- 1 Rois 14
  
  1 Dans ce temps-là, Abija, fils de Jéroboam, fut malade.
  
  2 Et Jéroboam dit à sa femme : Lève-toi, je te prie, et déguise-toi, et qu'on ne sache pas que tu es la femme de Jéroboam, et va-t'en à Silo ; voici, là est Akhija, le prophète, qui a dit de moi que je serais roi sur ce peuple.
  
  3 Et tu prendras avec toi dix pains, et des gâteaux, et une cruche de miel, et tu iras vers lui ; il te dira ce qui arrivera à l'enfant.
  
  4 Et la femme de Jéroboam fit ainsi, et elle se leva et s'en alla à Silo, et vint à la maison d'Akhija. Et Akhija ne pouvait voir, car ses yeux étaient fixes à cause de son âge.
  
  5 Et l'Éternel dit à Akhija : Voici, la femme de Jéroboam vient te demander quelque chose au sujet de son fils, car il est malade ; tu lui diras ainsi et ainsi ; et il arrivera, quand elle viendra, qu'elle feindra d'être une autre.
  
  6 Et il arriva, quand Akhija entendit le bruit de ses pieds, que, comme elle entrait par la porte, il dit : Entre, femme de Jéroboam, pourquoi feins-tu d'être une autre ? Or je suis envoyé vers toi pour t'annoncer des choses dures.
  
  7 Va, dis à Jéroboam : Ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Parce que je t'ai élevé du milieu du peuple, et que je t'ai établi prince sur mon peuple Israël,
  
  8 et que j'ai arraché le royaume de la maison de David, et que je te l'ai donné, et que tu n'as pas été comme mon serviteur David, qui gardait mes commandements et marchait après moi de tout son coeur pour ne faire que ce qui est droit à mes yeux,
  
  9 mais que tu as fait ce qui est mauvais, plus que tous ceux qui ont été avant toi, et que tu es allé et t'es fait d'autres dieux et des images de fonte pour me provoquer à colère, et que tu m'as jeté derrière ton dos,...
  
  10 à cause de cela, voici, je vais faire venir du mal sur la maison de Jéroboam, et je retrancherai de Jéroboam tous les mâles, l'homme lié et l'homme libre en Israël, et j'ôterai la maison de Jéroboam comme on ôte le fumier, jusqu'à ce qu'il n'en reste plus rien.
  
  11 Celui de la maison de Jéroboam qui mourra dans la ville, les chiens le mangeront, et celui qui mourra dans les champs, les oiseaux des cieux le mangeront, car l'Éternel a parlé.
  
  12 Et toi, lève-toi, va-t'en dans ta maison : quand tes pieds entreront dans la ville, l'enfant mourra.
  
  13 Et tout Israël mènera deuil sur lui et l'enterrera ; car celui-ci seul, de la maison de Jéroboam, entrera dans le sépulcre, parce qu'en lui seul, dans la maison de Jéroboam, a été trouvé quelque chose d'agréable à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël.
  
  14 Et l'Éternel suscitera pour lui-même un roi sur Israël, qui retranchera la maison de Jéroboam ce jour-là ;... mais quoi ?... déjà maintenant !
  
  15 Et l'Éternel frappera Israël comme quand le roseau est agité dans les eaux ; et il arrachera Israël de dessus cette bonne terre qu'il donna à leurs pères, et il les dispersera au delà du fleuve, parce qu'ils se sont fait des ashères, provoquant l'Éternel à la colère.
  
  16 Et il livrera Israël à cause des péchés de Jéroboam, qu'il a commis et par lesquels il a fait pécher Israël.
  
  17 Et la femme de Jéroboam se leva et s'en alla, et vint à Thirtsa : comme elle arrivait sur le seuil de la maison, l'enfant mourut.
  
  18 Et on l'enterra, et tout Israël mena deuil sur lui, selon la parole de l'Éternel, qu'il avait dite par son serviteur Akhija, le prophète.
  
  19 Et le reste des actes de Jéroboam, comment il fit la guerre, et comment il régna, voici, cela est écrit dans le livre des chroniques des rois d'Israël.
  
  20 Et les jours que Jéroboam régna furent vingt-deux ans. Et il s'endormit avec ses pères, et Nadab, son fils, régna à sa place.
  
  21 Et Roboam, fils de Salomon, régna sur Juda. Roboam était âgé de quarante et un ans lorsqu'il commença de régner ; et il régna dix-sept ans à Jérusalem, la ville que l'Éternel avait choisie d'entre toutes les tribus d'Israël pour y mettre son nom ; et le nom de sa mère était Naama, une Ammonite.
  
  22 Et Juda fit ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel ; et ils le provoquèrent à la jalousie plus que tout ce que leurs pères avaient fait par leurs péchés qu'ils commirent.
  
  23 Et ils bâtirent, eux aussi, pour eux-mêmes, des hauts lieux, et des statues, et des ashères, sur toute haute colline et sous tout arbre vert ;
  
  24 il y avait aussi dans le pays des hommes voués à la prostitution. Ils firent selon toutes les abominations des nations que l'Éternel avait dépossédées devant les fils d'Israël.
  
  25 Et il arriva, en la cinquième année du roi Roboam, que Shishak, roi d'Égypte, monta contre Jérusalem.
  
  26 Et il prit les trésors de la maison de l'Éternel et les trésors de la maison du roi : il prit tout. Et il prit tous les boucliers d'or que Salomon avait faits.
  
