- Exode 14
  
  1 Et l'Éternel parla à Moïse, disant :
  
  2 Dis aux fils d'Israël qu'ils se détournent, et qu'ils campent devant Pi-Hahiroth, entre Migdol et la mer ; devant Baal-Tsephon, vis-à-vis, vous camperez près de la mer. Migdol Baal-tsephon Pi-hahiroth
  
  3 Et le Pharaon dira des fils d'Israël : Ils sont embarrassés dans le pays, le désert les a enfermés. Pi-hahiroth
  
  4 Et j'endurcirai le coeur du Pharaon, et il les poursuivra : et je serai glorifié dans le Pharaon et en toute son armée ; et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis l'Éternel. Et ils firent ainsi. Pi-hahiroth
  
  5 Et il fut rapporté au roi d'Égypte que le peuple s'était enfui ; et le coeur du Pharaon et de ses serviteurs fut changé à l'égard du peuple, et ils dirent : Qu'avons-nous fait de laisser aller Israël, pour qu'il ne nous servît plus ? Egypte (1) Pi-hahiroth
  
  6 Et il attela son char, et prit son peuple avec lui. Pi-hahiroth
  
  7 Et il prit six cents chars d'élite, et tous les chars de l'Égypte, et des capitaines sur tous. Egypte (1) Pi-hahiroth
  
  8 Et l'Éternel endurcit le coeur du Pharaon, roi d'Égypte, et il poursuivit les fils d'Israël. Et les fils d'Israël sortaient à main levée. Egypte (1) Pi-hahiroth
  
  9 Et les Égyptiens les poursuivirent ; et tous les chevaux, les chars du Pharaon, et ses cavaliers et son armée, les atteignirent campés près de la mer, près de Pi-Hahiroth, devant Baal-Tsephon. Baal-tsephon Pi-hahiroth
  
  10 Et le Pharaon s'approcha, et les fils d'Israël levèrent leurs yeux, et voici, les Égyptiens marchaient après eux : et les fils d'Israël eurent une grande peur, et crièrent à l'Éternel ;
  
  11 et ils dirent à Moïse : Est-ce parce qu'il n'y avait pas de sépulcres en Égypte, que tu nous as emmenés pour mourir dans le désert ? Que nous as-tu fait, de nous avoir fait sortir d'Égypte ? Egypte (1)
  
  12 N'est-ce pas ici la parole que nous te disions en Égypte, disant : Laisse-nous, et nous servirons les Égyptiens ? Car il nous vaut mieux servir les Égyptiens que de mourir dans le désert. Egypte (1)
  
  13 Et Moïse dit au peuple : Ne craignez point ; tenez-vous là, et voyez la délivrance de l'Éternel, qu'il opérera pour vous aujourd'hui ; car les Égyptiens que vous voyez aujourd'hui, vous ne les verrez plus, à jamais.
  
  14 L'Éternel combattra pour vous, et vous, vous demeurerez tranquilles.
  
  15 Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : Que cries-tu à moi ? Parle aux fils d'Israël, et qu'ils marchent.
  
  16 Et toi, lève ta verge, et étends ta main sur la mer, et fends-la ; et que les fils d'Israël entrent au milieu de la mer à sec.
  
  17 Et moi, voici, j'endurcirai le coeur des Égyptiens, et ils entreront après eux ; et je me glorifierai dans le Pharaon et en toute son armée, en ses chars et en ses cavaliers ;
  
  18 et les Égyptiens sauront que je suis l'Éternel, quand je serai glorifié dans le Pharaon, en ses chars et en ses cavaliers.
  
  19 Et l'Ange de Dieu, qui allait devant le camp d'Israël, partit, et s'en alla derrière eux ; et la colonne de nuée partit de devant eux et se tint derrière eux ;
  
  20 et elle vint entre le camp des Égyptiens et le camp d'Israël ; et elle fut pour les uns une nuée et des ténèbres, et pour les autres elle éclairait la nuit ; et l'un n'approcha pas de l'autre de toute la nuit. Egypte (1)
  
  21 Et Moïse étendit sa main sur la mer : et l'Éternel fit aller la mer toute la nuit par un fort vent d'orient, et mit la mer à sec, et les eaux se fendirent ;
  
  22 et les fils d'Israël entrèrent au milieu de la mer à sec ; et les eaux étaient pour eux un mur à leur droite et à leur gauche.
  
  23 Et les Égyptiens les poursuivirent, et entrèrent après eux, tous les chevaux du Pharaon, ses chars et ses cavaliers, au milieu de la mer.
  
