- 1 Rois 18
  
  1 Et il arriva, après bien des jours, que la parole de l'Éternel vint à Élie, la troisième année, disant : Va, montre-toi à Achab, et je donnerai de la pluie sur la face de la terre.
  
  2 Et Élie s'en alla pour se montrer à Achab.
  
  3 Et la famine était forte à Samarie. Et Achab appela Abdias qui était préposé sur sa maison ; (et Abdias craignait beaucoup l'Éternel.
  
  4 Et il était arrivé, quand Jézabel exterminait les prophètes de l'Éternel, qu'Abdias avait pris cent prophètes et les avait cachés par cinquante hommes dans une caverne, et les avait nourris de pain et d'eau.)
  
  5 Et Achab dit à Abdias : Va dans le pays, à toutes les sources d'eaux, et à tous les torrents ; peut-être trouverons-nous de l'herbage, et nous conserverons la vie aux chevaux et aux mulets, et nous ne serons pas obligés de détruire de nos bêtes.
  
  6 Et ils se partagèrent le pays pour le parcourir. Achab s'en alla seul par un chemin, et Abdias alla seul par un autre chemin.
  
  7 Et comme Abdias était en chemin, voici, Élie le rencontra ; et il le reconnut, et tomba sur sa face, et dit : Est-ce bien toi, mon seigneur Élie ?
  
  8 Et il lui dit : C'est moi ; va, dis à ton seigneur : Voici Élie !
  
  9 Et il dit : Quel péché ai-je commis, que tu livres ton serviteur en la main d'Achab, pour me faire mourir ?
  
  10 L'Éternel, ton Dieu, est vivant, s'il y a nation ou royaume où mon seigneur n'ait pas envoyé pour te chercher ! Et quand ils disaient : Il n'est pas ici, il faisait jurer le royaume ou la nation qu'on ne t'avait pas trouvé.
  
  11 Et maintenant, tu dis : Va, dis à ton seigneur : Voici Élie !
  
  12 Et il arrivera, dès que je m'en irai d'auprès de toi, que l'Esprit de l'Éternel te portera je ne sais où ; et je serai venu informer Achab, et il ne te trouvera pas, et il me tuera. Et ton serviteur craint l'Éternel dès sa jeunesse.
  
  13 N'a-t-on pas rapporté à mon seigneur ce que j'ai fait quand Jézabel tuait les prophètes de l'Éternel, comment j'ai caché cent hommes des prophètes de l'Éternel, par cinquante hommes dans une caverne, et je les ai nourris de pain et d'eau ?
  
  14 Et maintenant tu dis : Va, dis à ton seigneur : Voici Élie ! Et il me tuera.
  
  15 Et Élie dit : L'Éternel des armées, devant qui je me tiens, est vivant, qu'aujourd'hui je me montrerai à lui.
  
  16 Et Abdias s'en alla à la rencontre d'Achab, et le lui rapporta.
  
  17 Et Achab alla à la rencontre d'Élie. Et il arriva que, quand Achab vit Élie, Achab lui dit : Est-ce bien toi, -celui qui trouble Israël ?
  
  18 Et il dit : Je ne trouble pas Israël, mais c'est toi et la maison de ton père, parce que vous avez abandonné les commandements de l'Éternel et que tu as marché après les Baals.
  
  19 Et maintenant, envoie, rassemble vers moi tout Israël, à la montagne du Carmel, et les quatre cent cinquante prophètes de Baal et les quatre cents prophètes des ashères, qui mangent à la table de Jézabel.
  
  20 Et Achab envoya à tous les fils d'Israël, et rassembla les prophètes à la montagne du Carmel.
  
  21 Et Élie s'approcha de tout le peuple, et dit : Combien de temps hésiterez-vous entre les deux côtés ? Si l'Éternel est Dieu, suivez-le ; et si c'est Baal, suivez-le ! Et le peuple ne lui répondit mot.
  
  22 Et Élie dit au peuple : Je reste, moi seul, prophète de l'Éternel, et les prophètes de Baal sont quatre cent cinquante hommes.
  
  23 Qu'on nous donne deux taureaux ; et qu'ils choisissent pour eux l'un des taureaux, et qu'ils le dépècent, et qu'ils le placent sur le bois, et qu'ils n'y mettent pas de feu ; et moi j'offrirai l'autre taureau, et je le placerai sur le bois, et je n'y mettrai pas de feu.
  
  24 Et vous invoquerez le nom de votre dieu, et moi j'invoquerai le nom de l'Éternel, et le dieu qui répondra par le feu, lui, sera Dieu. Et tout le peuple répondit et dit : La parole est bonne.
  
  25 Et Élie dit aux prophètes de Baal : Choisissez pour vous l'un des taureaux, et offrez les premiers, car vous êtes nombreux, et invoquez le nom de votre dieu, et ne mettez pas de feu.
  
  26 Et ils prirent le taureau qu'on leur avait donné, et l'offrirent, et invoquèrent le nom de Baal depuis le matin jusqu'à midi, disant : O Baal, réponds-nous ! Mais il n'y eut pas de voix, ni personne qui répondît. Et ils sautaient autour de l'autel qu'on avait fait.
  
  27 Et il arriva qu'à midi Élie se moqua d'eux, et dit : Criez à haute voix, car il est un dieu ; car il médite, ou il est allé à l'écart, ou il est en voyage ; peut-être qu'il dort, et il se réveillera ?
  
  28 Et ils crièrent à haute voix, et se firent des incisions, selon leur coutume, avec des épées et des piques, jusqu'à faire couler le sang sur eux.
  
  29 Et il arriva, quand midi fut passé, qu'ils prophétisèrent jusqu'à l'heure où l'on offre le gâteau ; et il n'y eut pas de voix, et personne qui répondît, et personne qui fît attention.
  