  27 Et le roi Roboam fit à leur place des boucliers d'airain, et les confia aux mains des chefs des coureurs qui gardaient l'entrée de la maison du roi.
  
  28 Et toutes les fois que le roi entrait dans la maison de l'Éternel, il arrivait que les coureurs les portaient, puis ils les rapportaient dans la chambre des coureurs.
  
  29 Et le reste des actes de Roboam, et tout ce qu'il fit, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des chroniques des rois de Juda ?
  
  30 Et il y eut guerre entre Roboam et Jéroboam, tous leurs jours.
  
  31 Et Roboam s'endormit avec ses pères dans la ville de David ; et le nom de sa mère était Naama, une Ammonite. Et Abijam, son fils, régna à sa place.
  
  Ezéchiel 44
  
  1 Et il me fit retourner vers la porte extérieure du sanctuaire, qui regardait vers l'orient, et elle était fermée.
  
  2 Et l'Éternel me dit : Cette porte sera fermée ; elle ne sera pas ouverte, et personne n'entrera par elle ; car l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, est entré par elle ; et elle sera fermée.
  
  3 Quant au prince, le prince, lui, y sera assis pour manger le pain devant l'Éternel. Il entrera par le chemin du portique de cette porte, et il sortira par le même chemin.
  
  4 Et il m'amena par la porte du nord, devant la maison ; et je vis, et voici, la gloire de l'Éternel remplissait la maison de l'Éternel ; et je tombai sur ma face.
  
  5 Et l'Éternel me dit : Fils d'homme, applique ton coeur et regarde de tes yeux, et écoute de tes oreilles tout ce que je te dis concernant toutes les ordonnances de la maison de l'Éternel et toutes ses lois ; et applique ton coeur à considérer l'entrée de la maison, ainsi que toutes les issues du sanctuaire ;
  
  6 et dis aux rebelles, à la maison d'Israël : Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : C'en est assez de toutes vos abominations, maison d'Israël,
  
  7 que vous ayez amené les fils de l'étranger, incirconcis de coeur et incirconcis de chair, pour qu'ils fussent dans mon sanctuaire, -ma maison, -pour le profaner quand vous avez présenté mon pain, la graisse et le sang ; et ils ont rompu mon alliance par toutes vos abominations !
  
  8 Et vous n'avez pas vaqué au service de mes choses saintes, mais vous avez établi pour vous des étrangers pour vaquer à mon service dans mon sanctuaire.
  
  9 Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : Aucun étranger, incirconcis de coeur et incirconcis de chair, n'entrera dans mon sanctuaire, d'entre tous les étrangers qui sont au milieu des fils d'Israël.
  
  10 Mais les Lévites, qui se sont éloignés de moi dans les égarements d'Israël par lesquels ils se sont égarés d'auprès de moi en allant après leurs idoles, porteront leur iniquité,
  
  11 mais ils serviront dans mon sanctuaire comme gardes aux portes de la maison, et feront le service de la maison ; ils égorgeront pour le peuple l'holocauste et le sacrifice, et ils se tiendront devant eux pour les servir.
  
  12 Parce qu'ils les ont servis devant leurs idoles, et ont été à la maison d'Israël une pierre d'achoppement pour l'iniquité, à cause de cela j'ai levé ma main contre eux, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel : ils porteront leur iniquité !
  
  13 Et ils ne s'approcheront pas de moi pour exercer la sacrificature devant moi, ni pour s'approcher de toutes mes choses saintes, dans ce qui concerne les choses très-saintes ; et ils porteront leur ignominie, et leurs abominations qu'ils ont commises.
  
  14 Et je les établirai pour faire l'acquit de la charge de la maison, pour tout son service, et pour tout ce qui y sera fait.
  
  15 Mais les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, fils de Tsadok, qui ont fait l'acquit de la charge de mon sanctuaire, quand les fils d'Israël se sont égarés d'auprès de moi, eux s'approcheront de moi pour faire mon service, et se tiendront devant moi, pour me présenter la graisse et le sang, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
  
  16 Eux entreront dans mon sanctuaire, et eux s'approcheront de ma table pour faire mon service, et ils feront l'acquit de la charge que je leur confie.
  
  17 Et il arrivera que, quand ils entreront dans les portes du parvis intérieur, ils se revêtiront de vêtements de lin, et ils ne porteront pas de laine sur eux pendant leur service dans les portes du parvis intérieur et vers la maison.
  
  18 Ils auront des turbans de lin sur leur tête, et des caleçons de lin sur leurs reins ; ils ne se ceindront pas avec ce qui fait transpirer.
  
  19 Et quand ils sortiront dans le parvis extérieur vers le peuple, ils ôteront leurs vêtements dans lesquels ils auront fait le service, et les déposeront dans les cellules saintes ; et ils revêtiront d'autres vêtements, afin de ne pas sanctifier le peuple par leurs vêtements.
  
  20 Et ils ne se raseront pas la tête, et ne laisseront pas croître librement leurs cheveux ; ils auront soin de couper les cheveux de leurs têtes.
  
  21 Et aucun sacrificateur ne boira de vin quand il entrera dans le parvis intérieur.
  
  22 Et ils ne prendront pas pour femme une veuve, ni une répudiée ; mais ils prendront une vierge de la semence de la maison d'Israël, ou une veuve qui sera veuve d'un sacrificateur.
  
