִבְנֶ֑ךָ לְמַ֙עַן֙ דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֔י וּלְמַ֥עַן יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּחָֽרְתִּי׃
  
  14 וַיָּ֨קֶם יְהוָ֤ה שָׂטָן֙ לִשְׁלֹמֹ֔ה אֵ֖ת הֲדַ֣ד הָאֲדֹמִ֑י מִזֶּ֧רַע הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ ה֖וּא בֶּאֱדֽוֹם׃
  
  15 וַיְהִ֗י בִּֽהְי֤וֹת דָּוִד֙ אֶת־אֱד֔וֹם בַּעֲל֗וֹת יוֹאָב֙ שַׂ֣ר הַצָּבָ֔א לְקַבֵּ֖ר אֶת־הַחֲלָלִ֑ים וַיַּ֥ךְ כָּל־זָכָ֖ר בֶּאֱדֽוֹם׃

  17 וַיִּבְרַ֣ח אֲדַ֡ד הוּא֩ וַאֲנָשִׁ֨ים אֲדֹמִיִּ֜ים מֵעַבְדֵ֥י אָבִ֛יו אִתּ֖וֹ לָב֣וֹא מִצְרָ֑יִם וַהֲדַ֖ד נַ֥עַר קָטָֽן׃
  
  18 וַיָּקֻ֙מוּ֙ מִמִּדְיָ֔ן וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ פָּארָ֑ן וַיִּקְחוּ֩ אֲנָשִׁ֨ים עִמָּ֜ם מִפָּארָ֗ן וַיָּבֹ֤אוּ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֣ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֔יִם וַיִּתֶּן־ל֣וֹ בַ֗יִת וְלֶ֙חֶם֙ אָ֣מַר ל֔וֹ וְאֶ֖רֶץ נָ֥תַן לֽוֹ׃
  
  19 וַיִּמְצָא֙ הֲדַ֥ד חֵ֛ן בְּעֵינֵ֥י פַרְעֹ֖ה מְאֹ֑ד וַיִּתֶּן־ל֤וֹ אִשָּׁה֙ אֶת־אֲח֣וֹת אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ אֲח֖וֹת תַּחְפְּנֵ֥יס הַגְּבִירָֽה׃

  21 וַהֲדַ֞ד שָׁמַ֣ע בְּמִצְרַ֗יִם כִּֽי־שָׁכַ֤ב דָּוִד֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וְכִי־מֵ֖ת יוֹאָ֣ב שַֽׂר־הַצָּבָ֑א וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הֲדַד֙ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה שַׁלְּחֵ֖נִי וְאֵלֵ֥ךְ אֶל־אַרְצִֽי׃

  25 וַיְהִ֨י שָׂטָ֤ן לְיִשְׂרָאֵל֙ כָּל־יְמֵ֣י שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וְאֶת־הָרָעָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֲדָ֑ד וַיָּ֙קָץ֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּמְלֹ֖ךְ עַל־אֲרָֽם׃
  
  26 וְיָרָבְעָם֩ בֶּן־נְבָ֨ט אֶפְרָתִ֜י מִן־הַצְּרֵדָ֗ה וְשֵׁ֤ם אִמּוֹ֙ צְרוּעָה֙ אִשָּׁ֣ה אַלְמָנָ֔ה עֶ֖בֶד לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה וַיָּ֥רֶם יָ֖ד בַּמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
  
  27 וְזֶ֣ה הַדָּבָ֔ר אֲשֶׁר־הֵרִ֥ים יָ֖ד בַּמֶּ֑לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה֙ בָּנָ֣ה אֶת־הַמִּלּ֔וֹא סָגַ֕ר אֶת־פֶּ֕רֶץ עִ֖יר דָּוִ֥ד אָבִֽיו׃
  
  28 וְהָאִ֥ישׁ יָרָבְעָ֖ם גִּבּ֣וֹר חָ֑יִל וַיַּ֨רְא שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת־הַנַּ֗עַר כִּֽי־עֹשֵׂ֤ה מְלָאכָה֙ ה֔וּא וַיַּפְקֵ֣ד אֹת֔וֹ לְכָל־סֵ֖בֶל בֵּ֥ית יוֹסֵֽף׃
  
