- 2 Rois 3
  
  1 Joram, fils d'Achab, commença de régner sur Israël à Samarie la dix-huitième année de Josaphat, roi de Juda ; et il régna douze ans.
  
  2 Et il fit ce qui est mauvais aux yeux de l'Éternel, non pas toutefois comme son père et sa mère ; et il ôta la stèle de Baal que son père avait faite.
  
  3 Seulement il s'attacha aux péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nebath, par lesquels il avait fait pécher Israël ; il ne s'en détourna point.
  
  4 Or Mésha, roi de Moab, possédait des troupeaux, et payait au roi d'Israël cent mille agneaux et cent mille béliers avec leur laine.
  
  5 Et il arriva, à la mort d'Achab, que le roi de Moab se rebella contre le roi d'Israël.
  
  6 Et le roi Joram sortit en ce temps-là de Samarie, et passa en revue tout Israël.
  
  7 Et il s'en alla, et envoya vers Josaphat, roi de Juda, disant : Le roi de Moab s'est rebellé contre moi ; viendras-tu avec moi à la guerre contre Moab ? Et il dit : J'y monterai ; moi je suis comme toi, mon peuple comme ton peuple, mes chevaux comme tes chevaux.
  
  8 Et il dit : Par quel chemin monterons-nous ? Et il dit : Par le chemin du désert d'Édom.
  
  9 Et le roi d'Israël, et le roi de Juda, et le roi d'Édom, partirent ; et ils firent un circuit de sept jours de chemin. Et il n'y avait pas d'eau pour l'armée et pour le bétail qui les suivaient.
  
  10 Et le roi d'Israël dit : Hélas ! l'Éternel a appelé ces trois rois pour les livrer en la main de Moab.
  
  11 Et Josaphat dit : N'y a-t-il point ici un prophète de l'Éternel, afin que nous consultions l'Éternel par lui ? Et un des serviteurs du roi d'Israël répondit et dit : Il y a ici Élisée, fils de Shaphath, qui versait l'eau sur les mains d'Élie.
  
  12 Et Josaphat dit : La parole de l'Éternel est avec lui. Et le roi d'Israël, et Josaphat, et le roi d'Édom, descendirent vers lui.
  
  13 Et Élisée dit au roi d'Israël : Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi ? Va vers les prophètes de ton père et vers les prophètes de ta mère. Et le roi d'Israël lui dit : Non ; car l'Éternel a appelé ces trois rois pour les livrer en la main de Moab.
  
  14 Et Élisée dit : L'Éternel des armées, devant qui je me tiens, est vivant, que si je n'avais égard à la personne de Josaphat, roi de Juda, je ne te regarderais pas, et je ne te verrais pas.
  
  15 Et maintenant amenez-moi un joueur de harpe. Et il arriva, comme le joueur de harpe jouait, que la main de l'Éternel fut sur Élisée.
  
  16 Et il dit : Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Qu'on remplisse de fosses cette vallée.
  
  17 Car ainsi dit l'Éternel : Vous ne verrez pas de vent, et vous ne verrez pas de pluie, et cette vallée sera remplie d'eau, et vous boirez, vous et vos troupeaux et votre bétail.
  
  18 Et cela est peu de chose aux yeux de l'Éternel : il livrera aussi Moab entre vos mains ;
  
  19 et vous frapperez toutes les villes fortes et toutes les villes principales, et vous abattrez tous les bons arbres, et vous boucherez toutes les sources d'eau, et vous ruinerez avec des pierres toutes les bonnes portions de terre.
  
  20 Et il arriva, au matin, à l'heure d'offrir l'offrande, que voici, des eaux vinrent du chemin d'Édom, et le pays fut rempli d'eau.
  
  21 Et tout Moab apprit que ces rois étaient montés pour leur faire la guerre, et ils convoquèrent tout homme qui était en âge de ceindre une ceinture, -et au-dessus ; et ils se tinrent sur la frontière.
  
  22 Et ils se levèrent de bon matin ; et le soleil se levait sur les eaux, et Moab vit en face de lui les eaux rouges comme du sang.
  
  23 Et ils dirent : C'est du sang ! Ces rois se sont certainement détruits et se sont frappés l'un l'autre ; et maintenant, Moab, au butin !
  
  24 Et ils vinrent au camp d'Israël, et les Israélites se levèrent et frappèrent les Moabites, qui s'enfuirent devant eux. Et ils entrèrent dans le pays, et frappèrent Moab ;
  
  25 et ils détruisirent les villes ; et ils jetèrent chacun sa pierre dans toutes les bonnes portions de terre, et les en remplirent ; et ils bouchèrent toutes les sources d'eau et abattirent tous les bons arbres,... jusqu'à ne laisser à Kir-Haréseth que ses pierres : les frondeurs l'environnèrent et la frappèrent.
  
  26 Et le roi de Moab vit que la bataille devenait trop forte pour lui, et il prit avec lui sept cents hommes tirant l'épée, pour se frayer un chemin jusqu'au roi d'Édom ; mais ils ne purent pas.
  
  27 Et il prit son fils, le premier-né, qui devait régner à sa place, et il l'offrit en holocauste sur la muraille. Et il y eut une grande indignation contre Israël ; et ils se retirèrent de lui, et s'en retournèrent dans leur pays.
  
  Daniel 7
  
  1 La première année de Belshatsar, roi de Babylone, Daniel vit un songe, et des visions de sa tête, sur son lit. Alors il écrivit le songe, et raconta la somme des choses.
  
  2 Daniel prit la parole et dit : Je voyais dans ma vision de nuit, et voici, les quatre vents des cieux se déchaînèrent sur la grande mer.
  