  30 Alors Élie dit à tout le peuple : Approchez-vous de moi. Et tout le peuple s'approcha de lui. Et il répara l'autel de l'Éternel, qui avait été renversé.
  
  31 Et Élie prit douze pierres, selon le nombre des tribus des fils de Jacob, auquel vint la parole de l'Éternel, disant : Israël sera ton nom ;
  
  32 et il bâtit avec les pierres un autel au nom de l'Éternel, et fit autour de l'autel un fossé de la capacité de deux mesures de semence ;
  
  33 et il arrangea le bois, et dépeça le taureau, et le plaça sur le bois.
  
  34 Et il dit : Remplissez d'eau quatre cruches, et versez-les sur l'holocauste et sur le bois. Et il dit : Faites-le une seconde fois ; et ils le firent une seconde fois. Et il dit : Faites-le une troisième fois ; et il le firent une troisième fois.
  
  35 Et l'eau coula autour de l'autel ; et il remplit d'eau aussi le fossé.
  
  36 Et il arriva, à l'heure où l'on offre le gâteau, qu'Élie, le prophète, s'approcha, et dit : Éternel, Dieu d'Abraham, d'Isaac, et d'Israël, qu'il soit connu aujourd'hui que toi tu es Dieu en Israël, et que moi je suis ton serviteur, et que c'est par ta parole que j'ai fait toutes ces choses.
  
  37 Réponds-moi, Éternel, réponds-moi, et que ce peuple sache que toi, Éternel, tu es Dieu, et que tu as ramené leur coeur.
  
  38 Et le feu de l'Éternel tomba, et consuma l'holocauste, et le bois, et les pierres, et la poussière, et lécha l'eau qui était dans le fossé.
  
  39 Et tout le peuple le vit ; et ils tombèrent sur leurs faces, et dirent : L'Éternel, c'est lui qui est Dieu ! L'Éternel, c'est lui qui est Dieu !
  
  40 Et Élie leur dit : Saisissez les prophètes de Baal, que pas un d'entre eux n'échappe ! Et ils les saisirent ; et Élie les fit descendre au torrent de Kison, et les égorgea là.
  
  41 Et Élie dit à Achab : Monte, mange et bois, car il y a un bruit d'une abondance de pluie.
  
  42 Et Achab monta pour manger et pour boire. Et Élie monta au sommet du Carmel, et il se courba jusqu'à terre, et mit sa face entre ses genoux.
  
  43 Et il dit à son jeune homme : Monte, je te prie ; regarde du côté de l'ouest. Et il monta, et regarda, et il dit : Il n'y a rien. Et il dit : Retournes-y sept fois.
  
  44 Et il arriva qu'à la septième fois, il dit : Voici un petit nuage, comme la main d'un homme, qui s'élève de la mer. Et il dit : Lève-toi, dis à Achab : Attelle, et descends, afin que la pluie ne t'arrête pas.
  
  45 Et il arriva, en attendant, que les cieux devinrent noirs par d'épais nuages accompagnés de vent, et il y eut une forte pluie ; et Achab monta dans son char et s'en alla à J izreël.
  
  46 Et la main de l'Éternel fut sur Élie, et il ceignit ses reins, et courut devant Achab jusque là où tu arrives à Jizreël.
  
  Ezéchiel 48
  
  1 Et ce sont ici les noms des tribus. Depuis l'extrémité nord, le long du chemin de Hethlon quand on va à Hamath et Hatsar-Énan, la frontière de Damas, au nord près de Hamath, -le côté de l'orient, et l'occident, seront à lui, -une part pour Dan.
  
  2 Et sur la frontière de Dan, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Aser.
  
  3 Et sur la frontière d'Aser, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Nephthali.
  
  4 Et sur la frontière de Nephthali, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Manassé.
  
  5 Et sur la frontière de Manassé, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Éphraïm.
  
  6 Et sur la frontière d'Éphraïm, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Ruben.
  
  7 Et sur la frontière de Ruben, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Juda.
  
  8 Et sur la frontière de Juda, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident, sera l'offrande élevée que vous offrirez : vingt-cinq mille coudées en largeur, et la longueur comme l'une des autres parts, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident ; et le sanctuaire sera au milieu.
  
  9 élevée que vous offrirez à l'Éternel sera de vingt-cinq mille en longueur, et de dix mille en largeur.
  
  10 Et cette portion sera pour les sacrificateurs, la sainte offrande : au nord, vingt-cinq mille ; et à l'occident, la largeur, dix mille ; et à l'orient, la largeur, dix mille ; et au midi, la longueur, vingt-cinq mille ; et le sanctuaire de l'Éternel sera au milieu.
  
  11 L'offrande sera pour les sacrificateurs qui sont sanctifiés d'entre les fils de Tsadok, qui ont fait l'acquit de la charge que je leur ai confiée, qui ne se sont pas égarés dans les égarements des fils d'Israël, comme les Lévites se sont égarés.
  
  12 Et, sur l'offrande du pays, ils auront une offrande élevée, une chose très-sainte, sur la frontière des Lévites.
  
  13 Et le long de la frontière des sacrificateurs, les Lévites auront une longueur de vingt-cinq mille, et une largeur de dix mille ; toute la longueur sera de vingt-cinq mille, et la largeur, de dix mille.
  
  14 Ils n'en vendront rien, et n'en feront pas d'échange, et ils n'aliéneront pas les prémices du pays, car il est saint, consacré à l'Éternel.
  
  15 Et les cinq mille qui restent de la largeur en face des vingt-cinq mille seront un espace profane pour la ville, pour des habitations et pour une banlieue ; et la ville sera au milieu.
  
  16 Et ce sont ici ses mesures : le côté du nord, quatre mille cinq cents ; et le côté du midi, quatre mille cinq cents ; et le côté de l'orient, quatre mille cinq cents ; et le côté de l'occident, quatre mille cinq cents.
  