  23 Et ils instruiront mon peuple à distinguer entre ce qui est saint et ce qui est profane, et lui feront connaître la différence entre ce qui est impur et ce qui est pur.
  
  24 Et, dans les contestations, ils se tiendront là pour juger ; ils jugeront par mes jugements, et ils garderont mes lois et mes statuts dans toutes mes solennités, et ils sanctifieront mes sabbats.
  
  25 Et ils n'entreront pas auprès d'un homme mort, pour se rendre impurs ; mais pour un père ou pour une mère, ou pour un fils ou pour une fille, pour un frère ou pour une soeur qui n'a pas été mariée, ils se rendront impurs.
  
  26 Et après qu'il se sera purifié, on comptera sept jours pour celui qui s'est rendu impur.
  
  27 Et au jour où il entrera dans le lieu saint, dans le parvis intérieur, pour faire le service dans le lieu saint, il présentera son sacrifice pour le péché, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
  
  28 Et mon service leur sera pour héritage : moi, je suis leur héritage ; et vous ne leur donnerez pas de possession en Israël : moi, je suis leur possession.
  
  29 mangeront l'offrande de gâteau, et le sacrifice pour le péché, et le sacrifice pour le délit ; et tout ce qui est voué à Dieu en Israël leur appartiendra.
  
  30 Et les prémices de tous les premiers fruits de toute espèce, et toute offrande élevée de toute espèce, de toutes vos offrandes élevées, appartiendront aux sacrificateurs ; et les prémices de votre pâte, vous les donnerez au sacrificateur, pour faire reposer la bénédiction sur ta maison.
  
  31 Les sacrificateurs ne mangeront de rien de ce qui est mort de soi-même ou de ce qui a été déchiré, soit d'entre les oiseaux, soit d'entre le bétail.

  1 Paul, apôtre du Christ Jésus par la volonté de Dieu, et Timothée, le frère,
  
  2 saints et fidèles frères en Christ qui sont à Colasses : Grâce et paix à vous, de la part de Dieu notre Père et du Seigneur Jésus Christ !
  
  3 Nous rendons grâces au Dieu et Père de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, priant toujours pour vous,
  
  4 ayant ouï parler de votre foi dans le Christ Jésus et de l'amour que vous avez pour tous les saints,
  
  5 à cause de l'espérance qui vous est réservée dans les cieux et dont vous avez déjà ouï parler dans la parole de la vérité de l'évangile,
  
  6 qui est parvenu jusqu'à vous, comme aussi il l'est dans tous le monde, et qui porte du fruit et croît, comme aussi parmi vous, depuis le jour où vous avez entendu et connu la grâce de Dieu en vérité,
  
  7 comme vous l'avez entendue d'Épaphras, notre bien-aimé compagnon de service, qui est un fidèle serviteur du Christ pour vous,
  
  8 qui nous a aussi fait connaître votre amour dans l'Esprit.
  
  9 C'est pourquoi nous aussi, depuis le jour où nous en avons ouï parler, nous ne cessons pas de prier et de demander pour vous que vous soyez remplis de la connaissance de sa volonté, en toute sagesse et intelligence spirituelle,
  
  10 pour marcher d'une manière digne du Seigneur pour lui plaire à tous égards, portant du fruit en toute bonne oeuvre, et croissant par la connaissance de Dieu :
  
  11 étant fortifiés en toute force, selon la puissance de sa gloire, pour toute patience et constance, avec joie,
  
  12 rendant grâces au Père qui nous a rendus capables de participer au lot des saints dans la lumière ;
  
  13 qui nous a délivrés du pouvoir des ténèbres, et nous a transportés dans le royaume du Fils de son amour,
  
  14 en qui nous avons la rédemption, la rémission des péchés ;
  
  15 qui est l'image du Dieu invisible, le premier-né de toute la création ;
  
  16 car par lui ont été créés toutes choses, les choses qui sont dans les cieux, et les choses qui sont sur la terre, les visibles et les invisibles, soit trônes, ou seigneuries, ou principautés, ou autorités : toutes choses ont été créés par lui et pour lui ;
  
  17 et lui est avant toutes choses, et toutes choses subsistent par lui ;
  
  18 et il est le chef du corps, de l'assemblée, lui qui est le commencement, le premier-né d'entre les morts, afin qu'en toutes choses il tienne, lui, la première place ;
  
  19 car, en lui, toute la plénitude s'est plue à habiter,
  
  20 et, par lui, à réconcilier toutes choses avec elle-même, ayant fait la paix par le sang de sa croix, par lui, soit les choses qui sont sur la terre, soit les choses qui sont dans les cieux.
  
  21 Et vous qui étiez autrefois étrangers et ennemis quant à votre entendement, dans les mauvaises oeuvres, il vous a toutefois maintenant réconciliés
  
  22 le corps de sa chair, par la mort, pour vous présenter saints et irréprochables et irrépréhensibles devant lui,
  
  23 si du moins vous demeurez dans la foi, fondés et fermes, et ne vous laissant pas détourner de l'espérance de l'évangile que vous avez ouï, lequel a été prêché dans toute la création qui est sous le ciel, et duquel moi, Paul, je suis devenu serviteur.
  