  3 Et quatre grandes bêtes montèrent de la mer, différentes l'une de l'autre.
  
  4 La première était comme un lion, et elle avait des ailes d'aigle. Je vis jusqu'à ce que ses ailes furent arrachées, et qu'elle fut soulevée de terre, et mise debout sur ses pieds, comme un homme ; et un coeur d'homme lui fut donné.
  
  5 Et voici une autre, une seconde bête, semblable à un ours, et elle se dressait sur un côté. Et elle avait trois côtes dans sa gueule, entre ses dents ; et on lui dit ainsi : Lève-toi, mange beaucoup de chair.
  
  6 Après cela, je vis, et en voici une autre, -comme un léopard ; et elle avait quatre ailes d'oiseau sur son dos ; et la bête avait quatre têtes ; et la domination lui fut donnée.
  
  7 Après cela je vis dans les visions de la nuit, et voici une quatrième bête, effrayante et terrible et extraordinairement puissante, et elle avait de grandes dents de fer : elle dévorait et écrasait ; et ce qui restait, elle le foulait avec ses pieds. Et elle était différente de toutes les bêtes qui étaient avant elle ; et elle avait dix cornes.
  
  8 Je considérais les cornes, et voici une autre corne, petite, monta au milieu d'elles, et trois des premières furent arrachées devant elle. Et voici, il y avait à cette corne des yeux comme des yeux d'homme, et une bouche proférant de grandes choses.
  
  9 Je vis jusqu'à ce que les trônes furent placés, et que l'Ancien des jours s'assit. Son vêtement était blanc comme la neige, et les cheveux de sa tête, comme de la laine pure ; son trône était des flammes de feu ; les roues du trône, un feu brûlant.
  
  10 Un fleuve de feu coulait et sortait de devant lui. mille milliers le servaient, et des myriades de myriades se tenaient devant lui. Le jugement s'assit, et les livres furent ouverts.
  
  11 Je vis alors, à cause de la voix des grandes paroles que la corne proférait, -je vis jusqu'à ce que la bête fut tuée ; et son corps fut détruit et elle fut livrée pour être brûlée au feu.
  
  12 Quant aux autres bêtes, la domination leur fut ôtée ; mais une prolongation de vie leur fut donnée, jusqu'à une saison et un temps.
  
  13 Je voyais dans les visions de la nuit, et voici, quelqu'un comme un fils d'homme vint avec les nuées des cieux, et il avança jusqu'à l'Ancien des jours, et on le fit approcher de lui.
  
  14 Et on lui donna la domination, et l'honneur, et la royauté, pour que tous les peuples, les peuplades et les langues, le servissent. Sa domination est une domination éternelle, qui ne passera pas, et son royaume, un royaume qui ne sera pas détruit.
  
  15 Moi, Daniel, je fus troublé dans mon esprit au dedans de mon corps, et les visions de ma tête m'effrayèrent.
  
  16 Je m'approchai de l'un de ceux qui se tenaient là, et je lui demandai la vérité touchant tout cela. Et il me la dit, et me fit savoir l'interprétation des choses :
  
  17 Ces grandes bêtes, qui sont quatre, sont quatre rois qui surgiront de la terre ;
  
  18 et les saints des lieux très-hauts recevront le royaume, et posséderont le royaume à jamais, et aux siècles des siècles.
  
  19 Alors je désirai de savoir la vérité touchant la quatrième bête, qui était différente d'elles toutes, extraordinairement terrible : ses dents étaient de fer, et ses ongles, d'airain ; elle dévorait, écrasait, et foulait avec ses pieds ce qui restait ;...
  
  20 et touchant les dix cornes qui étaient sur sa tête, et touchant l'autre qui montait, et devant laquelle trois étaient tombées, cette corne qui avait des yeux, et une bouche proférant de grandes choses, et dont l'aspect était plus grand que celui des autres.
  
  21 Je regardais ; et cette corne fit la guerre contre les saints, et prévalut contre eux,
  
  22 jusqu'à ce que l'Ancien des jours vint, et que le jugement fut donné aux saints des lieux très-hauts, et que le temps arriva où les saints possédèrent le royaume.
  
  23 Il dit ainsi : La quatrième bête sera un quatrième royaume sur la terre, qui sera différent de tous les royaumes, et dévorera toute la terre, et la foulera aux pieds et l'écrasera.
  
  24 Et les dix cornes,... ce sont dix rois qui surgiront du royaume. Et un autre surgira après eux ; et il sera différent des premiers ; et il abattra trois rois.
  
  25 Et il proférera des paroles contre le Très-haut, et il consumera les saints des lieux très-hauts, et il pensera changer les saisons et la loi, et elles seront livrées en sa main jusqu'à un temps et des temps et une moitié de temps.
  
  26 Et le jugement s'assiéra ; et on lui ôtera la domination, pour la détruire et la faire périr jusqu'à la fin.
  
  27 Et le royaume, et la domination, et la grandeur des royaumes sous tous les cieux, seront donnés au peuple des saints des lieux très-hauts. Son royaume est un royaume éternel, et toutes les dominations le serviront et lui obéiront.
  
  28 Jusqu'ici, la fin de la chose. Quant à moi, Daniel, mes pensées me troublèrent beaucoup, et ma couleur fut changée en moi. Mais je gardai la chose dans mon coeur.
  
  2 Thessaloniciens 3
  
  1 Au reste, frères, priez pour nous, afin que la parole du Seigneur coure et qu'elle soit glorifiée, comme elle l'est aussi chez vous ;
  
  2 et que nous soyons délivrés des hommes fâcheux et méchants, car la foi n'est pas de tous.
  
  3 mais le Seigneur est fidèle, qui vous affermira et vous gardera du méchant.
  