  17 Et la banlieue de la ville, au nord, sera de deux cent cinquante, et au midi, de deux cent cinquante, et à l'orient, de deux cent cinquante, et à l'occident, de deux cent cinquante.
  
  18 Et ce qui reste sur la longueur, le long de la sainte offrande, sera de dix mille vers l'orient, et de dix mille vers l'occident : il sera le long de la sainte offrande élevée, et son rapport sera pour la nourriture de ceux qui servent la ville.
  
  19 Et ceux qui servent la ville la serviront, de toutes les tribus d'Israël.
  
  20 Toute l'offrande élevée sera de vingt-cinq mille sur vingt-cinq mille ; vous offrirez la sainte offrande élevée, un carré, avec la possession de la ville.
  
  21 Et le restant sera pour le prince, d'un côté et de l'autre de la sainte offrande et de la possession de la ville, en face des vingt-cinq mille de l'offrande élevée jusqu'à la frontière d'orient, et, vers l'occident, en face des vingt-cinq mille jusqu'à la frontière d'occident, le long des autres portions : cela sera pour le prince. Et la sainte offrande élevée et le sanctuaire de la maison seront au milieu d'elle.
  
  22 Et depuis la possession des Lévites et la possession de la ville, qui sont au milieu de ce qui sera au prince, -ce qui est entre la frontière de Juda et la frontière de Benjamin sera pour le prince.
  
  23 Et quant au reste des tribus, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Benjamin.
  
  24 Et sur la frontière de Benjamin, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Siméon.
  
  25 Et sur la frontière de Siméon, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Issacar.
  
  26 Et sur la frontière d'Issacar, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Zabulon.
  
  27 Et sur la frontière de Zabulon, depuis le côté de l'orient jusqu'au côté de l'occident : une part pour Gad.
  
  28 Et sur la frontière de Gad, du côté du midi, vers le sud, la frontière sera depuis Thamar jusqu'aux eaux de Meriba de Kadès, la rivière jusqu'à la grande mer.
  
  29 C'est là le pays que vous partagerez par le sort, comme héritage entre les tribus d'Israël, et ce sont là leurs parts, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.
  
  30 Et ce sont ici les issues de la ville : du côté du nord, une mesure de quatre mille cinq cents coudées ;
  
  31 et les portes de la ville seront selon les noms des tribus d'Israël : trois portes vers le nord : la porte de Ruben, une ; la porte de Juda, une ; la porte de Lévi, une.
  
  32 Et vers le côté de l'orient, quatre mille cinq cents, et trois portes : la porte de Joseph, une ; la porte de Benjamin, une ; la porte de Dan, une.
  
  33 Et du côté du midi, une mesure de quatre mille cinq cents coudées, et trois portes : la porte de Siméon, une ; la porte d'Issacar, une ; la porte de Zabulon, une.
  
  34 Du côté de l'occident, quatre mille cinq cents et leurs trois portes : la porte de Gad, une ; la porte d'Aser, une ; la porte de Nephthali, une.
  
  35 Le circuit était de dix-huit mille coudées ; et le nom de la ville, dès ce jour : l'Éternel est là.

  1 Paul, et Silvain, et Timothée, à l'assemblée des Thessaloniciens, en Dieu le Père et dans le Seigneur Jésus Christ : Grâce et paix à vous !
  
  2 Nous rendons toujours grâces à Dieu pour vous tous, faisant mention de vous dans nos prières,
  
  3 nous souvenant sans cesse de votre oeuvre de foi, de votre travail d'amour, et de votre patience d'espérance de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, devant notre Dieu et Père,
  
  4 sachant, frères aimés de Dieu, votre élection.
  
  5 Car notre évangile n'est pas venu à vous en parole seulement, mais aussi en puissance, et dans l'Esprit Saint, et dans une grande plénitude d'assurance, ainsi que vous savez quels nous avons été parmi vous pour l'amour de vous.
  
  6 Et vous êtes devenus nos imitateurs et ceux du Seigneur, ayant reçu la parole, accompagnée de grandes tribulations, avec la joie de l'Esprit Saint ;
  
  7 de sorte que vous êtes devenus des modèles pour tous ceux qui croient dans la Macédoine et dans l'Achaïe.
  
  8 Car la parole du Seigneur a retenti de chez vous, non seulement dans la Macédoine et dans l'Achaïe, mais, en tous lieux, votre foi envers Dieu s'est répandue, de sorte que nous n'avons pas besoin d'en rien dire.
  
  9 Car eux-mêmes racontent de nous quelle entrée nous avons eue auprès de vous, et comment vous vous êtes tournés des idoles vers Dieu, pour servir le Dieu vivant et vrai,
  
  10 et pour attendre des cieux son Fils qu'il a ressuscité d'entre les morts, Jésus, qui nous délivre de la colère qui vient.

  1 It happened after many days, that the word of Yahweh came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, "Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth."
  
  2 Elijah went to show himself to Ahab. The famine was severe in Samaria.
  
  3 Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared Yahweh greatly:
  
  4 for it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Yahweh, that Obadiah took one hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)
  
  5 Ahab said to Obadiah, "Go through the land, to all the springs of water, and to all the brooks. Perhaps we may find grass and save the horses and mules alive, that we not lose all the animals."
  
  6 So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
  
  7 As Obadiah was in the way, behold, Elijah met him: and he recognized him, and fell on his face, and said, "Is it you, my lord Elijah?"
  
  8 He answered him, "It is I. Go, tell your lord, 'Behold, Elijah is here!'"
  
  9 He said, "Wherein have I sinned, that you would deliver your servant into the hand of Ahab, to kill me?
  
  10 As Yahweh your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom, where my lord has not sent to seek you. When they said, 'He is not here,' he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they didn't find you.
  