  29 וַֽיְהִי֙ בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֔יא וְיָֽרָבְעָ֖ם יָצָ֣א מִירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וַיִּמְצָ֣א אֹת֡וֹ אֲחִיָּה֩ הַשִּׁילֹנִ֨י הַנָּבִ֜יא בַּדֶּ֗רֶךְ וְה֤וּא מִתְכַּסֶּה֙ בְּשַׂלְמָ֣ה חֲדָשָׁ֔ה וּשְׁנֵיהֶ֥ם לְבַדָּ֖ם בַּשָּׂדֶֽה׃
  
  30 וַיִּתְפֹּ֣שׂ אֲחִיָּ֔ה בַּשַּׂלְמָ֥ה הַחֲדָשָׁ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלָ֑יו וַיִּ֨קְרָעֶ֔הָ שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָׂ֖ר קְרָעִֽים׃
  
  31 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְיָֽרָבְעָ֔ם קַח־לְךָ֖ עֲשָׂרָ֣ה קְרָעִ֑ים כִּ֣י כֹה֩ אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הִנְנִ֨י קֹרֵ֤עַ אֶת־הַמַּמְלָכָה֙ מִיַּ֣ד שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה וְנָתַתִּ֣י לְךָ֔ אֵ֖ת עֲשָׂרָ֥ה הַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃
  
  32 וְהַשֵּׁ֥בֶט הָאֶחָ֖ד יִֽהְיֶה־לּ֑וֹ לְמַ֣עַן ׀ עַבְדִּ֣י דָוִ֗ד וּלְמַ֙עַן֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחַ֣רְתִּי בָ֔הּ מִכֹּ֖ל שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  33 יַ֣עַן ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עֲזָב֗וּנִי וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ֮ לְעַשְׁתֹּרֶת֮ אֱלֹהֵ֣י צִֽדֹנִין֒ לִכְמוֹשׁ֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י מוֹאָ֔ב וּלְמִלְכֹּ֖ם אֱלֹהֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֑וֹן וְלֹֽא־הָלְכ֣וּ בִדְרָכַ֗י לַעֲשׂ֨וֹת הַיָּשָׁ֧ר בְּעֵינַ֛י וְחֻקֹּתַ֥י וּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י כְּדָוִ֥ד אָבִֽיו׃
  
  34 וְלֹֽא־אֶקַּ֥ח אֶת־כָּל־הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה מִיָּד֑וֹ כִּ֣י ׀ נָשִׂ֣יא אֲשִׁתֶ֗נּוּ כֹּ֚ל יְמֵ֣י חַיָּ֔יו לְמַ֨עַן דָּוִ֤ד עַבְדִּי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחַ֣רְתִּי אֹת֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמַ֖ר מִצְוֺתַ֥י וְחֻקֹּתָֽי׃
  
  35 וְלָקַחְתִּ֥י הַמְּלוּכָ֖ה מִיַּ֣ד בְּנ֑וֹ וּנְתַתִּ֣יהָ לְּךָ֔ אֵ֖ת עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת הַשְּׁבָטִֽים׃
  
  36 וְלִבְנ֖וֹ אֶתֵּ֣ן שֵֽׁבֶט־אֶחָ֑ד לְמַ֣עַן הֱיֽוֹת־נִ֣יר לְדָֽוִיד־עַ֠בְדִּי כָּֽל־הַיָּמִ֤ים ׀ לְפָנַי֙ בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּחַ֣רְתִּי לִ֔י לָשׂ֥וּם שְׁמִ֖י שָֽׁם׃
  
  37 וְאֹתְךָ֣ אֶקַּ֔ח וּמָ֣לַכְתָּ֔ בְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־תְּאַוֶּ֖ה נַפְשֶׁ֑ךָ וְהָיִ֥יתָ מֶּ֖לֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  38 וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־תִּשְׁמַע֮ אֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֲצַוֶּךָ֒ וְהָלַכְתָּ֣ בִדְרָכַ֗י וְעָשִׂ֨יתָ הַיָּשָׁ֤ר בְּעֵינַי֙ לִשְׁמ֤וֹר חֻקּוֹתַי֙ וּמִצְוֺתַ֔י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדִּ֑י וְהָיִ֣יתִי עִמָּ֗ךְ וּבָנִ֨יתִי לְךָ֤ בַֽיִת־נֶאֱמָן֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנִ֣יתִי לְדָוִ֔ד וְנָתַתִּ֥י לְךָ֖ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