  4 Mais nous avons confiance dans le Seigneur à votre égard, que vous faites et que vous ferez ce que nous avons commandé.
  
  5 Or que le Seigneur incline vos coeurs à l'amour de Dieu et à la patience du Christ !
  
  6 Mais nous vous enjoignons, frères, au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, de vous retirer de tout frère qui marche dans le désordre, et non pas selon l'enseignement qu'il a reçu de nous.
  
  7 Car vous savez vous-mêmes comment il faut que vous nous imitiez ; car nous n'avons pas marché dans le désordre au milieu de vous,
  
  8 ni n'avons mangé du pain chez personne gratuitement, mais dans la peine et le labeur, travaillant nuit et jour pour n'être à charge à aucun de vous ;
  
  9 que nous n'en ayons pas le droit, mais afin de nous donner nous-mêmes à vous pour modèle, pour que vous nous imitiez.
  
  10 Car aussi, quand nous étions auprès de vous, nous vous avons enjoint ceci : que si quelqu'un ne veut pas travailler, qu'il ne mange pas non plus.
  
  11 Car nous apprenons qu'il y en a quelques-uns parmi vous qui marchent dans le désordre, ne travaillant pas du tout, mais se mêlant de tout.
  
  12 Mais nous enjoignons à ceux qui sont tels, et nous les exhortons dans le Seigneur Jésus Christ, de manger leur propre pain en travaillant paisiblement.
  
  13 Mais vous, frères, ne vous lassez pas en faisant le bien.
  
  14 Et si quelqu'un n'obéit pas à notre parole qui vous est adressée dans cette lettre, notez-le et n'ayez pas de commerce avec lui, afin qu'il en ait de la honte ;
  
  15 et ne le tenez pas pour un ennemi, mais avertissez-le comme un frère.
  
  16 Or le Seigneur de paix lui-même vous donne toujours la paix en toute manière. Le Seigneur soit avec vous tous !
  
  17 La salutation, de la propre main de moi, Paul ; ce qui est le signe dans chaque lettre : ainsi j'écris.
  
  18 Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec vous tous !

  1 Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years.
  
  2 He did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, but not like his father, and like his mother; for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made.
  
  3 Nevertheless he held to the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin; he didn't depart from it.
  
  4 Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheep breeder; and he rendered to the king of Israel the wool of one hundred thousand lambs, and of one hundred thousand rams.
  
  5 But it happened, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
  
  6 King Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time, and mustered all Israel.
  
  7 He went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me against Moab to battle?" He said, "I will go up. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."
  
  8 He said, "Which way shall we go up?" He answered, "The way of the wilderness of Edom."
  
  9 So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom; and they made a circuit of seven days' journey. There was no water for the army, nor for the animals that followed them.
  
  10 The king of Israel said, "Alas! For Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."
  
  11 But Jehoshaphat said, "Isn't there here a prophet of Yahweh, that we may inquire of Yahweh by him?" One of the king of Israel's servants answered, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah."
  
  12 Jehoshaphat said, "The word of Yahweh is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
  
  13 Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother." The king of Israel said to him, "No; for Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."
  
  14 Elisha said, "As Yahweh of Armies lives, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I respect the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward you, nor see you.
  
  15 But now bring me a minstrel." It happened, when the minstrel played, that the hand of Yahweh came on him.
  
  16 He said, "Thus says Yahweh, 'Make this valley full of trenches.'
  
  17 For thus says Yahweh, 'You will not see wind, neither will you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your animals.
  
  18 This is but a light thing in the sight of Yahweh. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
  
  19 You shall strike every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.'"
  
  20 It happened in the morning, about the time of offering the offering, that behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
  
  21 Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all who were able to put on armor, and upward, and stood on the border.
  
  22 They rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water over against them as red as blood.
  
  23 They said, "This is blood. The kings are surely destroyed, and they have struck each other. Now therefore, Moab, to the spoil!"
  
  24 When they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and struck the Moabites, so that they fled before them; and they went forward into the land smiting the Moabites.
  
  25 They beat down the cities; and on every good piece of land they cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the springs of water, and felled all the good trees, until in Kir Hareseth only they left its stones; however the men armed with slings went about it, and struck it.
  
  26 When the king of Moab saw that the battle was too severe for him, he took with him seven hundred men who drew sword, to break through to the king of Edom; but they could not.
  
  27 Then he took his eldest son who would have reigned in his place, and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. There was great wrath against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
  
  Daniel 7
  
  1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head on his bed: then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.
  
  2 Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the sky broke forth on the great sea.
  
  3 Four great animals came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
  
  4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I saw until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man; and a man's heart was given to it.
  
  5 Behold, another animal, a second, like a bear; and it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth: and they said thus to it, Arise, devour much flesh.
  
  6 After this I saw, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the animal had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
  
  7 After this I saw in the night visions, and, behold, a fourth animal, awesome and powerful, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet: and it was diverse from all the animals that were before it; and it had ten horns.
  
  8 I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.
  
  9 I saw until thrones were placed, and one who was ancient of days sat: his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, [and] its wheels burning fire.
  
  10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
  
  11 I saw at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke; I saw even until the animal was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burned with fire.
  
  12 As for the rest of the animals, their dominion was taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
  
  13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
  
  14 There was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
  
  15 As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
  
  16 I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
  
  17 These great animals, which are four, are four kings, who shall arise out of the earth.
  
  18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.
  
  19 Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth animal, which was diverse from all of them, exceedingly terrible, whose teeth were of iron, and its nails of brass; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet;
  
  20 and concerning the ten horns that were on its head, and the other [horn] which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke great things, whose look was more stout than its fellows.
  