  24 Et il arriva, sur la veille du matin, que l'Éternel, dans la colonne de feu et de nuée, regarda l'armée des Égyptiens, et mit en désordre l'armée des Égyptiens.
  
  25 Et il ôta les roues de leurs chars, et fit qu'on les menait difficilement. Et les Égyptiens dirent : Fuyons devant Israël, car l'Éternel combat pour eux contre les Égyptiens.
  
  26 Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : Étends ta main sur la mer, et les eaux retourneront sur les Égyptiens, sur leurs chars et sur leurs cavaliers.
  
  27 Et Moïse étendit sa main sur la mer : et, vers le matin, la mer reprit sa force ; et les Égyptiens s'enfuirent à sa rencontre ; et l'Éternel précipita les Égyptiens au milieu de la mer.
  
  28 Et les eaux retournèrent et couvrirent les chars et les cavaliers de toute l'armée du Pharaon qui était entrée après eux dans la mer ; il n'en resta pas même un seul.
  
  29 Et les fils d'Israël marchèrent à sec au milieu de la mer, et les eaux étaient pour eux un mur à leur droite et à leur gauche.
  
  30 Et l'Éternel délivra en ce jour-là Israël de la main des Égyptiens, et Israël vit les Égyptiens morts sur le rivage de la mer.
  
  31 Et Israël vit la grande puissance que l'Éternel avait déployée contre les Égyptiens ; et le peuple craignit l'Éternel, et ils crurent à l'Éternel, et à Moïse son serviteur.
  
  Job 32
  
  1 Et ces trois hommes cessèrent de répondre à Job, parce qu'il était juste à ses propres yeux.
  
  2 Alors s'enflamma la colère d'Élihu, fils de Barakeël, le Buzite, de la famille de Ram : sa colère s'enflamma contre Job, parce qu'il se justifiait lui-même plutôt que Dieu ; Buz
  
  3 et sa colère s'enflamma contre ses trois amis, parce qu'ils ne trouvaient pas de réponse et qu'ils condamnaient Job.
  
  4 Et Élihu avait attendu que Job eût cessé de parler, parce qu'ils étaient plus avancés en jours que lui.
  
  5 Et Élihu vit qu'il n'y avait point de réponse dans la bouche des trois hommes, et sa colère s'enflamma.
  
  6 Et Élihu, fils de Barakeël, le Buzite, répondit et dit : Moi, je suis jeune, et vous êtes des vieillards ; c'est pourquoi je redoutais et je craignais de vous faire connaître ce que je sais.
  
  7 Je disais : Les jours parleront, et le grand nombre des années donnera à connaître la sagesse.
  
  8 Toutefois il y a un esprit qui est dans les hommes, et le souffle du Tout-puissant leur donne de l'intelligence :
  
  9 Ce ne sont pas les grands qui sont sages, ni les anciens qui discernent ce qui est juste.
  
  10 C'est pourquoi je dis : Ecoute-moi ; moi aussi je ferai connaître ce que je sais.
  
  11 Voici, j'ai attendu vos paroles, j'ai écouté vos raisonnements, jusqu'à ce que vous eussiez examiné le sujet ;
  
  12 Je vous ai donné toute mon attention : et voici, il n'y a eu personne d'entre vous qui convainquît Job, qui répondît à ses paroles, -
  
  13 Afin que vous ne disiez pas : Nous avons trouvé la sagesse. Dieu le fera céder, et non pas l'homme.
  
  14 Or il ne m'a pas adressé de discours, et je ne lui répondrai pas avec vos paroles.
  
  15 Ils ont été confondus, ils ne répondent plus ; les paroles leur sont ôtées.
  
  16 J'ai attendu, car ils ne parlaient plus, car ils se tenaient là, ils ne répondaient plus ;
  
  17 Je répondrai, moi aussi, à mon tour ; je ferai connaître, moi aussi, ce que je sais ;
  
  18 Car je suis plein de paroles, l'esprit qui est au dedans de moi me presse.
  
  19 Voici, mon ventre est comme un vin qui n'a pas été ouvert ; il éclate comme des outres neuves.
  
  20 Je parlerai et je respirerai ; j'ouvrirai mes lèvres et je répondrai ;
  
  21 Je ne ferai pas acception de personnes, et je ne flatterai aucun homme ;
  
  22 Car je ne sais pas flatter : celui qui m'a fait m'emporterait bientôt.
  
  Luc 17
  
  1 Or il dit à ses disciples : Il est impossible qu'il n'arrive pas des scandales ; mais malheur à celui par qui ils arrivent ! Sunem
  