  24 Maintenant, je me réjouis dans les souffrances pour vous, et j'accomplis dans ma chair ce qui reste encore à souffrir des afflictions du Christ pour son corps qui est l'assemblée,
  
  25 de laquelle moi je suis devenu serviteur selon l'administration de Dieu qui m'a été donnée envers vous, pour compléter la parole de Dieu,
  
  26 savoir le mystère qui avait été caché dès les siècles et dès les générations, mais qui a été maintenant manifesté à ses saints,
  
  27 auxquels Dieu a voulu donner à connaître quelles sont les richesses de la gloire de ce mystère parmi les nations, c'est-à-dire Christ en vous l'espérance de la gloire,
  
  28 lequel nous annonçons, exhortant tout homme et enseignant tout homme en toute sagesse, afin que nous présentions tout homme parfait en Christ :
  
  29 à quoi aussi je travaille, combattant selon son opération qui opère en moi avec puissance.

  1 At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.
  
  2 Jeroboam said to his wife, "Please get up and disguise yourself, that you won't be recognized as the wife of Jeroboam. Go to Shiloh. Behold, there is Ahijah the prophet, who spoke concerning me that I should be king over this people.
  
  3 Take with you ten loaves, and cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what will become of the child."
  
  4 Jeroboam's wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see; for his eyes were set by reason of his age.
  
  5 Yahweh said to Ahijah, "Behold, the wife of Jeroboam comes to inquire of you concerning her son; for he is sick. Thus and thus you shall tell her; for it will be, when she comes in, that she will pretend to be another woman."
  
  6 It was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, "Come in, you wife of Jeroboam! Why do you pretend to be another? For I am sent to you with heavy news.
  
  7 Go, tell Jeroboam, 'Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel: "Because I exalted you from among the people, and made you prince over my people Israel,
  
  8 and tore the kingdom away from the house of David, and gave it you; and yet you have not been as my servant David, who kept my commandments, and who followed me with all his heart, to do that only which was right in my eyes,
  
  9 but have done evil above all who were before you, and have gone and made you other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and have cast me behind your back:
  
  10 therefore, behold, I will bring evil on the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam everyone who urinates on a wall, he who is shut up and he who is left at large in Israel, and will utterly sweep away the house of Jeroboam, as a man sweeps away dung, until it is all gone.
  
  11 He who dies of Jeroboam in the city shall the dogs eat; and he who dies in the field shall the birds of the sky eat: for Yahweh has spoken it."'
  
  12 Arise therefore, and go to your house. When your feet enter into the city, the child shall die.
  
  13 All Israel shall mourn for him, and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, because in him there is found some good thing toward Yahweh, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.
  
  14 Moreover Yahweh will raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam. This is day! What? Even now.
  
  15 For Yahweh will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and he will root up Israel out of this good land which he gave to their fathers, and will scatter them beyond the River, because they have made their Asherim, provoking Yahweh to anger.
  
  16 He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he has sinned, and with which he has made Israel to sin."
  
  17 Jeroboam's wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah. As she came to the threshold of the house, the child died.
  
  18 All Israel buried him, and mourned for him, according to the word of Yahweh, which he spoke by his servant Ahijah the prophet.
  
  19 The rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he warred, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
  
  20 The days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his son reigned in his place.
  
  21 Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Yahweh had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there: and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess.
  
  22 Judah did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they committed, above all that their fathers had done.
  
  23 For they also built them high places, and pillars, and Asherim, on every high hill, and under every green tree;
  
  24 and there were also sodomites in the land: they did according to all the abominations of the nations which Yahweh drove out before the children of Israel.
  
  25 It happened in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem;
  
  26 and he took away the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king's house; he even took away all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
  
  27 King Rehoboam made in their place shields of brass, and committed them to the hands of the captains of the guard, who kept the door of the king's house.
  
  28 It was so, that as often as the king went into the house of Yahweh, the guard bore them, and brought them back into the guard room.
  
  29 Now the rest of the acts of Rehoboam, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
  
  30 There was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
  
  31 Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. Abijam his son reigned in his place.
  
  Ezéchiel 44
  
  1 Then he brought me back by the way of the outer gate of the sanctuary, which looks toward the east; and it was shut.
  
  2 Yahweh said to me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, neither shall any man enter in by it; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has entered in by it; therefore it shall be shut.
  
  3 As for the prince, he shall sit therein as prince to eat bread before Yahweh; he shall enter by the way of the porch of the gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
  
  4 Then he brought me by the way of the north gate before the house; and I looked, and behold, the glory of Yahweh filled the house of Yahweh: and I fell on my face.
  
  5 Yahweh said to me, Son of man, mark well, and see with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I tell you concerning all the ordinances of the house of Yahweh, and all its laws; and mark well the entrance of the house, with every exit of the sanctuary.
  
  6 You shall tell the rebellious, even to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: you house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
  
  7 in that you have brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to profane it, even my house, when you offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant, [to add] to all your abominations.
  
  8 You have not performed the duty of my holy things; but you have set performers of my duty in my sanctuary for yourselves.
  
  9 Thus says the Lord Yahweh, No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any foreigners who are among the children of Israel.
  
  10 But the Levites who went far from me, when Israel went astray, who went astray from me after their idols, they shall bear their iniquity.
  
  11 Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house, and ministering in the house: they shall kill the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.
  
  12 Because they ministered to them before their idols, and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel; therefore have I lifted up my hand against them, says the Lord Yahweh, and they shall bear their iniquity.
  
  13 They shall not come near to me, to execute the office of priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
  
  14 Yet will I make them performers of the duty of the house, for all its service, and for all that shall be done therein.
  