  21 I saw, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
  
  22 until the ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
  
  23 Thus he said, The fourth animal shall be a fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be diverse from all the kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
  
  24 As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom shall ten kings arise: and another shall arise after them; and he shall be diverse from the former, and he shall put down three kings.
  
  25 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High; and he shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
  
  26 But the judgment shall be set, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.
  
  27 The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole sky, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High: his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
  
  28 Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts much troubled me, and my face was changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
  
  2 Thessaloniciens 3
  
  1 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you;
  
  2 and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
  
  3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one.
  
  4 We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.
  
  5 May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.
  
  6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.
  
  7 For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn't behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
  
  8 neither did we eat bread from anyone's hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you;
  
  9 not because we don't have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
  
  10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: "If anyone will not work, neither let him eat."
  
  11 For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies.
  
  12 Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
  
  13 But you, brothers, don't be weary in doing well.
  
  14 If any man doesn't obey our word in this letter, note that man, that you have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.
  
  15 Don't count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
  
  16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.
  
  17 The greeting of me, Paul, with my own hand, which is the sign in every letter: this is how I write.
  
  18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

  5 וַיְהִ֖י כְּמ֣וֹת אַחְאָ֑ב וַיִּפְשַׁ֥ע מֶֽלֶךְ־מוֹאָ֖ב בְּמֶ֥לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  6 וַיֵּצֵ֞א הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ יְהוֹרָ֛ם בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא מִשֹּׁמְר֑וֹן וַיִּפְקֹ֖ד אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
  
  7 וַיֵּ֡לֶךְ וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ אֶל־יְהוֹשָׁפָ֨ט מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר מֶ֤לֶךְ מוֹאָב֙ פָּשַׁ֣ע בִּ֔י הֲתֵלֵ֥ךְ אִתִּ֛י אֶל־מוֹאָ֖ב לַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶעֱלֶ֔ה כָּמ֧וֹנִי כָמ֛וֹךָ כְּעַמִּ֥י כְעַמֶּ֖ךָ כְּסוּסַ֥י כְּסוּסֶֽיךָ׃
  
  8 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר אֵי־זֶ֥ה הַדֶּ֖רֶךְ נַעֲלֶ֑ה וַיֹּ֕אמֶר דֶּ֖רֶךְ מִדְבַּ֥ר אֱדֽוֹם׃
  
  9 וַיֵּלֶךְ֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל וּמֶֽלֶך־יְהוּדָה֙ וּמֶ֣לֶךְ אֱד֔וֹם וַיָּסֹ֕בּוּ דֶּ֖רֶךְ שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים וְלֹא־הָיָ֨ה מַ֧יִם לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֛ה וְלַבְּהֵמָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּרַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃
  
  10 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אֲהָ֕הּ כִּֽי־קָרָ֣א יְהוָ֗ה לִשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙ הַמְּלָכִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה לָתֵ֥ת אוֹתָ֖ם בְּיַד־מוֹאָֽב׃
  
  11 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוֹשָׁפָ֗ט הַאֵ֨ין פֹּ֤ה נָבִיא֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וְנִדְרְשָׁ֥ה אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה מֵאוֹת֑וֹ וַ֠יַּעַן אֶחָ֞ד מֵעַבְדֵ֤י מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר פֹּ֚ה אֱלִישָׁ֣ע בֶּן־שָׁפָ֔ט אֲשֶׁר־יָ֥צַק מַ֖יִם עַל־יְדֵ֥י אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃
  
  12 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ יְה֣וֹשָׁפָ֔ט יֵ֥שׁ אוֹת֖וֹ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֑ה וַיֵּרְד֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו מֶ֧לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וִיהוֹשָׁפָ֖ט וּמֶ֥לֶךְ אֱדֽוֹם׃
  
  13 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלִישָׁ֜ע אֶל־מֶ֤לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מַה־לִּ֣י וָלָ֔ךְ לֵ֚ךְ אֶל־נְבִיאֵ֣י אָבִ֔יךָ וְאֶל־נְבִיאֵ֖י אִמֶּ֑ךָ וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אַ֗ל כִּֽי־קָרָ֤א יְהוָה֙ לִשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙ הַמְּלָכִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה לָתֵ֥ת אוֹתָ֖ם בְּיַד־מוֹאָֽב׃
  
  14 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלִישָׁ֗ע חַי־יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָמַ֣דְתִּי לְפָנָ֔יו כִּ֗י לוּלֵ֛י פְּנֵ֛י יְהוֹשָׁפָ֥ט מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֖ה אֲנִ֣י נֹשֵׂ֑א אִם־אַבִּ֥יט אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְאִם־אֶרְאֶֽךָּ׃
  
  15 וְעַתָּ֖ה קְחוּ־לִ֣י מְנַגֵּ֑ן וְהָיָה֙ כְּנַגֵּ֣ן הַֽמְנַגֵּ֔ן וַתְּהִ֥י עָלָ֖יו יַד־יְהוָֽה׃
  
  16 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה עָשֹׂ֛ה הַנַּ֥חַל הַזֶּ֖ה גֵּבִ֥ים ׀ גֵּבִֽים׃
  
  17 כִּֽי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לֹֽא־תִרְא֥וּ ר֙וּחַ֙ וְלֹֽא־תִרְא֣וּ גֶ֔שֶׁם וְהַנַּ֥חַל הַה֖וּא יִמָּ֣לֵא מָ֑יִם וּשְׁתִיתֶ֛ם אַתֶּ֥ם וּמִקְנֵיכֶ֖ם וּֽבְהֶמְתְּכֶֽם׃
  