  11 Now you say, 'Go, tell your lord, "Behold, Elijah is here."'
  
  12 It will happen, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of Yahweh will carry you I don't know where; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he can't find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared Yahweh from my youth.
  
  13 Wasn't it told my lord what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of Yahweh, how I hid one hundred men of Yahweh's prophets with fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?
  
  14 Now you say, 'Go, tell your lord, "Behold, Elijah is here";' and he will kill me."
  
  15 Elijah said, "As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, I will surely show myself to him today."
  
  16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.
  
  17 It happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, "Is that you, you troubler of Israel?"
  
  18 He answered, "I have not troubled Israel; but you, and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commandments of Yahweh, and you have followed the Baals.
  
  19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel to Mount Carmel, and four hundred fifty of the prophets of Baal, and four hundred of the prophets of the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table."
  
  20 So Ahab sent to all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together to Mount Carmel.
  
  21 Elijah came near to all the people, and said, "How long will you waver between the two sides? If Yahweh is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him." The people answered him not a word.
  
  22 Then Elijah said to the people, "I, even I only, am left a prophet of Yahweh; but Baal's prophets are four hundred fifty men.
  
  23 Let them therefore give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under; and I will dress the other bull, and lay it on the wood, and put no fire under it.
  
  24 You call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of Yahweh. The God who answers by fire, let him be God." All the people answered, "It is well said."
  
  25 Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "Choose one bull for yourselves, and dress it first; for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it."
  
  26 They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any who answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.
  
  27 It happened at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, "Cry aloud; for he is a god. Either he is musing, or he has gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened."
  
  28 They cried aloud, and cut themselves in their way with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.
  
  29 It was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the offering; but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any who regarded.
  
  30 Elijah said to all the people, "Come near to me"; and all the people came near to him. He repaired the altar of Yahweh that was thrown down.
  
  31 Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of Yahweh came, saying, "Israel shall be your name."
  
  32 With the stones he built an altar in the name of Yahweh. He made a trench around the altar, large enough to contain two measures of seed.
  
  33 He put the wood in order, and cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood. He said, "Fill four jars with water, and pour it on the burnt offering, and on the wood."
  
  34 He said, "Do it a second time"; and they did it the second time. He said, "Do it a third time"; and they did it the third time.
  
  35 The water ran around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
  
  36 It happened at the time of the offering of the offering, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, "Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.
  
  37 Hear me, Yahweh, hear me, that this people may know that you, Yahweh, are God, and that you have turned their heart back again."
  
  38 Then the fire of Yahweh fell, and consumed the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
  
  39 When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces. They said, "Yahweh, he is God! Yahweh, he is God!"
  
  40 Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Don't let one of them escape!" They seized them. Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and killed them there.
  
  41 Elijah said to Ahab, "Get up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain."
  
  42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.
  
  43 He said to his servant, "Go up now, look toward the sea." He went up, and looked, and said, "There is nothing." He said, "Go again" seven times.
  
  44 It happened at the seventh time, that he said, "Behold, a small cloud, like a man's hand, is rising out of the sea." He said, "Go up, tell Ahab, 'Get ready and go down, so that the rain doesn't stop you.'"
  
  45 It happened in a little while, that the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
  
  46 The hand of Yahweh was on Elijah; and he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

  1 Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath, Hazar Enan at the border of Damascus, northward beside Hamath, (and they shall have their sides east [and] west), Dan, one [portion].
  
  2 By the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one [portion].
  
  3 By the border of Asher, from the east side even to the west side, Naphtali, one [portion].
  
  4 By the border of Naphtali, from the east side to the west side, Manasseh, one [portion].
  
  5 By the border of Manasseh, from the east side to the west side, Ephraim, one [portion].
  
  6 By the border of Ephraim, from the east side even to the west side, Reuben, one [portion].
  
  7 By the border of Reuben, from the east side to the west side, Judah, one [portion].
  
  8 By the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering which you shall offer, twenty-five thousand [reeds] in breadth, and in length as one of the portions, from the east side to the west side: and the sanctuary shall be in its midst.
  
  9 The offering that you shall offer to Yahweh shall be twenty-five thousand [reeds] in length, and ten thousand in breadth.
  
  10 For these, even for the priests, shall be the holy offering: toward the north twenty-five thousand [in length], and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south twenty-five thousand in length: and the sanctuary of Yahweh shall be in its midst.
  
  11 [It shall be] for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept my instruction, who didn't go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.
  
  12 It shall be to them an offering from the offering of the land, a thing most holy, by the border of the Levites.
  
  13 Answerable to the border of the priests, the Levites shall have twenty-five thousand in length, and ten thousand in breadth: all the length shall be twenty-five thousand, and the breadth ten thousand.
  
  14 They shall sell none of it, nor exchange it, nor shall the first fruits of the land be alienated; for it is holy to Yahweh.
  
  15 The five thousand that are left in the breadth, in front of the twenty-five thousand, shall be for common use, for the city, for dwelling and for suburbs; and the city shall be in its midst.
  
  16 These shall be its measures: the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.
  
  17 The city shall have suburbs: toward the north two hundred fifty, and toward the south two hundred fifty, and toward the east two hundred fifty, and toward the west two hundred fifty.
  
  18 The remainder in the length, answerable to the holy offering, shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward; and it shall be answerable to the holy offering; and its increase shall be for food to those who labor in the city.
  
  19 Those who labor in the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.
  
  20 All the offering shall be twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand: you shall offer the holy offering foursquare, with the possession of the city.
  
  21 The residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy offering and of the possession of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand of the offering toward the east border, and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, answerable to the portions, it shall be for the prince: and the holy offering and the sanctuary of the house shall be in its midst.
  
  22 Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, it shall be for the prince.
  