  15 But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who performed the duty of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister to me; and they shall stand before me to offer to me the fat and the blood, says the Lord Yahweh:
  
  16 they shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my instruction.
  
  17 It shall be that, when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come on them, while they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.
  
  18 They shall have linen tires on their heads, and shall have linen breeches on their waists; they shall not clothe themselves with [anything that causes] sweat.
  
  19 When they go forth into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they minister, and lay them in the holy rooms; and they shall put on other garments, that they not sanctify the people with their garments.
  
  20 Neither shall they shave their heads, nor allow their locks to grow long; they shall only cut off the hair of their heads.
  
  21 Neither shall any of the priests drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.
  
  22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her who is put away; but they shall take virgins of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest.
  
  23 They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
  
  24 In a controversy they shall stand to judge; according to my ordinances shall they judge it: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts; and they shall make my Sabbaths holy.
  
  25 They shall go in to no dead person to defile themselves; but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister who has had no husband, they may defile themselves.
  
  26 After he is cleansed, they shall reckon to him seven days.
  
  27 In the day that he goes into the sanctuary, into the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, says the Lord Yahweh.
  
  28 They shall have an inheritance: I am their inheritance; and you shall give them no possession in Israel; I am their possession.
  
  29 They shall eat the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every devoted thing in Israel shall be theirs.
  
  30 The first of all the first fruits of every thing, and every offering of everything, of all your offerings, shall be for the priest: you shall also give to the priests the first of your dough, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.
  
  31 The priests shall not eat of anything that dies of itself, or is torn, whether it be bird or animal.
  
  Colossiens 1
  
  1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
  
  2 to the saints and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
  
  3 We give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
  
  4 having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints,
  
  5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News,
  
  6 which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
  
  7 even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf,
  
  8 who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
  
  9 For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don't cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
  
  10 that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
  
  11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;
  
  12 giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
  
  13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;
  
  14 in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins;
  
  15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
  
  16 For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and for him.
  
  17 He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
  
  18 He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
  
  19 For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him;
  
  20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.
  
  21 You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,
  
  22 yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him,
  
  23 if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.
  
  24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the assembly;
  
  25 of which I was made a servant, according to the stewardship of God which was given me toward you, to fulfill the word of God,
  
  26 the mystery which has been hidden for ages and generations. But now it has been revealed to his saints,
  
  27 to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;
  
  28 whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus;
  
  29 for which I also labor, striving according to his working, which works in me mightily.

  12 וְאַ֥תְּ ק֖וּמִי לְכִ֣י לְבֵיתֵ֑ךְ בְּבֹאָ֥ה רַגְלַ֛יִךְ הָעִ֖ירָה וּמֵ֥ת הַיָּֽלֶד׃

  14 וְהֵקִים֩ יְהוָ֨ה ל֥וֹ מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יַכְרִ֛ית אֶת־בֵּ֥ית יָרָבְעָ֖ם זֶ֣ה הַיּ֑וֹם וּמֶ֖ה גַּם־עָֽתָּה׃
  
  15 וְהִכָּ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָנ֣וּד הַקָּנֶה֮ בַּמַּיִם֒ וְנָתַ֣שׁ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל מֵ֠עַל הָאֲדָמָ֨ה הַטּוֹבָ֤ה הַזֹּאת֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָתַן֙ לַאֲב֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם וְזֵרָ֖ם מֵעֵ֣בֶר לַנָּהָ֑ר יַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשׂוּ֙ אֶת־אֲשֵׁ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם מַכְעִיסִ֖ים אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃

  20 וְהַיָּמִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָלַ֣ךְ יָרָבְעָ֔ם עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁתַּ֖יִם שָׁנָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁכַּב֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ נָדָ֥ב בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃
  
  21 וּרְחַבְעָם֙ בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּֽיהוּדָ֑ה בֶּן־אַרְבָּעִ֣ים וְאַחַ֣ת שָׁנָה֩ רְחַבְעָ֨ם בְּמָלְכ֜וֹ וּֽשֲׁבַ֨ע עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֣ה ׀ מָלַ֣ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם הָ֠עִיר אֲשֶׁר־בָּחַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה לָשׂ֨וּם אֶת־שְׁמ֥וֹ שָׁם֙ מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ נַעֲמָ֖ה הָעַמֹּנִֽית׃
  
  22 וַיַּ֧עַשׂ יְהוּדָ֛ה הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיְקַנְא֣וּ אֹת֗וֹ מִכֹּל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשׂ֣וּ אֲבֹתָ֔ם בְּחַטֹּאתָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָטָֽאוּ׃
  
  23 וַיִּבְנ֨וּ גַם־הֵ֧מָּה לָהֶ֛ם בָּמ֥וֹת וּמַצֵּב֖וֹת וַאֲשֵׁרִ֑ים עַ֚ל כָּל־גִּבְעָ֣ה גְבֹהָ֔ה וְתַ֖חַת כָּל־עֵ֥ץ רַעֲנָֽן׃
  
  24 וְגַם־קָדֵ֖שׁ הָיָ֣ה בָאָ֑רֶץ עָשׂ֗וּ כְּכֹל֙ הַתּוֹעֲבֹ֣ת הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר֙ הוֹרִ֣ישׁ יְהוָ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  25 וַיְהִ֛י בַּשָּׁנָ֥ה הַחֲמִישִׁ֖ית לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֑ם עָלָ֛ה *שושק **שִׁישַׁ֥ק מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֖יִם עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
  