  18 וְנָקַ֥ל זֹ֖את בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְנָתַ֥ן אֶת־מוֹאָ֖ב בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃
  
  19 וְהִכִּיתֶ֞ם כָּל־עִ֤יר מִבְצָר֙ וְכָל־עִ֣יר מִבְח֔וֹר וְכָל־עֵ֥ץ טוֹב֙ תַּפִּ֔ילוּ וְכָל־מַעְיְנֵי־מַ֖יִם תִּסְתֹּ֑מוּ וְכֹל֙ הַחֶלְקָ֣ה הַטּוֹבָ֔ה תַּכְאִ֖בוּ בָּאֲבָנִֽים׃
  
  20 וַיְהִ֤י בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ כַּעֲל֣וֹת הַמִּנְחָ֔ה וְהִנֵּה־מַ֥יִם בָּאִ֖ים מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ אֱד֑וֹם וַתִּמָּלֵ֥א הָאָ֖רֶץ אֶת־הַמָּֽיִם׃
  
  21 וְכָל־מוֹאָב֙ שָֽׁמְע֔וּ כִּֽי־עָל֥וּ הַמְּלָכִ֖ים לְהִלָּ֣חֶם בָּ֑ם וַיִּצָּעֲק֗וּ מִכֹּ֨ל חֹגֵ֤ר חֲגֹרָה֙ וָמַ֔עְלָה וַיַּעַמְד֖וּ עַֽל־הַגְּבֽוּל׃
  
  22 וַיַּשְׁכִּ֣ימוּ בַבֹּ֔קֶר וְהַשֶּׁ֖מֶשׁ זָרְחָ֣ה עַל־הַמָּ֑יִם וַיִּרְא֨וּ מוֹאָ֥ב מִנֶּ֛גֶד אֶת־הַמַּ֖יִם אֲדֻמִּ֥ים כַּדָּֽם׃
  
  23 וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ דָּ֣ם זֶ֔ה הָחֳרֵ֤ב נֶֽחֶרְבוּ֙ הַמְּלָכִ֔ים וַיַּכּ֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵ֑הוּ וְעַתָּ֥ה לַשָּׁלָ֖ל מוֹאָֽב׃
  
  24 וַיָּבֹאוּ֮ אֶל־מַחֲנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ וַיָּקֻ֤מוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וַיַּכּ֣וּ אֶת־מוֹאָ֔ב וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם *ויבו־**וַיַּכּוּ־בָ֔הּ וְהַכּ֖וֹת אֶת־מוֹאָֽב׃
  
  25 וְהֶעָרִ֣ים יַהֲרֹ֡סוּ וְכָל־חֶלְקָ֣ה ט֠וֹבָה יַשְׁלִ֨יכוּ אִישׁ־אַבְנ֜וֹ וּמִלְא֗וּהָ וְכָל־מַעְיַן־מַ֤יִם יִסְתֹּ֙מוּ֙ וְכָל־עֵֽץ־ט֣וֹב יַפִּ֔ילוּ עַד־הִשְׁאִ֧יר אֲבָנֶ֛יהָ בַּקִּ֖יר חֲרָ֑שֶׂת וַיָּסֹ֥בּוּ הַקַּלָּעִ֖ים וַיַּכּֽוּהָ׃
  
  26 וַיַּרְא֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ מוֹאָ֔ב כִּֽי־חָזַ֥ק מִמֶּ֖נּוּ הַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וַיִּקַּ֣ח א֠וֹתוֹ שְׁבַע־מֵא֨וֹת אִ֜ישׁ שֹׁ֣לֵֽף חֶ֗רֶב לְהַבְקִ֛יעַ אֶל־מֶ֥לֶךְ אֱד֖וֹם וְלֹ֥א יָכֹֽלוּ׃
  
  27 וַיִּקַּח֩ אֶת־בְּנ֨וֹ הַבְּכ֜וֹר אֲשֶׁר־יִמְלֹ֣ךְ תַּחְתָּ֗יו וַיַּעֲלֵ֤הוּ עֹלָה֙ עַל־הַ֣חֹמָ֔ה וַיְהִ֥י קֶצֶף־גָּד֖וֹל עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּסְעוּ֙ מֵֽעָלָ֔יו וַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּ לָאָֽרֶץ׃

  1 בִּשְׁנַ֣ת חֲדָ֗ה לְבֵלְאשַׁצַּר֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל דָּנִיֵּאל֙ חֵ֣לֶם חֲזָ֔ה וְחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשֵׁ֖הּ עַֽל־מִשְׁכְּבֵ֑הּ בֵּאדַ֙יִן֙ חֶלְמָ֣א כְתַ֔ב רֵ֥אשׁ מִלִּ֖ין אֲמַֽר׃
  
  2 עָנֵ֤ה דָנִיֵּאל֙ וְאָמַ֔ר חָזֵ֥ה הֲוֵ֛ית בְּחֶזְוִ֖י עִם־לֵֽילְיָ֑א וַאֲר֗וּ אַרְבַּע֙ רוּחֵ֣י שְׁמַיָּ֔א מְגִיחָ֖ן לְיַמָּ֥א רַבָּֽא׃
  
  3 וְאַרְבַּ֤ע חֵיוָן֙ רַבְרְבָ֔ן סָלְקָ֖ן מִן־יַמָּ֑א שָׁנְיָ֖ן דָּ֥א מִן־דָּֽא׃
  
  4 קַדְמָיְתָ֣א כְאַרְיֵ֔ה וְגַפִּ֥ין דִּֽי־נְשַׁ֖ר לַ֑הּ חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֡ית עַד֩ דִּי־מְּרִ֨יטוּ גַפַּ֜יהּ וּנְטִ֣ילַת מִן־אַרְעָ֗א וְעַל־רַגְלַ֙יִן֙ כֶּאֱנָ֣שׁ הֳקִימַ֔ת וּלְבַ֥ב אֱנָ֖שׁ יְהִ֥יב לַֽהּ׃
  