  2 Mieux lui vaudrait qu'on lui mît au cou une meule d'âne, et qu'il fût jeté dans la mer, que de scandaliser un de ces petits. Sunem
  
  3 Prenez garde à vous-mêmes. Si ton frère pèche, reprends-le, et s'il se repent, pardonne-lui ; Sunem
  
  4 et si sept fois le jour il pèche contre toi, et que sept fois il retourne à toi, disant : Je me repens, tu lui pardonneras. Sunem
  
  5 Et les apôtres dirent au Seigneur : Augmente-nous la foi. Sunem
  
  6 Et le Seigneur dit : Si vous avez de la foi comme un grain de moutarde, vous diriez à ce mûrier : Déracine-toi, et plante-toi dans la mer ; et il vous obéirait. Sunem
  
  7 Mais qui est celui d'entre vous, qui, ayant un esclave labourant ou paissant le bétail, quand il revient des champs, dise : Avance-toi de suite et mets-toi à table ? Sunem
  
  8 Ne lui dira-t-il pas au contraire : Apprête-moi à souper et ceins-toi, et me sers jusqu'à ce que j'aie mangé et bu ; et après cela, tu mangeras et tu boiras, toi ? Sunem
  
  9 Est-il obligé à l'esclave de ce qu'il a fait ce qui avait été commandé ? Sunem
  
  10 Je ne le pense pas. Ainsi, vous aussi, quand vous aurez fait toutes les choses qui vous ont été commandées, dites : Nous sommes des esclaves inutiles ; ce que nous étions obligés de faire, nous l'avons fait. Sunem
  
  11 Et il arriva qu'en allant à Jérusalem, il traversait la Samarie et la Galilée. Samarie Galilée Jérusalem Sunem
  
  12 Et comme il entrait dans un village, dix hommes lépreux le rencontrèrent ; et ils s'arrêtèrent de loin ; Sunem
  
  13 et ils élevèrent la voix, disant : Jésus, maître, aie pitié de nous ! Sunem
  
  14 Et les voyant, il leur dit : Allez, montrez-vous aux sacrificateurs. Et il arriva qu'en s'en allant ils furent rendus nets. Sunem
  
  15 Or l'un d'entre eux, voyant qu'il était guéri, revint sur ses pas, glorifiant Dieu à haute voix ; Sunem
  
  16 et ils se jeta sur sa face aux pieds de Jésus, lui rendant grâces. Et c'était un Samaritain. Sunem
  
  17 Et Jésus, répondant, dit : Les dix n'ont-ils pas été rendus nets ? Et les neuf, où sont-ils ? Sunem
  
  18 Il ne s'en est point trouvé qui soient revenus pour donner gloire à Dieu, si ce n'est cet étranger. Sunem
  
  19 Et il lui dit : Lève-toi, et t'en va ; ta foi t'a guéri. Sunem
  
  20 Or étant interrogé par les pharisiens quand viendrait le royaume de Dieu, il leur répondit et dit : Le royaume de Dieu ne vient pas de manière à attirer l'attention ; Sunem
  
  21 et on ne dira pas : Voici, il est ici ; ou, voilà, il est là. Car voici, le royaume de Dieu est au milieu de vous. Sunem
  
  22 Et il dit aux disciples : Les jours viendront où vous désirerez de voir l'un des jours du fils de l'homme, et vous ne le verrez pas. Sunem
  
  23 Et on vous dira : Voici, il est ici ; ou, voilà, il est là. N'y allez pas, et ne les suivez pas. Sunem
  
  24 Car comme l'éclair qui brille, luit de l'un des côtés de dessous le ciel jusqu'à l'autre côté de dessous le ciel, ainsi sera le fils de l'homme en son jour. Sunem
  
  25 Mais auparavant il faut qu'il souffre beaucoup, et qu'il soit rejeté par cette génération. Sunem
  
  26 Et comme il arriva aux jours de Noé, ainsi en sera-t-il aux jours du fils de l'homme aussi : Sunem
  
  27 on mangeait, on buvait, on se mariait, on donnait en mariage, jusqu'au jour où Noé entra dans l'arche ; et le déluge vint, et les fit tous périr. Sunem
  
  28 De même aussi, comme il arriva aux jours de Lot : on mangeait, on buvait, on achetait, on vendait, on plantait, on bâtissait ; Sunem
  
  29 mais, au jour où Lot sortit de Sodome, il plut du feu et du soufre du ciel, qui les fit tous périr ; Sodome Sunem
  