  26 וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־אֹצְר֣וֹת בֵּית־יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶת־אֽוֹצְרוֹת֙ בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְאֶת־הַכֹּ֖ל לָקָ֑ח וַיִּקַּח֙ אֶת־כָּל־מָגִנֵּ֣י הַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
  
  27 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ רְחַבְעָם֙ תַּחְתָּ֔ם מָגִנֵּ֖י נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְהִפְקִ֗יד עַל־יַד֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הָרָצִ֔ים הַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔ים פֶּ֖תַח בֵּ֥ית הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
  
  28 וַיְהִ֛י מִדֵּי־בֹ֥א הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה יִשָּׂאוּם֙ הָֽרָצִ֔ים וֶהֱשִׁיב֖וּם אֶל־תָּ֥א הָרָצִֽים׃
  
  29 וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י רְחַבְעָ֖ם וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣מָּה כְתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃
  
  30 וּמִלְחָמָ֨ה הָיְתָ֧ה בֵין־רְחַבְעָ֛ם וּבֵ֥ין יָרָבְעָ֖ם כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃

  12 יַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְשָׁרְת֤וּ אוֹתָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָי֥וּ לְבֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְמִכְשׁ֣וֹל עָוֺ֑ן עַל־כֵּן֩ נָשָׂ֨אתִי יָדִ֜י עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם נְאֻם֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה וְנָשְׂא֖וּ עֲוֺנָֽם׃
  
  13 וְלֹֽא־יִגְּשׁ֤וּ אֵלַי֙ לְכַהֵ֣ן לִ֔י וְלָגֶ֙שֶׁת֙ עַל־כָּל־קָ֣דָשַׁ֔י אֶל־קָדְשֵׁ֖י הַקְּדָשִׁ֑ים וְנָֽשְׂאוּ֙ כְּלִמָּתָ֔ם וְתוֹעֲבוֹתָ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשֽׂוּ׃
  
  14 וְנָתַתִּ֣י אוֹתָ֔ם שֹׁמְרֵ֖י מִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת הַבָּ֑יִת לְכֹל֙ עֲבֹ֣דָת֔וֹ וּלְכֹ֛ל אֲשֶׁ֥ר יֵעָשֶׂ֖ה בּֽוֹ׃
  
  15 וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֨ים הַלְוִיִּ֜ם בְּנֵ֣י צָד֗וֹק אֲשֶׁ֨ר שָׁמְר֜וּ אֶת־מִשְׁמֶ֤רֶת מִקְדָּשִׁי֙ בִּתְע֤וֹת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י הֵ֛מָּה יִקְרְב֥וּ אֵלַ֖י לְשָֽׁרְתֵ֑נִי וְעָמְד֣וּ לְפָנַ֗י לְהַקְרִ֥יב לִי֙ חֵ֣לֶב וָדָ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
  
  16 הֵ֜מָּה יָבֹ֣אוּ אֶל־מִקְדָּשִׁ֗י וְהֵ֛מָּה יִקְרְב֥וּ אֶל־שֻׁלְחָנִ֖י לְשָׁרְתֵ֑נִי וְשָׁמְר֖וּ אֶת־מִשְׁמַרְתִּֽי׃
  
  17 וְהָיָ֗ה בְּבוֹאָם֙ אֶֽל־שַׁעֲרֵי֙ הֶחָצֵ֣ר הַפְּנִימִ֔ית בִּגְדֵ֥י פִשְׁתִּ֖ים יִלְבָּ֑שׁוּ וְלֹֽא־יַעֲלֶ֤ה עֲלֵיהֶם֙ צֶ֔מֶר בְּשָֽׁרְתָ֗ם בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֛י הֶחָצֵ֥ר הַפְּנִימִ֖ית וָבָֽיְתָה׃
  
  18 פַּאֲרֵ֤י פִשְׁתִּים֙ יִהְי֣וּ עַל־רֹאשָׁ֔ם וּמִכְנְסֵ֣י פִשְׁתִּ֔ים יִהְי֖וּ עַל־מָתְנֵיהֶ֑ם לֹ֥א יַחְגְּר֖וּ בַּיָּֽזַע׃
  
  19 וּ֠בְצֵאתָם אֶל־הֶחָצֵ֨ר הַחִיצוֹנָ֜ה אֶל־הֶחָצֵ֣ר הַחִיצוֹנָה֮ אֶל־הָעָם֒ יִפְשְׁט֣וּ אֶת־בִּגְדֵיהֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֙מָּה֙ מְשָׁרְתִ֣ם בָּ֔ם וְהִנִּ֥יחוּ אוֹתָ֖ם בְּלִֽשְׁכֹ֣ת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וְלָֽבְשׁוּ֙ בְּגָדִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וְלֹֽא־יְקַדְּשׁ֥וּ אֶת־הָעָ֖ם בְּבִגְדֵיהֶֽם׃
  
  20 וְרֹאשָׁם֙ לֹ֣א יְגַלֵּ֔חוּ וּפֶ֖רַע לֹ֣א יְשַׁלֵּ֑חוּ כָּס֥וֹם יִכְסְמ֖וּ אֶת־רָאשֵׁיהֶֽם׃
  