  2 וְרֹ֣חַב הַפֶּתַח֮ עֶ֣שֶׂר אַמּוֹת֒ וְכִתְפ֣וֹת הַפֶּ֔תַח חָמֵ֤שׁ אַמּוֹת֙ מִפּ֔וֹ וְחָמֵ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת מִפּ֑וֹ וַיָּ֤מָד אָרְכּוֹ֙ אַרְבָּעִ֣ים אַמָּ֔ה וְרֹ֖חַב עֶשְׂרִ֥ים אַמָּֽה׃
  
  3 וּבָ֣א לִפְנִ֔ימָה וַיָּ֥מָד אֵֽיל־הַפֶּ֖תַח שְׁתַּ֣יִם אַמּ֑וֹת וְהַפֶּ֙תַח֙ שֵׁ֣שׁ אַמּ֔וֹת וְרֹ֥חַב הַפֶּ֖תַח שֶׁ֥בַע אַמּֽוֹת׃
  
  4 וַיָּ֨מָד אֶת־אָרְכּ֜וֹ עֶשְׂרִ֣ים אַמָּ֗ה וְרֹ֛חַב עֶשְׂרִ֥ים אַמָּ֖ה אֶל־פְּנֵ֣י הַֽהֵיכָ֑ל וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֔י זֶ֖ה קֹ֥דֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִֽׁים׃
  
  5 וַיָּ֥מָד קִֽיר־הַבַּ֖יִת שֵׁ֣שׁ אַמּ֑וֹת וְרֹ֣חַב הַצֵּלָע֩ אַרְבַּ֨ע אַמּ֜וֹת סָבִ֧יב ׀ סָבִ֛יב לַבַּ֖יִת סָבִֽיב׃
  
  6 וְהַצְּלָעוֹת֩ צֵלָ֨ע אֶל־צֵלָ֜ע שָׁל֧וֹשׁ וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים פְּעָמִ֗ים וּ֠בָאוֹת בַּקִּ֨יר אֲשֶׁר־לַבַּ֧יִת לַצְּלָע֛וֹת סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִ֖יב לִהְי֣וֹת אֲחוּזִ֑ים וְלֹֽא־יִהְי֥וּ אֲחוּזִ֖ים בְּקִ֥יר הַבָּֽיִת׃
  
  7 וְֽרָחֲבָ֡ה וְֽנָסְבָה֩ לְמַ֨עְלָה לְמַ֜עְלָה לַצְּלָע֗וֹת כִּ֣י מֽוּסַב־הַ֠בַּיִת לְמַ֨עְלָה לְמַ֜עְלָה סָבִ֤יב ׀ סָבִיב֙ לַבַּ֔יִת עַל־כֵּ֥ן רֹֽחַב־לַבַּ֖יִת לְמָ֑עְלָה וְכֵ֧ן הַתַּחְתּוֹנָ֛ה יַעֲלֶ֥ה עַל־הָעֶלְיוֹנָ֖ה לַתִּיכוֹנָֽה׃
  
  8 וְרָאִ֧יתִי לַבַּ֛יִת גֹּ֖בַהּ סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב *מיסדות **מוּסְד֤וֹת הַצְּלָעוֹת֙ מְל֣וֹ הַקָּנֶ֔ה שֵׁ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת אַצִּֽילָה׃
  
  9 רֹ֣חַב הַקִּ֧יר אֲ‍ֽשֶׁר־לַצֵּלָ֛ע אֶל־הַח֖וּץ חָמֵ֣שׁ אַמּ֑וֹת וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר מֻנָּ֔ח בֵּ֥ית צְלָע֖וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר לַבָּֽיִת׃
  
  10 וּבֵ֨ין הַלְּשָׁכ֜וֹת רֹ֣חַב עֶשְׂרִ֥ים אַמָּ֛ה סָבִ֥יב לַבַּ֖יִת סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִֽיב׃
  