  5 וַאֲר֣וּ חֵיוָה֩ אָחֳרִ֨י תִנְיָנָ֜ה דָּמְיָ֣ה לְדֹ֗ב וְלִשְׂטַר־חַד֙ הֳקִמַ֔ת וּתְלָ֥ת עִלְעִ֛ין בְּפֻמַּ֖הּ בֵּ֣ין *שניה **שִׁנַּ֑הּ וְכֵן֙ אָמְרִ֣ין לַ֔הּ ק֥וּמִֽי אֲכֻ֖לִי בְּשַׂ֥ר שַׂגִּֽיא׃
  
  6 בָּאתַ֨ר דְּנָ֜ה חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֗ית וַאֲר֤וּ אָֽחֳרִי֙ כִּנְמַ֔ר וְלַ֨הּ גַּפִּ֥ין אַרְבַּ֛ע דִּי־ע֖וֹף עַל־*גביה **גַּבַּ֑הּ וְאַרְבְּעָ֤ה רֵאשִׁין֙ לְחֵ֣יוְתָ֔א וְשָׁלְטָ֖ן יְהִ֥יב לַֽהּ׃
  
  7 בָּאתַ֣ר דְּנָה֩ חָזֵ֨ה הֲוֵ֜ית בְּחֶזְוֵ֣י לֵֽילְיָ֗א וַאֲר֣וּ חֵיוָ֣ה *רביעיה **רְֽבִיעָאָ֡ה דְּחִילָה֩ וְאֵֽימְתָנִ֨י וְתַקִּיפָ֜א יַתִּ֗ירָא וְשִׁנַּ֨יִן דִּֽי־פַרְזֶ֥ל לַהּ֙ רַבְרְבָ֔ן אָֽכְלָ֣ה וּמַדֱּקָ֔ה וּשְׁאָרָ֖א *ברגליה **בְּרַגְלַ֣הּ רָפְסָ֑ה וְהִ֣יא מְשַׁנְּיָ֗ה מִן־כָּל־חֵֽיוָתָא֙ דִּ֣י קָֽדָמַ֔יהּ וְקַרְנַ֥יִן עֲשַׂ֖ר לַֽהּ׃
  
  8 מִשְׂתַּכַּ֨ל הֲוֵ֜ית בְּקַרְנַיָּ֗א וַ֠אֲלוּ קֶ֣רֶן אָחֳרִ֤י זְעֵירָה֙ סִלְקָ֣ת *ביניהון **בֵּֽינֵיהֵ֔ן וּתְלָ֗ת מִן־קַרְנַיָּא֙ קַדְמָ֣יָתָ֔א *אתעקרו **אֶתְעֲקַ֖רָה מִן־*קדמיה **קֳדָמַ֑הּ וַאֲל֨וּ עַיְנִ֜ין כְּעַיְנֵ֤י אֲנָשָׁא֙ בְּקַרְנָא־דָ֔א וּפֻ֖ם מְמַלִּ֥ל רַבְרְבָֽן׃
  
  9 חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֗ית עַ֣ד דִּ֤י כָרְסָוָן֙ רְמִ֔יו וְעַתִּ֥יק יוֹמִ֖ין יְתִ֑ב לְבוּשֵׁ֣הּ ׀ כִּתְלַ֣ג חִוָּ֗ר וּשְׂעַ֤ר רֵאשֵׁהּ֙ כַּעֲמַ֣ר נְקֵ֔א כָּרְסְיֵהּ֙ שְׁבִיבִ֣ין דִּי־נ֔וּר גַּלְגִּלּ֖וֹהִי נ֥וּר דָּלִֽק׃
  
  10 נְהַ֣ר דִּי־נ֗וּר נָגֵ֤ד וְנָפֵק֙ מִן־קֳדָמ֔וֹהִי אֶ֤לֶף *אלפים **אַלְפִין֙ יְשַׁמְּשׁוּנֵּ֔הּ וְרִבּ֥וֹ *רבון **רִבְבָ֖ן קָֽדָמ֣וֹהִי יְקוּמ֑וּן דִּינָ֥א יְתִ֖ב וְסִפְרִ֥ין פְּתִֽיחוּ׃
  
  11 חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֔ית בֵּאדַ֗יִן מִן־קָל֙ מִלַּיָּ֣א רַבְרְבָתָ֔א דִּ֥י קַרְנָ֖א מְמַלֱּלָ֑ה חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֡ית עַד֩ דִּ֨י קְטִילַ֤ת חֵֽיוְתָא֙ וְהוּבַ֣ד גִּשְׁמַ֔הּ וִיהִיבַ֖ת לִיקֵדַ֥ת אֶשָּֽׁא׃
  
  12 וּשְׁאָר֙ חֵֽיוָתָ֔א הֶעְדִּ֖יו שָׁלְטָנְה֑וֹן וְאַרְכָ֧ה בְחַיִּ֛ין יְהִ֥יבַת לְה֖וֹן עַד־זְמַ֥ן וְעִדָּֽן׃
  
  13 חָזֵ֤ה הֲוֵית֙ בְּחֶזְוֵ֣י לֵֽילְיָ֔א וַאֲרוּ֙ עִם־עֲנָנֵ֣י שְׁמַיָּ֔א כְּבַ֥ר אֱנָ֖שׁ אָתֵ֣ה הֲוָ֑ה וְעַד־עַתִּ֤יק יֽוֹמַיָּא֙ מְטָ֔ה וּקְדָמ֖וֹהִי הַקְרְבֽוּהִי׃
  