  30 il en sera de même au jour où le fils de l'homme sera manifesté. Sunem
  
  31 En ce jour-là, que celui qui sera sur le toit et qui aura ses effets dans la maison, ne descende pas pour les emporter ; et pareillement que celui qui sera aux champs ne retourne pas en arrière. Sunem
  
  32 Souvenez-vous de la femme de Lot. Sunem
  
  33 Quiconque cherchera à sauver sa vie, la perdra ; et quiconque la perdra la gagnera. Sunem
  
  34 Je vous dis qu'en cette nuit-là deux seront sur un même lit, l'un sera pris et l'autre laissé ; Sunem
  
  35 deux femmes moudront ensemble, l'une sera prise et l'autre laissée ; Sunem
  
  36 deux seront aux champs, l'un sera pris et l'autre laissé. Sunem
  
  37 Et répondant, ils lui disent : Où, Seigneur ? Et il leur dit : Là où est le corps, là aussi s'assembleront les aigles. Sunem

  1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
  
  2 "Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal Zephon. You shall encamp opposite it by the sea.
  
  3 Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, 'They are entangled in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.'
  
  4 I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will follow after them; and I will get honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies; and the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh." They did so.
  
  5 It was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, "What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"
  
  6 He prepared his chariot, and took his army with him;
  
  7 and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them.
  
  8 Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand.
  
  9 The Egyptians pursued after them: all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen, and his army; and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baal Zephon.
  
  10 When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were very afraid. The children of Israel cried out to Yahweh.
  
  11 They said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?
  
  12 Isn't this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, 'Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?' For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness."
  
  13 Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall never see them again.
  
  14 Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still."
  
  15 Yahweh said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward.
  
  16 Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground.
  
  17 I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get myself honor over Pharaoh, and over all his armies, over his chariots, and over his horsemen.
  
  18 The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I have gotten myself honor over Pharaoh, over his chariots, and over his horsemen."
  
  19 The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them, and stood behind them.
  
  20 It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one didn't come near the other all the night.
  
  21 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and Yahweh caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
  
  22 The children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
  
  23 The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea: all of Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
  
  24 It happened in the morning watch, that Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.
  
  25 He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said, "Let's flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!"
  
  26 Yahweh said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen."
  
  27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it. Yahweh overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
  
  28 The waters returned, and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all Pharaoh's army that went in after them into the sea. There remained not so much as one of them.
  
  29 But the children of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.
  
  30 Thus Yahweh saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.
  
  31 Israel saw the great work which Yahweh did to the Egyptians, and the people feared Yahweh; and they believed in Yahweh, and in his servant Moses.
  
  Job 32
  
  1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
  
  2 Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.
  
  3 Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
  
  4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were elder than he.
  
  5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
  
  6 Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, "I am young, and you are very old; Therefore I held back, and didn't dare show you my opinion.
  
  7 I said, 'Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.'
  
  8 But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
  
  9 It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.
  
  10 Therefore I said, 'Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.'
  
  11 "Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.
  
  12 Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.
  
  13 Beware lest you say, 'We have found wisdom, God may refute him, not man;'
  
  14 for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
  
  15 "They are amazed. They answer no more. They don't have a word to say.
  
  16 Shall I wait, because they don't speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?
  
  17 I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.
  
  18 For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.
  
  19 Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.
  
  20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.
  
  21 Please don't let me respect any man's person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.
  
  22 For I don't know how to give flattering titles; or else my Maker would soon take me away.
  
  Luc 17
  
  1 He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
  
  2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
  
  3 Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.
  
  4 If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
  
  5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."
  
  6 The Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.
  
  7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down at the table,'
  
  8 and will not rather tell him, 'Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink'?
  
  9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
  
  10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.'"
  
  11 It happened as he was on his way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
  
  12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.
  
  13 They lifted up their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
  
  14 When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." It happened that as they went, they were cleansed.
  
  15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
  
  16 He fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
  
  17 Jesus answered, "Weren't the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
  
  18 Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?"
  
  19 Then he said to him, "Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you."
  
  20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered them, "The Kingdom of God doesn't come with observation;
  
  21 neither will they say, 'Look, here!' or, 'Look, there!' for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you."
  
  22 He said to the disciples, "The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
  
  23 They will tell you, 'Look, here!' or 'Look, there!' Don't go away, nor follow after them,
  
  24 for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.
  
  25 But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
  
  26 As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
  
  27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
  
  28 Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
  
  29 but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.
  
  30 It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
  
  31 In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.
  
  32 Remember Lot's wife!
  
  33 Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.
  
  34 I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.
  
  35 There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left."
  
  36
  
  37 They, answering, asked him, "Where, Lord?" He said to them, "Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together."