  11 וּפֶ֤תַח הַצֵּלָע֙ לַמֻּנָּ֔ח פֶּ֤תַח אֶחָד֙ דֶּ֣רֶךְ הַצָּפ֔וֹן וּפֶ֥תַח אֶחָ֖ד לַדָּר֑וֹם וְרֹ֙חַב֙ מְק֣וֹם הַמֻּנָּ֔ח חָמֵ֥שׁ אַמּ֖וֹת סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִֽיב׃
  
  12 וְהַבִּנְיָ֡ן אֲשֶׁר֩ אֶל־פְּנֵ֨י הַגִּזְרָ֜ה פְּאַ֣ת דֶּֽרֶךְ־הַיָּ֗ם רֹ֚חַב שִׁבְעִ֣ים אַמָּ֔ה וְקִ֧יר הַבִּנְיָ֛ן חָֽמֵשׁ־אַמּ֥וֹת רֹ֖חַב סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב וְאָרְכּ֖וֹ תִּשְׁעִ֥ים אַמָּֽה׃
  
  13 וּמָדַ֣ד אֶת־הַבַּ֔יִת אֹ֖רֶךְ מֵאָ֣ה אַמָּ֑ה וְהַגִּזְרָ֤ה וְהַבִּנְיָה֙ וְקִ֣ירוֹתֶ֔יהָ אֹ֖רֶךְ מֵאָ֥ה אַמָּֽה׃
  
  14 וְרֹחַב֩ פְּנֵ֨י הַבַּ֧יִת וְהַגִּזְרָ֛ה לַקָּדִ֖ים מֵאָ֥ה אַמָּֽה׃
  
  15 וּמָדַ֣ד אֹֽרֶךְ־הַ֠בִּנְיָן אֶל־פְּנֵ֨י הַגִּזְרָ֜ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר עַל־אַחֲרֶ֧יהָ *ואתוקיהא **וְאַתִּיקֶ֛יהָא מִפּ֥וֹ וּמִפּ֖וֹ מֵאָ֣ה אַמָּ֑ה וְהַֽהֵיכָל֙ הַפְּנִימִ֔י וְאֻֽלַמֵּ֖י הֶחָצֵֽר׃
  
  16 הַסִּפִּ֡ים וְהַחַלּוֹנִ֣ים הָ֠אֲטֻמוֹת וְהָאַתִּיקִ֤ים ׀ סָבִיב֙ לִשְׁלָשְׁתָּ֔ם נֶ֧גֶד הַסַּ֛ף שְׂחִ֥יף עֵ֖ץ סָבִ֣יב ׀ סָבִ֑יב וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ עַד־הַֽחַלֹּנ֔וֹת וְהַֽחַלֹּנ֖וֹת מְכֻסּֽוֹת׃
  
  17 עַל־מֵעַ֣ל הַפֶּ֡תַח וְעַד־הַבַּיִת֩ הַפְּנִימִ֨י וְלַח֜וּץ וְאֶל־כָּל־הַקִּ֨יר סָבִ֧יב ׀ סָבִ֛יב בַּפְּנִימִ֥י וּבַחִיצ֖וֹן מִדּֽוֹת׃
  
  18 וְעָשׂ֥וּי כְּרוּבִ֖ים וְתִֽמֹרִ֑ים וְתִֽמֹרָה֙ בֵּין־כְּר֣וּב לִכְר֔וּב וּשְׁנַ֥יִם פָּנִ֖ים לַכְּרֽוּב׃
  
  19 וּפְנֵ֨י אָדָ֤ם אֶל־הַתִּֽמֹרָה֙ מִפּ֔וֹ וּפְנֵֽי־כְפִ֥יר אֶל־הַתִּֽמֹרָ֖ה מִפּ֑וֹ עָשׂ֥וּי אֶל־כָּל־הַבַּ֖יִת סָבִ֥יב ׀ סָבִֽיב׃
  
  20 מֵהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ עַד־מֵעַ֣ל הַפֶּ֔תַח הַכְּרוּבִ֥ים וְהַתִּֽמֹרִ֖ים עֲשׂוּיִ֑ם וְקִ֖יר הַׄהֵׄיׄכָֽׄלׄ׃
  