  23 As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one [portion].
  
  24 By the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one [portion].
  
  25 By the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one [portion].
  
  26 By the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one [portion].
  
  27 By the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one [portion].
  
  28 By the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar to the waters of Meribath Kadesh, to the brook [of Egypt], to the great sea.
  
  29 This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their several portions, says the Lord Yahweh.
  
  30 These are the exits of the city: On the north side four thousand and five hundred [reeds] by measure;
  
  31 and the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel, three gates northward: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.
  
  32 At the east side four thousand and five hundred [reeds], and three gates: even the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.
  
  33 At the south side four thousand and five hundred [reeds] by measure, and three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.
  
  34 At the west side four thousand and five hundred [reeds], with their three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.
  
  35 It shall be eighteen thousand [reeds] around: and the name of the city from that day shall be, Yahweh is there.

  2 We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,
  
  3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.
  
  4 We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
  
  5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
  
  6 You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
  
  7 so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.
  
  8 For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out; so that we need not to say anything.
  
  9 For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God,

  6 וַֽיְחַלְּק֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ לַֽעֲבָר־בָּ֑הּ אַחְאָ֞ב הָלַ֨ךְ בְּדֶ֤רֶךְ אֶחָד֙ לְבַדּ֔וֹ וְעֹֽבַדְיָ֛הוּ הָלַ֥ךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ־אֶחָ֖ד לְבַדּֽוֹ׃
  
  7 וַיְהִ֤י עֹבַדְיָ֙הוּ֙ בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ וְהִנֵּ֥ה אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ לִקְרָאת֑וֹ וַיַּכִּרֵ֙הוּ֙ וַיִּפֹּ֣ל עַל־פָּנָ֔יו וַיֹּ֕אמֶר הַאַתָּ֥ה זֶ֖ה אֲדֹנִ֥י אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

  11 וְעַתָּ֖ה אַתָּ֣ה אֹמֵ֑ר לֵ֛ךְ אֱמֹ֥ר לַאדֹנֶ֖יךָ הִנֵּ֥ה אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃

  14 וְעַתָּה֙ אַתָּ֣ה אֹמֵ֔ר לֵ֛ךְ אֱמֹ֥ר לַֽאדֹנֶ֖יךָ הִנֵּ֣ה אֵלִיָּ֑הוּ וַהֲרָגָֽנִי׃
  
  15 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֵֽלִיָּ֔הוּ חַ֚י יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָמַ֖דְתִּי לְפָנָ֑יו כִּ֥י הַיּ֖וֹם אֵרָאֶ֥ה אֵלָֽיו׃

  20 וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח אַחְאָ֖ב בְּכָל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּקְבֹּ֥ץ אֶת־הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים אֶל־הַ֥ר הַכַּרְמֶֽל׃
  
  21 וַיִּגַּ֨שׁ אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֗ם וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ עַד־מָתַ֞י אַתֶּ֣ם פֹּסְחִים֮ עַל־שְׁתֵּ֣י הַסְּעִפִּים֒ אִם־יְהוָ֤ה הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ לְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֔יו וְאִם־הַבַּ֖עַל לְכ֣וּ אַחֲרָ֑יו וְלֹֽא־עָנ֥וּ הָעָ֛ם אֹת֖וֹ דָּבָֽר׃

  25 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלִיָּ֜הוּ לִנְבִיאֵ֣י הַבַּ֗עַל בַּחֲר֨וּ לָכֶ֜ם הַפָּ֤ר הָֽאֶחָד֙ וַעֲשׂ֣וּ רִאשֹׁנָ֔ה כִּ֥י אַתֶּ֖ם הָרַבִּ֑ים וְקִרְאוּ֙ בְּשֵׁ֣ם אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖שׁ לֹ֥א תָשִֽׂימוּ׃
  
  26 וַ֠יִּקְחוּ אֶת־הַפָּ֨ר אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֣ן לָהֶם֮ וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֒ וַיִּקְרְא֣וּ בְשֵׁם־הַ֠בַּעַל מֵהַבֹּ֨קֶר וְעַד־הַצָּהֳרַ֤יִם לֵאמֹר֙ הַבַּ֣עַל עֲנֵ֔נוּ וְאֵ֥ין ק֖וֹל וְאֵ֣ין עֹנֶ֑ה וַֽיְפַסְּח֔וּ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃
  
  27 וַיְהִ֨י בַֽצָּהֳרַ֜יִם וַיְהַתֵּ֧ל בָּהֶ֣ם אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ קִרְא֤וּ בְקוֹל־גָּדוֹל֙ כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֣ים ה֔וּא כִּ֣י שִׂ֧יחַ וְכִֽי־שִׂ֛יג ל֖וֹ וְכִֽי־דֶ֣רֶךְ ל֑וֹ אוּלַ֛י יָשֵׁ֥ן ה֖וּא וְיִקָֽץ׃
  
  28 וַֽיִּקְרְאוּ֙ בְּק֣וֹל גָּד֔וֹל וַיִּתְגֹּֽדְדוּ֙ כְּמִשְׁפָּטָ֔ם בַּחֲרָב֖וֹת וּבָֽרְמָחִ֑ים עַד־שְׁפָךְ־דָּ֖ם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
  
  29 וַֽיְהִי֙ כַּעֲבֹ֣ר הַֽצָּהֳרַ֔יִם וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֔וּ עַ֖ד לַעֲל֣וֹת הַמִּנְחָ֑ה וְאֵֽין־ק֥וֹל וְאֵין־עֹנֶ֖ה וְאֵ֥ין קָֽשֶׁב׃
  
  30 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלִיָּ֤הוּ לְכָל־הָעָם֙ גְּשׁ֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וַיִּגְּשׁ֥וּ כָל־הָעָ֖ם אֵלָ֑יו וַיְרַפֵּ֛א אֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח יְהוָ֖ה הֶהָרֽוּס׃
  