  14 וְלֵ֨הּ יְהִ֤יב שָׁלְטָן֙ וִיקָ֣ר וּמַלְכ֔וּ וְכֹ֣ל עַֽמְמַיָּ֗א אֻמַיָּ֛א וְלִשָּׁנַיָּ֖א לֵ֣הּ יִפְלְח֑וּן שָׁלְטָנֵ֞הּ שָׁלְטָ֤ן עָלַם֙ דִּֽי־לָ֣א יֶעְדֵּ֔ה וּמַלְכוּתֵ֖הּ דִּי־לָ֥א תִתְחַבַּֽל׃
  
  15 אֶתְכְּרִיַּ֥ת רוּחִ֛י אֲנָ֥ה דָנִיֵּ֖אל בְּג֣וֹא נִדְנֶ֑ה וְחֶזְוֵ֥י רֵאשִׁ֖י יְבַהֲלֻנַּֽנִי׃
  
  16 קִרְבֵ֗ת עַל־חַד֙ מִן־קָ֣אֲמַיָּ֔א וְיַצִּיבָ֥א אֶבְעֵֽא־מִנֵּ֖הּ עַֽל־כָּל־דְּנָ֑ה וַאֲמַר־לִ֕י וּפְשַׁ֥ר מִלַּיָּ֖א יְהוֹדְעִנַּֽנִי׃
  
  17 אִלֵּין֙ חֵיוָתָ֣א רַבְרְבָתָ֔א דִּ֥י אִנִּ֖ין אַרְבַּ֑ע אַרְבְּעָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְקוּמ֥וּן מִן־אַרְעָֽא׃
  
  18 וִֽיקַבְּלוּן֙ מַלְכוּתָ֔א קַדִּישֵׁ֖י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין וְיַחְסְנ֤וּן מַלְכוּתָא֙ עַֽד־עָ֣לְמָ֔א וְעַ֖ד עָלַ֥ם עָלְמַיָּֽא׃
  
  19 אֱדַ֗יִן צְבִית֙ לְיַצָּבָ֔א עַל־חֵֽיוְתָא֙ רְבִיעָ֣יְתָ֔א דִּֽי־הֲוָ֥ת שָֽׁנְיָ֖ה מִן־*כלהון **כָּלְּהֵ֑ין דְּחִילָ֣ה יַתִּ֗ירָה *שניה **שִׁנַּ֤הּ דִּֽי־פַרְזֶל֙ וְטִפְרַ֣יהּ דִּֽי־נְחָ֔שׁ אָֽכְלָ֣ה מַדֲּקָ֔ה וּשְׁאָרָ֖א בְּרַגְלַ֥יהּ רָֽפְסָֽה׃
  
  20 וְעַל־קַרְנַיָּ֤א עֲשַׂר֙ דִּ֣י בְרֵאשַׁ֔הּ וְאָחֳרִי֙ דִּ֣י סִלְקַ֔ת *ונפלו **וּנְפַ֥לָה מִן־*קדמיה **קֳדָמַ֖הּ תְּלָ֑ת וְקַרְנָ֨א דִכֵּ֜ן וְעַיְנִ֣ין לַ֗הּ וְפֻם֙ מְמַלִּ֣ל רַבְרְבָ֔ן וְחֶזְוַ֖הּ רַ֥ב מִן־חַבְרָתַֽהּ׃
  
  21 חָזֵ֣ה הֲוֵ֔ית וְקַרְנָ֣א דִכֵּ֔ן עָבְדָ֥ה קְרָ֖ב עִם־קַדִּישִׁ֑ין וְיָכְלָ֖ה לְהֽוֹן׃
  
  22 עַ֣ד דִּֽי־אֲתָ֗ה עַתִּיק֙ יֽוֹמַיָּ֔א וְדִינָ֣א יְהִ֔ב לְקַדִּישֵׁ֖י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין וְזִמְנָ֣א מְטָ֔ה וּמַלְכוּתָ֖א הֶחֱסִ֥נוּ קַדִּישִֽׁין׃
  
  23 כֵּן֮ אֲמַר֒ חֵֽיוְתָא֙ רְבִיעָ֣יְתָ֔א מַלְכ֤וּ *רביעיא **רְבִיעָאָה֙ תֶּהֱוֵ֣א בְאַרְעָ֔א דִּ֥י תִשְׁנֵ֖א מִן־כָּל־מַלְכְוָתָ֑א וְתֵאכֻל֙ כָּל־אַרְעָ֔א וּתְדוּשִׁנַּ֖הּ וְתַדְּקִנַּֽהּ׃
  
  24 וְקַרְנַיָּ֣א עֲשַׂ֔ר מִנַּהּ֙ מַלְכוּתָ֔ה עַשְׂרָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְקֻמ֑וּן וְאָחֳרָ֞ן יְק֣וּם אַחֲרֵיה֗וֹן וְה֤וּא יִשְׁנֵא֙ מִן־קַדְמָיֵ֔א וּתְלָתָ֥ה מַלְכִ֖ין יְהַשְׁפִּֽל׃
  
  25 וּמִלִּ֗ין לְצַ֤ד *עליא **עִלָּאָה֙ יְמַלִּ֔ל וּלְקַדִּישֵׁ֥י עֶלְיוֹנִ֖ין יְבַלֵּ֑א וְיִסְבַּ֗ר לְהַשְׁנָיָה֙ זִמְנִ֣ין וְדָ֔ת וְיִתְיַהֲב֣וּן בִּידֵ֔הּ עַד־עִדָּ֥ן וְעִדָּנִ֖ין וּפְלַ֥ג עִדָּֽן׃
  