  21 הַֽהֵיכָ֖ל מְזוּזַ֣ת רְבֻעָ֑ה וּפְנֵ֣י הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה כַּמַּרְאֶֽה׃
  
  22 הַמִּזְבֵּ֡חַ עֵ֣ץ שָׁלוֹשׁ֩ אַמּ֨וֹת גָּבֹ֜הַּ וְאָרְכּ֣וֹ שְׁתַּֽיִם־אַמּ֗וֹת וּמִקְצֹֽעוֹתָיו֙ ל֔וֹ וְאָרְכּ֥וֹ וְקִֽירֹתָ֖יו עֵ֑ץ וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלַ֔י זֶ֚ה הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֖ר לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
  
  23 וּשְׁתַּ֧יִם דְּלָת֛וֹת לַֽהֵיכָ֖ל וְלַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃
  
  24 וּשְׁתַּ֥יִם דְּלָת֖וֹת לַדְּלָת֑וֹת שְׁ֚תַּיִם מוּסַבּ֣וֹת דְּלָת֔וֹת שְׁ֚תַּיִם לְדֶ֣לֶת אֶחָ֔ת וּשְׁתֵּ֥י דְלָת֖וֹת לָאַחֶֽרֶת׃
  
  25 וַעֲשׂוּיָ֨ה אֲלֵיהֶ֜ן אֶל־דַּלְת֤וֹת הַֽהֵיכָל֙ כְּרוּבִ֣ים וְתִֽמֹרִ֔ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲשׂוּיִ֖ם לַקִּיר֑וֹת וְעָ֥ב עֵ֛ץ אֶל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאוּלָ֖ם מֵהַחֽוּץ׃
  
  26 וְחַלּוֹנִ֨ים אֲטֻמ֤וֹת וְתִֽמֹרִים֙ מִפּ֣וֹ וּמִפּ֔וֹ אֶל־כִּתְפ֖וֹת הָֽאוּלָ֑ם וְצַלְע֥וֹת הַבַּ֖יִת וְהָעֻבִּֽים׃

  1 Εἴ τις οὖν παράκλησις ἐν Χριστῷ, εἴ τι παραμύθιον ἀγάπης, εἴ τις κοινωνία πνεύματος, εἴ τις σπλάγχνα καὶ οἰκτιρμοί,
  
  2 πληρώσατέ μου τὴν χαρὰν ἵνα τὸ αὐτὸ φρονῆτε, τὴν αὐτὴν ἀγάπην ἔχοντες, σύμψυχοι, τὸ ἓν φρονοῦντες,
  
  3 μηδὲν κατ’ ἐριθείαν μηδὲ κατὰ κενοδοξίαν, ἀλλὰ τῇ ταπεινοφροσύνῃ ἀλλήλους ἡγούμενοι ὑπερέχοντας ἑαυτῶν,
  
  4 μὴ τὰ ἑαυτῶν ἕκαστοι σκοποῦντες, ἀλλὰ καὶ τὰ ἑτέρων ἕκαστοι.
  
  5 τοῦτο φρονεῖτε ἐν ὑμῖν ὃ καὶ ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ,
  
  6 ὃς ἐν μορφῇ θεοῦ ὑπάρχων οὐχ ἁρπαγμὸν ἡγήσατο τὸ εἶναι ἴσα θεῷ,
  
  7 ἀλλὰ ἑαυτὸν ἐκένωσεν μορφὴν δούλου λαβών, ἐν ὁμοιώματι ἀνθρώπων γενόμενος· καὶ σχήματι εὑρεθεὶς ὡς ἄνθρωπος
  
  8 ἐταπείνωσεν ἑαυτὸν γενόμενος ὑπήκοος μέχρι θανάτου, θανάτου δὲ σταυροῦ·
  
  9 διὸ καὶ ὁ θεὸς αὐτὸν ὑπερύψωσεν, καὶ ἐχαρίσατο αὐτῷ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα,
  
  10 ἵνα ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ πᾶν γόνυ κάμψῃ ἐπουρανίων καὶ ἐπιγείων καὶ καταχθονίων,
  
  11 καὶ πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσηται ὅτι κύριος Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς εἰς δόξαν θεοῦ πατρός.
  