  31 וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֵלִיָּ֗הוּ שְׁתֵּ֤ים עֶשְׂרֵה֙ אֲבָנִ֔ים כְּמִסְפַּ֖ר שִׁבְטֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־יַעֲקֹ֑ב אֲשֶׁר֩ הָיָ֨ה דְבַר־יְהוָ֤ה אֵלָיו֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יִהְיֶ֥ה שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
  
  32 וַיִּבְנֶ֧ה אֶת־הָאֲבָנִ֛ים מִזְבֵּ֖חַ בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה וַיַּ֣עַשׂ תְּעָלָ֗ה כְּבֵית֙ סָאתַ֣יִם זֶ֔רַע סָבִ֖יב לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃
  
  33 וַֽיַּעֲרֹ֖ךְ אֶת־הָֽעֵצִ֑ים וַיְנַתַּח֙ אֶת־הַפָּ֔ר וַיָּ֖שֶׂם עַל־הָעֵצִֽים׃
  
  34 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר מִלְא֨וּ אַרְבָּעָ֤ה כַדִּים֙ מַ֔יִם וְיִֽצְק֥וּ עַל־הָעֹלָ֖ה וְעַל־הָעֵצִ֑ים וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שְׁנוּ֙ וַיִּשְׁנ֔וּ וַיֹּ֥אמֶר שַׁלֵּ֖שׁוּ וַיְשַׁלֵּֽשׁוּ׃

  42 וַיַּעֲלֶ֥ה אַחְאָ֖ב לֶאֱכֹ֣ל וְלִשְׁתּ֑וֹת וְאֵ֨לִיָּ֜הוּ עָלָ֨ה אֶל־רֹ֤אשׁ הַכַּרְמֶל֙ וַיִּגְהַ֣ר אַ֔רְצָה וַיָּ֥שֶׂם פָּנָ֖יו בֵּ֥ין *ברכו **בִּרְכָּֽיו׃

  44 וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּשְּׁבִעִ֔ית וַיֹּ֗אמֶר הִנֵּה־עָ֛ב קְטַנָּ֥ה כְּכַף־אִ֖ישׁ עֹלָ֣ה מִיָּ֑ם וַיֹּ֗אמֶר עֲלֵ֨ה אֱמֹ֤ר אֶל־אַחְאָב֙ אֱסֹ֣ר וָרֵ֔ד וְלֹ֥א יַעַצָרְכָ֖ה הַגָּֽשֶׁם׃
  
  45 וַיְהִ֣י ׀ עַד־כֹּ֣ה וְעַד־כֹּ֗ה וְהַשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ הִֽתְקַדְּרוּ֙ עָבִ֣ים וְר֔וּחַ וַיְהִ֖י גֶּ֣שֶׁם גָּד֑וֹל וַיִּרְכַּ֥ב אַחְאָ֖ב וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ יִזְרְעֶֽאלָה׃
  
  46 וְיַד־יְהוָ֗ה הָֽיְתָה֙ אֶל־אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ וַיְשַׁנֵּ֖ס מָתְנָ֑יו וַיָּ֙רָץ֙ לִפְנֵ֣י אַחְאָ֔ב עַד־בֹּאֲכָ֖ה יִזְרְעֶֽאלָה׃

  1 וְאֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הַשְּׁבָטִ֑ים מִקְצֵ֣ה צָפ֡וֹנָה אֶל־יַ֣ד דֶּֽרֶךְ־חֶתְלֹ֣ן ׀ לְֽבוֹא־חֲמָ֡ת חֲצַ֣ר עֵינָן֩ גְּב֨וּל דַּמֶּ֤שֶׂק צָפ֙וֹנָה֙ אֶל־יַ֣ד חֲמָ֔ת וְהָיוּ־ל֧וֹ פְאַת־קָדִ֛ים הַיָּ֖ם דָּ֥ן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  2 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל דָּ֗ן מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ים עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה אָשֵׁ֥ר אֶחָֽד׃
  
  3 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל אָשֵׁ֗ר מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ימָה וְעַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה נַפְתָּלִ֥י אֶחָֽד׃
  
  4 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל נַפְתָּלִ֗י מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛מָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃
  
  5 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל מְנַשֶּׁ֗ה מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛מָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה אֶפְרַ֥יִם אֶחָֽד׃
  
  6 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל אֶפְרַ֗יִם מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ים וְעַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה רְאוּבֵ֥ן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  7 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל רְאוּבֵ֗ן מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ים עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה יְהוּדָ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃
  
  8 וְעַל֙ גְּב֣וּל יְהוּדָ֔ה מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֖ים עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֑מָּה תִּהְיֶ֣ה הַתְּרוּמָ֣ה אֲ‍ֽשֶׁר־תָּרִ֡ימוּ חֲמִשָּׁה֩ וְעֶשְׂרִ֨ים אֶ֜לֶף רֹ֗חַב וְאֹ֜רֶךְ כְּאַחַ֤ד הַחֲלָקִים֙ מִפְּאַ֤ת קָדִ֙ימָה֙ עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֔מָּה וְהָיָ֥ה הַמִּקְדָּ֖שׁ בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
  
  9 הַתְּרוּמָ֕ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּרִ֖ימוּ לַֽיהוָ֑ה אֹ֗רֶךְ חֲמִשָּׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף וְרֹ֖חַב עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת אֲלָפִֽים׃
  