  21 וְיַ֥יִן לֹֽא־יִשְׁתּ֖וּ כָּל־כֹּהֵ֑ן בְּבוֹאָ֖ם אֶל־הֶחָצֵ֥ר הַפְּנִימִֽית׃
  
  22 וְאַלְמָנָה֙ וּגְרוּשָׁ֔ה לֹֽא־יִקְח֥וּ לָהֶ֖ם לְנָשִׁ֑ים כִּ֣י אִם־בְּתוּלֹ֗ת מִזֶּ֙רַע֙ בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהָֽאַלְמָנָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּֽהְיֶ֣ה אַלְמָנָ֔ה מִכֹּהֵ֖ן יִקָּֽחוּ׃
  
  23 וְאֶת־עַמִּ֣י יוֹר֔וּ בֵּ֥ין קֹ֖דֶשׁ לְחֹ֑ל וּבֵין־טָמֵ֥א לְטָה֖וֹר יוֹדִעֻֽם׃
  
  24 וְעַל־רִ֗יב הֵ֚מָּה יַעַמְד֣וּ *לשפט **לְמִשְׁפָּ֔ט בְּמִשְׁפָּטַ֖י *ושפטהו **יִשְׁפְּט֑וּהוּ וְאֶת־תּוֹרֹתַ֤י וְאֶת־חֻקֹּתַי֙ בְּכָל־מוֹעֲדַ֣י יִשְׁמֹ֔רוּ וְאֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֖י יְקַדֵּֽשׁוּ׃
  
  25 וְאֶל־מֵ֣ת אָדָ֔ם לֹ֥א יָב֖וֹא לְטָמְאָ֑ה כִּ֣י אִם־לְאָ֡ב וּ֠לְאֵם וּלְבֵ֨ן וּלְבַ֜ת לְאָ֗ח וּלְאָח֛וֹת אֲשֶֽׁר־לֹא־הָיְתָ֥ה לְאִ֖ישׁ יִטַּמָּֽאוּ׃
  
  26 וְאַחֲרֵ֖י טָֽהֳרָת֑וֹ שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים יִסְפְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃
  
  27 וּבְיוֹם֩ בֹּא֨וֹ אֶל־הַקֹּ֜דֶשׁ אֶל־הֶחָצֵ֤ר הַפְּנִימִית֙ לְשָׁרֵ֣ת בַּקֹּ֔דֶשׁ יַקְרִ֖יב חַטָּאת֑וֹ נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
  
  28 וְהָיְתָ֤ה לָהֶם֙ לְֽנַחֲלָ֔ה אֲנִ֖י נַֽחֲלָתָ֑ם וַאֲחֻזָּ֗ה לֹֽא־תִתְּנ֤וּ לָהֶם֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲנִ֖י אֲחֻזָּתָֽם׃
  
  29 הַמִּנְחָה֙ וְהַחַטָּ֣את וְהָאָשָׁ֔ם הֵ֖מָּה יֹֽאכְל֑וּם וְכָל־חֵ֥רֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לָהֶ֥ם יִהְיֶֽה׃
  
  30 וְרֵאשִׁית֩ כָּל־בִּכּ֨וּרֵי כֹ֜ל וְכָל־תְּר֣וּמַת כֹּ֗ל מִכֹּל֙ תְּרוּמ֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם לַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים יִֽהְיֶ֑ה וְרֵאשִׁ֤ית עֲרִסֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ תִּתְּנ֣וּ לַכֹּהֵ֔ן לְהָנִ֥יחַ בְּרָכָ֖ה אֶל־בֵּיתֶֽךָ׃

  1 Παῦλος ἀπόστολος Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ διὰ θελήματος θεοῦ καὶ Τιμόθεος ὁ ἀδελφὸς
  
  2 τοῖς ἐν Κολοσσαῖς ἁγίοις καὶ πιστοῖς ἀδελφοῖς ἐν Χριστῷ· χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν.
  
  3 Εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ θεῷ πατρὶ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν προσευχόμενοι,
  
  4 ἀκούσαντες τὴν πίστιν ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τὴν ἀγάπην ἣν ἔχετε εἰς πάντας τοὺς ἁγίους
  
  5 διὰ τὴν ἐλπίδα τὴν ἀποκειμένην ὑμῖν ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς, ἣν προηκούσατε ἐν τῷ λόγῳ τῆς ἀληθείας τοῦ εὐαγγελίου
  
  6 τοῦ παρόντος εἰς ὑμᾶς, καθὼς καὶ ἐν παντὶ τῷ κόσμῳ ἐστὶν καρποφορούμενον καὶ αὐξανόμενον καθὼς καὶ ἐν ὑμῖν, ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἠκούσατε καὶ ἐπέγνωτε τὴν χάριν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν ἀληθείᾳ·
  
  7 καθὼς ἐμάθετε ἀπὸ Ἐπαφρᾶ τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ συνδούλου ἡμῶν, ὅς ἐστιν πιστὸς ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν διάκονος τοῦ Χριστοῦ,
  
  8 ὁ καὶ δηλώσας ἡμῖν τὴν ὑμῶν ἀγάπην ἐν πνεύματι.
  