  12 Ὥστε, ἀγαπητοί μου, καθὼς πάντοτε ὑπηκούσατε, μὴ ὡς ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ μου μόνον ἀλλὰ νῦν πολλῷ μᾶλλον ἐν τῇ ἀπουσίᾳ μου, μετὰ φόβου καὶ τρόμου τὴν ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίαν κατεργάζεσθε,
  
  13 θεὸς γάρ ἐστιν ὁ ἐνεργῶν ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ τὸ θέλειν καὶ τὸ ἐνεργεῖν ὑπὲρ τῆς εὐδοκίας.
  
  14 Πάντα ποιεῖτε χωρὶς γογγυσμῶν καὶ διαλογισμῶν,
  
  15 ἵνα γένησθε ἄμεμπτοι καὶ ἀκέραιοι, τέκνα θεοῦ ἄμωμα μέσον γενεᾶς σκολιᾶς καὶ διεστραμμένης, ἐν οἷς φαίνεσθε ὡς φωστῆρες ἐν κόσμῳ
  
  16 λόγον ζωῆς ἐπέχοντες, εἰς καύχημα ἐμοὶ εἰς ἡμέραν Χριστοῦ, ὅτι οὐκ εἰς κενὸν ἔδραμον οὐδὲ εἰς κενὸν ἐκοπίασα.
  
  17 ἀλλὰ εἰ καὶ σπένδομαι ἐπὶ τῇ θυσίᾳ καὶ λειτουργίᾳ τῆς πίστεως ὑμῶν, χαίρω καὶ συγχαίρω πᾶσιν ὑμῖν·
  
  18 τὸ δὲ αὐτὸ καὶ ὑμεῖς χαίρετε καὶ συγχαίρετέ μοι.
  
  19 Ἐλπίζω δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ Τιμόθεον ταχέως πέμψαι ὑμῖν, ἵνα κἀγὼ εὐψυχῶ γνοὺς τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν.
  
  20 οὐδένα γὰρ ἔχω ἰσόψυχον ὅστις γνησίως τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν μεριμνήσει,
  
  21 οἱ πάντες γὰρ τὰ ἑαυτῶν ζητοῦσιν, οὐ τὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ.
  
  22 τὴν δὲ δοκιμὴν αὐτοῦ γινώσκετε, ὅτι ὡς πατρὶ τέκνον σὺν ἐμοὶ ἐδούλευσεν εἰς τὸ εὐαγγέλιον.
  
  23 τοῦτον μὲν οὖν ἐλπίζω πέμψαι ὡς ἂν ἀφίδω τὰ περὶ ἐμὲ ἐξαυτῆς·
  
  24 πέποιθα δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ ὅτι καὶ αὐτὸς ταχέως ἐλεύσομαι.
  
  25 Ἀναγκαῖον δὲ ἡγησάμην Ἐπαφρόδιτον τὸν ἀδελφὸν καὶ συνεργὸν καὶ συστρατιώτην μου, ὑμῶν δὲ ἀπόστολον καὶ λειτουργὸν τῆς χρείας μου, πέμψαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς,
  
  26 ἐπειδὴ ἐπιποθῶν ἦν πάντας ὑμᾶς, καὶ ἀδημονῶν διότι ἠκούσατε ὅτι ἠσθένησεν.
  
  27 καὶ γὰρ ἠσθένησεν παραπλήσιον θανάτῳ· ἀλλὰ ὁ θεὸς ἠλέησεν αὐτόν, οὐκ αὐτὸν δὲ μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐμέ, ἵνα μὴ λύπην ἐπὶ λύπην σχῶ.
  
  28 σπουδαιοτέρως οὖν ἔπεμψα αὐτὸν ἵνα ἰδόντες αὐτὸν πάλιν χαρῆτε κἀγὼ ἀλυπότερος ὦ.
  
  29 προσδέχεσθε οὖν αὐτὸν ἐν κυρίῳ μετὰ πάσης χαρᾶς, καὶ τοὺς τοιούτους ἐντίμους ἔχετε,
  
  30 ὅτι διὰ τὸ ἔργον Χριστοῦ μέχρι θανάτου ἤγγισεν, παραβολευσάμενος τῇ ψυχῇ ἵνα ἀναπληρώσῃ τὸ ὑμῶν ὑστέρημα τῆς πρός με λειτουργίας.