  10 וּ֠לְאֵ֜לֶּה תִּהְיֶ֣ה תְרֽוּמַת־הַקֹּדֶשׁ֮ לַכֹּֽהֲנִים֒ צָפ֜וֹנָה חֲמִשָּׁ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֣ים אֶ֗לֶף וְיָ֙מָּה֙ רֹ֚חַב עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֔ים וְקָדִ֗ימָה רֹ֚חַב עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֔ים וְנֶ֕גְבָּה אֹ֕רֶךְ חֲמִשָּׁ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים אָ֑לֶף וְהָיָ֥ה מִקְדַּשׁ־יְהוָ֖ה בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
  
  11 לַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים הַֽמְקֻדָּשׁ֙ מִבְּנֵ֣י צָד֔וֹק אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמְר֖וּ מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֑י אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־תָע֗וּ בִּתְעוֹת֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּע֖וּ הַלְוִיִּֽם׃
  
  12 וְהָיְתָ֨ה לָהֶ֧ם תְּרוּמִיָּ֛ה מִתְּרוּמַ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ קֹ֣דֶשׁ קָדָשִׁ֑ים אֶל־גְּב֖וּל הַלְוִיִּֽם׃
  
  13 וְהַלְוִיִּ֗ם לְעֻמַּת֙ גְּב֣וּל הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים חֲמִשָּׁ֨ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֙לֶף֙ אֹ֔רֶךְ וְרֹ֖חַב עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֑ים כָּל־אֹ֗רֶךְ חֲמִשָּׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף וְרֹ֖חַב עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת אֲלָפִֽים׃
  
  14 וְלֹא־יִמְכְּר֣וּ מִמֶּ֗נּוּ וְלֹ֥א יָמֵ֛ר וְלֹ֥א *יעבור **יַעֲבִ֖יר רֵאשִׁ֣ית הָאָ֑רֶץ כִּי־קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַיהוָֽה׃
  
  15 וַחֲמֵ֨שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֜ים הַנּוֹתָ֣ר בָּרֹ֗חַב עַל־פְּנֵ֨י חֲמִשָּׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף חֹֽל־ה֣וּא לָעִ֔יר לְמוֹשָׁ֖ב וּלְמִגְרָ֑שׁ וְהָיְתָ֥ה הָעִ֖יר *בתוכה **בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
  
  16 וְאֵלֶּה֮ מִדּוֹתֶיהָ֒ פְּאַ֣ת צָפ֗וֹן חֲמֵ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת אֲלָפִ֔ים וּפְאַת־נֶ֕גֶב חֲמֵ֥שׁ *חמש מֵא֖וֹת וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת אֲלָפִ֑ים וּמִפְּאַ֣ת קָדִ֗ים חֲמֵ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת אֲלָפִ֔ים וּפְאַת־יָ֕מָּה חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת וְאַרְבַּ֥עַת אֲלָפִֽים׃
  
  17 וְהָיָ֣ה מִגְרָשׁ֮ לָעִיר֒ צָפ֙וֹנָה֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתַ֔יִם וְנֶ֖גְבָּה חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם וְקָדִ֙ימָה֙ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתַ֔יִם וְיָ֖מָּה חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמָאתָֽיִם׃
  
  18 וְהַנּוֹתָ֨ר בָּאֹ֜רֶךְ לְעֻמַּ֣ת ׀ תְּרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֗דֶשׁ עֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים קָדִ֙ימָה֙ וַעֲשֶׂ֤רֶת אֲלָפִים֙ יָ֔מָּה וְהָיָ֕ה לְעֻמַּ֖ת תְּרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ וְהָיְתָ֤ה *תבואתה **תְבֽוּאָתוֹ֙ לְלֶ֔חֶם לְעֹבְדֵ֖י הָעִֽיר׃
  
  19 וְהָעֹבֵ֖ד הָעִ֑יר יַעַבְד֕וּהוּ מִכֹּ֖ל שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  20 כָּל־הַתְּרוּמָ֗ה חֲמִשָּׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ אֶ֔לֶף בַּחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים אָ֑לֶף רְבִיעִ֗ית תָּרִ֙ימוּ֙ אֶת־תְּרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ אֶל־אֲחֻזַּ֖ת הָעִֽיר׃
  
  21 וְהַנּוֹתָ֣ר לַנָּשִׂ֣יא מִזֶּ֣ה ׀ וּמִזֶּ֣ה ׀ לִתְרֽוּמַת־הַקֹּ֣דֶשׁ וְלַאֲחֻזַּ֪ת הָעִ֟יר אֶל־פְּנֵ֣י חֲמִשָּׁה֩ וְעֶשְׂרִ֨ים אֶ֥לֶף ׀ תְּרוּמָה֮ עַד־גְּב֣וּל קָדִימָה֒ וְיָ֗מָּה עַל־פְּ֠נֵי חֲמִשָּׁ֨ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֙לֶף֙ עַל־גְּב֣וּל יָ֔מָּה לְעֻמַּ֥ת חֲלָקִ֖ים לַנָּשִׂ֑יא וְהָֽיְתָה֙ תְּרוּמַ֣ת הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ וּמִקְדַּ֥שׁ הַבַּ֖יִת *בתוכה **בְּתוֹכֽוֹ׃
  
  22 וּמֵאֲחֻזַּ֤ת הַלְוִיִּם֙ וּמֵאֲחֻזַּ֣ת הָעִ֔יר בְּת֛וֹךְ אֲשֶׁ֥ר לַנָּשִׂ֖יא יִֽהְיֶ֑ה בֵּ֣ין ׀ גְּב֣וּל יְהוּדָ֗ה וּבֵין֙ גְּב֣וּל בִּנְיָמִ֔ן לַנָּשִׂ֖יא יִהְיֶֽה׃
  