  9 Διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ἡμεῖς, ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἠκούσαμεν, οὐ παυόμεθα ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν προσευχόμενοι καὶ αἰτούμενοι ἵνα πληρωθῆτε τὴν ἐπίγνωσιν τοῦ θελήματος αὐτοῦ ἐν πάσῃ σοφίᾳ καὶ συνέσει πνευματικῇ,
  
  10 περιπατῆσαι ἀξίως τοῦ κυρίου εἰς πᾶσαν ἀρεσκείαν ἐν παντὶ ἔργῳ ἀγαθῷ καρποφοροῦντες καὶ αὐξανόμενοι τῇ ἐπιγνώσει τοῦ θεοῦ,
  
  11 ἐν πάσῃ δυνάμει δυναμούμενοι κατὰ τὸ κράτος τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ εἰς πᾶσαν ὑπομονὴν καὶ μακροθυμίαν μετὰ χαρᾶς,
  
  12 εὐχαριστοῦντες τῷ πατρὶ τῷ ἱκανώσαντι ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν μερίδα τοῦ κλήρου τῶν ἁγίων ἐν τῷ φωτί,
  
  13 ὃς ἐρρύσατο ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῆς ἐξουσίας τοῦ σκότους καὶ μετέστησεν εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἀγάπης αὐτοῦ,
  
  14 ἐν ᾧ ἔχομεν τὴν ἀπολύτρωσιν, τὴν ἄφεσιν τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν·
  
  15 ὅς ἐστιν εἰκὼν τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἀοράτου, πρωτότοκος πάσης κτίσεως,
  
  16 ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ ἐκτίσθη τὰ πάντα ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, τὰ ὁρατὰ καὶ τὰ ἀόρατα, εἴτε θρόνοι εἴτε κυριότητες εἴτε ἀρχαὶ εἴτε ἐξουσίαι· τὰ πάντα δι’ αὐτοῦ καὶ εἰς αὐτὸν ἔκτισται·
  
  17 καὶ αὐτός ἐστιν πρὸ πάντων καὶ τὰ πάντα ἐν αὐτῷ συνέστηκεν,
  
  18 καὶ αὐτός ἐστιν ἡ κεφαλὴ τοῦ σώματος τῆς ἐκκλησίας· ὅς ἐστιν ἀρχή, πρωτότοκος ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν, ἵνα γένηται ἐν πᾶσιν αὐτὸς πρωτεύων,
  
  19 ὅτι ἐν αὐτῷ εὐδόκησεν πᾶν τὸ πλήρωμα κατοικῆσαι
  
  20 καὶ δι’ αὐτοῦ ἀποκαταλλάξαι τὰ πάντα εἰς αὐτόν, εἰρηνοποιήσας διὰ τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ σταυροῦ αὐτοῦ, [δι’ αὐτοῦ] εἴτε τὰ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἴτε τὰ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς·
  
  21 καὶ ὑμᾶς ποτε ὄντας ἀπηλλοτριωμένους καὶ ἐχθροὺς τῇ διανοίᾳ ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις τοῖς πονηροῖς —
  
  22 νυνὶ δὲ ἀποκατηλλάγητε ἐν τῷ σώματι τῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦ διὰ τοῦ θανάτου — παραστῆσαι ὑμᾶς ἁγίους καὶ ἀμώμους καὶ ἀνεγκλήτους κατενώπιον αὐτοῦ,
  
  23 εἴ γε ἐπιμένετε τῇ πίστει τεθεμελιωμένοι καὶ ἑδραῖοι καὶ μὴ μετακινούμενοι ἀπὸ τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ εὐαγγελίου οὗ ἠκούσατε, τοῦ κηρυχθέντος ἐν πάσῃ κτίσει τῇ ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν, οὗ ἐγενόμην ἐγὼ Παῦλος διάκονος.
  
  24 Νῦν χαίρω ἐν τοῖς παθήμασιν ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν, καὶ ἀνταναπληρῶ τὰ ὑστερήματα τῶν θλίψεων τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου ὑπὲρ τοῦ σώματος αὐτοῦ, ὅ ἐστιν ἡ ἐκκλησία,
  
  25 ἧς ἐγενόμην ἐγὼ διάκονος κατὰ τὴν οἰκονομίαν τοῦ θεοῦ τὴν δοθεῖσάν μοι εἰς ὑμᾶς πληρῶσαι τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ,
  
  26 τὸ μυστήριον τὸ ἀποκεκρυμμένον ἀπὸ τῶν αἰώνων καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν γενεῶν,— νῦν δὲ ἐφανερώθη τοῖς ἁγίοις αὐτοῦ,
  
  27 οἷς ἠθέλησεν ὁ θεὸς γνωρίσαι τί τὸ πλοῦτος τῆς δόξης τοῦ μυστηρίου τούτου ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, ὅ ἐστιν Χριστὸς ἐν ὑμῖν, ἡ ἐλπὶς τῆς δόξης·
  
  28 ὃν ἡμεῖς καταγγέλλομεν νουθετοῦντες πάντα ἄνθρωπον καὶ διδάσκοντες πάντα ἄνθρωπον ἐν πάσῃ σοφίᾳ, ἵνα παραστήσωμεν πάντα ἄνθρωπον τέλειον ἐν Χριστῷ·
  
  29 εἰς ὃ καὶ κοπιῶ ἀγωνιζόμενος κατὰ τὴν ἐνέργειαν αὐτοῦ τὴν ἐνεργουμένην ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐν δυνάμει.