  26 וְדִינָ֖א יִתִּ֑ב וְשָׁלְטָנֵ֣הּ יְהַעְדּ֔וֹן לְהַשְׁמָדָ֥ה וּלְהוֹבָדָ֖ה עַד־סוֹפָֽא׃
  
  27 וּמַלְכוּתָ֨ה וְשָׁלְטָנָ֜א וּרְבוּתָ֗א דִּ֚י מַלְכְוָת֙ תְּח֣וֹת כָּל־שְׁמַיָּ֔א יְהִיבַ֕ת לְעַ֖ם קַדִּישֵׁ֣י עֶלְיוֹנִ֑ין מַלְכוּתֵהּ֙ מַלְכ֣וּת עָלַ֔ם וְכֹל֙ שָׁלְטָ֣נַיָּ֔א לֵ֥הּ יִפְלְח֖וּן וְיִֽשְׁתַּמְּעֽוּן׃
  
  28 עַד־כָּ֖ה סוֹפָ֣א דִֽי־מִלְּתָ֑א אֲנָ֨ה דָֽנִיֵּ֜אל שַׂגִּ֣יא ׀ רַעְיוֹנַ֣י יְבַהֲלֻנַּ֗נִי וְזִיוַי֙ יִשְׁתַּנּ֣וֹן עֲלַ֔י וּמִלְּתָ֖א בְּלִבִּ֥י נִטְרֵֽת׃

  1 Τὸ λοιπὸν προσεύχεσθε, ἀδελφοί, περὶ ἡμῶν, ἵνα ὁ λόγος τοῦ κυρίου τρέχῃ καὶ δοξάζηται καθὼς καὶ πρὸς ὑμᾶς,
  
  2 καὶ ἵνα ῥυσθῶμεν ἀπὸ τῶν ἀτόπων καὶ πονηρῶν ἀνθρώπων, οὐ γὰρ πάντων ἡ πίστις.
  
  3 πιστὸς δέ ἐστιν ὁ κύριος, ὃς στηρίξει ὑμᾶς καὶ φυλάξει ἀπὸ τοῦ πονηροῦ.
  
  4 πεποίθαμεν δὲ ἐν κυρίῳ ἐφ’ ὑμᾶς, ὅτι ἃ παραγγέλλομεν καὶ ποιεῖτε καὶ ποιήσετε.
  
  5 ὁ δὲ κύριος κατευθύναι ὑμῶν τὰς καρδίας εἰς τὴν ἀγάπην τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ εἰς τὴν ὑπομονὴν τοῦ Χριστοῦ.
  
  6 Παραγγέλλομεν δὲ ὑμῖν, ἀδελφοί, ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ στέλλεσθαι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ παντὸς ἀδελφοῦ ἀτάκτως περιπατοῦντος καὶ μὴ κατὰ τὴν παράδοσιν ἣν παρελάβοσαν παρ’ ἡμῶν.
  
  7 αὐτοὶ γὰρ οἴδατε πῶς δεῖ μιμεῖσθαι ἡμᾶς, ὅτι οὐκ ἠτακτήσαμεν ἐν ὑμῖν
  
  8 οὐδὲ δωρεὰν ἄρτον ἐφάγομεν παρά τινος, ἀλλ’ ἐν κόπῳ καὶ μόχθῳ νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας ἐργαζόμενοι πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἐπιβαρῆσαί τινα ὑμῶν·
  
  9 οὐχ ὅτι οὐκ ἔχομεν ἐξουσίαν, ἀλλ’ ἵνα ἑαυτοὺς τύπον δῶμεν ὑμῖν εἰς τὸ μιμεῖσθαι ἡμᾶς.
  
  10 καὶ γὰρ ὅτε ἦμεν πρὸς ὑμᾶς, τοῦτο παρηγγέλλομεν ὑμῖν, ὅτι εἴ τις οὐ θέλει ἐργάζεσθαι μηδὲ ἐσθιέτω.
  
  11 ἀκούομεν γάρ τινας περιπατοῦντας ἐν ὑμῖν ἀτάκτως, μηδὲν ἐργαζομένους ἀλλὰ περιεργαζομένους·
  
  12 τοῖς δὲ τοιούτοις παραγγέλλομεν καὶ παρακαλοῦμεν ἐν κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ ἵνα μετὰ ἡσυχίας ἐργαζόμενοι τὸν ἑαυτῶν ἄρτον ἐσθίωσιν.
  
  13 ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, μὴ ἐγκακήσητε καλοποιοῦντες.
  
  14 Εἰ δέ τις οὐχ ὑπακούει τῷ λόγῳ ἡμῶν διὰ τῆς ἐπιστολῆς, τοῦτον σημειοῦσθε, μὴ συναναμίγνυσθαι αὐτῷ, ἵνα ἐντραπῇ·
  
  15 καὶ μὴ ὡς ἐχθρὸν ἡγεῖσθε, ἀλλὰ νουθετεῖτε ὡς ἀδελφόν.
  
  16 Αὐτὸς δὲ ὁ κύριος τῆς εἰρήνης δῴη ὑμῖν τὴν εἰρήνην διὰ παντὸς ἐν παντὶ τρόπῳ. ὁ κύριος μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν.
  
  17 Ὁ ἀσπασμὸς τῇ ἐμῇ χειρὶ Παύλου, ὅ ἐστιν σημεῖον ἐν πάσῃ ἐπιστολῇ· οὕτως γράφω.
  
  18 ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ πάντων ὑμῶν.