  23 וְיֶ֖תֶר הַשְּׁבָטִ֑ים מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ימָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה בִּנְיָמִ֥ן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  24 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל בִּנְיָמִ֗ן מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ימָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה שִׁמְע֥וֹן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  25 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל שִׁמְע֗וֹן מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ימָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה יִשָׂשכָ֥ר אֶחָֽד׃
  
  26 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל יִשָׂשכָ֗ר מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛ימָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה זְבוּלֻ֥ן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  27 וְעַ֣ל ׀ גְּב֣וּל זְבוּלֻ֗ן מִפְּאַ֥ת קָדִ֛מָה עַד־פְּאַת־יָ֖מָּה גָּ֥ד אֶחָֽד׃
  
  28 וְעַל֙ גְּב֣וּל גָּ֔ד אֶל־פְּאַ֖ת נֶ֣גֶב תֵּימָ֑נָה וְהָיָ֨ה גְב֜וּל מִתָּמָ֗ר מֵ֚י מְרִיבַ֣ת קָדֵ֔שׁ נַחֲלָ֖ה עַל־הַיָּ֥ם הַגָּדֽוֹל׃
  
  29 זֹ֥את הָאָ֛רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־תַּפִּ֥ילוּ מִֽנַּחֲלָ֖ה לְשִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ מַחְלְקוֹתָ֔ם נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃
  
  30 וְאֵ֖לֶּה תּוֹצְאֹ֣ת הָעִ֑יר מִפְּאַ֣ת צָפ֔וֹן חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֛וֹת וְאַרְבַּ֥עַת אֲלָפִ֖ים מִדָּֽה׃
  
  31 וְשַׁעֲרֵ֣י הָעִ֗יר עַל־שְׁמוֹת֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שְׁעָרִ֥ים שְׁלוֹשָׁ֖ה צָפ֑וֹנָה שַׁ֣עַר רְאוּבֵ֞ן אֶחָ֗ד שַׁ֤עַר יְהוּדָה֙ אֶחָ֔ד שַׁ֥עַר לֵוִ֖י אֶחָֽד׃
  
  32 וְאֶל־פְּאַ֣ת קָדִ֗ימָה חֲמֵ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ וְאַרְבַּ֣עַת אֲלָפִ֔ים וּשְׁעָרִ֖ים שְׁלֹשָׁ֑ה וְשַׁ֨עַר יוֹסֵ֜ף אֶחָ֗ד שַׁ֤עַר בִּנְיָמִן֙ אֶחָ֔ד שַׁ֥עַר דָּ֖ן אֶחָֽד׃
  
  33 וּפְאַת־נֶ֗גְבָּה חֲמֵ֨שׁ מֵא֜וֹת וְאַרְבַּ֤עַת אֲלָפִים֙ מִדָּ֔ה וּשְׁעָרִ֖ים שְׁלֹשָׁ֑ה שַׁ֣עַר שִׁמְע֞וֹן אֶחָ֗ד שַׁ֤עַר יִשָּׂשכָר֙ אֶחָ֔ד שַׁ֥עַר זְבוּלֻ֖ן אֶחָֽד׃

  1 Παῦλος καὶ Σιλουανὸς καὶ Τιμόθεος τῇ ἐκκλησίᾳ Θεσσαλονικέων ἐν θεῷ πατρὶ καὶ κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ· χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη.
  
  2 Εὐχαριστοῦμεν τῷ θεῷ πάντοτε περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν μνείαν ποιούμενοι ἐπὶ τῶν προσευχῶν ἡμῶν, ἀδιαλείπτως
  
  3 μνημονεύοντες ὑμῶν τοῦ ἔργου τῆς πίστεως καὶ τοῦ κόπου τῆς ἀγάπης καὶ τῆς ὑπομονῆς τῆς ἐλπίδος τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ πατρὸς ἡμῶν,
  
  4 εἰδότες, ἀδελφοὶ ἠγαπημένοι ὑπὸ θεοῦ, τὴν ἐκλογὴν ὑμῶν,
  
  5 ὅτι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ἡμῶν οὐκ ἐγενήθη εἰς ὑμᾶς ἐν λόγῳ μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν δυνάμει καὶ ἐν πνεύματι ἁγίῳ καὶ πληροφορίᾳ πολλῇ, καθὼς οἴδατε οἷοι ἐγενήθημεν ἐν ὑμῖν δι’ ὑμᾶς·
  
  6 καὶ ὑμεῖς μιμηταὶ ἡμῶν ἐγενήθητε καὶ τοῦ κυρίου, δεξάμενοι τὸν λόγον ἐν θλίψει πολλῇ μετὰ χαρᾶς πνεύματος ἁγίου,
  
  7 ὥστε γενέσθαι ὑμᾶς τύπον πᾶσιν τοῖς πιστεύουσιν ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἀχαΐᾳ.
  
  8 ἀφ’ ὑμῶν γὰρ ἐξήχηται ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου οὐ μόνον ἐν τῇ Μακεδονίᾳ καὶ Ἀχαΐᾳ, ἀλλ’ ἐν παντὶ τόπῳ ἡ πίστις ὑμῶν ἡ πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἐξελήλυθεν, ὥστε μὴ χρείαν ἔχειν ἡμᾶς λαλεῖν τι·
  
  9 αὐτοὶ γὰρ περὶ ἡμῶν ἀπαγγέλλουσιν ὁποίαν εἴσοδον ἔσχομεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς, καὶ πῶς ἐπεστρέψατε πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ἀπὸ τῶν εἰδώλων δουλεύειν θεῷ ζῶντι καὶ ἀληθινῷ,
  
  10 καὶ ἀναμένειν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν, ὃν ἤγειρεν ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν, Ἰησοῦν τὸν ῥυόμενον ἡμᾶς ἐκ τῆς ὀργῆς τῆς ἐρχομένης.
