  1 God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
  
  2 The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that the ground teems with, and all the fish of the sea are delivered into your hand.
  
  3 Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As the green herb, I have given everything to you.
  
  4 But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat.
  
  5 I will surely require your blood of your lives. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, I will require the life of man.
  
  6 Whoever sheds man's blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.
  
  7 Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it."
  
  8 God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
  
  9 "As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you,
  
  10 and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth.
  
  11 I will establish my covenant with you: all flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth."
  
  12 God said, "This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
  
  13 I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.
  
  14 It will happen, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud,
  
  15 and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
  
  16 The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."
  
  17 God said to Noah, "This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth."
  
  18 The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.
  
  19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these, the whole earth was populated.
  
  20 Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard.
  
  21 He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.
  
  22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
  
  23 Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they didn't see their father's nakedness.
  
  24 Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.
  
  25 He said, "Canaan is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers."
  
  26 He said, "Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.
  
  27 May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant."
  
  28 Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.
  
  29 All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, then he died.
  
  Genèse 10
  
  1 Now this is the history of the generations of the sons of Noah and of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.
  
  2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
  
  3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
  
  4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
  
  5 Of these were the islands of the nations divided in their lands, everyone after his language, after their families, in their nations.
  
  6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
  
  7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
  
  8 Cush became the father of Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth.
  
  9 He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh. Therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before Yahweh."
  
  10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
  
  11 Out of that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah,
  
  12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city).
  
  13 Mizraim became the father of Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
  
  14 Pathrusim, Casluhim (which the Philistines descended from), and Caphtorim.
  
  15 Canaan became the father of Sidon (his firstborn), Heth,
  
  16 the Jebusite, the Amorite, the Girgashite,
  
  17 the Hivite, the Arkite, the Sinite,
  
  18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were spread abroad.
  
  19 The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, to Lasha.
  
  20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, in their nations.
  
  21 To Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were children born.
  
  22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
  
  23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
  
  24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah. Shelah became the father of Eber.
  
  25 To Eber were born two sons. The name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided. His brother's name was Joktan.
  
  26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
  
  27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
  
  28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
  
  29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
  
  30 Their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east.
  
  31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations.
  
  32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations. Of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
  
  Esdras 9
  
  1 Now when these things were done, the princes drew near to me, saying, "The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, following their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
  
  2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed have mixed themselves with the peoples of the lands. Yes, the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this trespass."
  
  3 When I heard this thing, I tore my garment and my robe, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down confounded.
  
  4 Then were assembled to me everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of their trespass of the captivity; and I sat confounded until the evening offering.
  
  5 At the evening offering I arose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn; and I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to Yahweh my God;
  
  6 and I said, "My God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God; for our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guiltiness has grown up to the heavens.
  
  7 Since the days of our fathers we have been exceeding guilty to this day; and for our iniquities we, our kings, and our priests, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plunder, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
  
  8 Now for a little moment grace has been shown from Yahweh our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
  
  9 For we are bondservants; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended loving kindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
  
  10 "Now, our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken your commandments,
  
  11 which you have commanded by your servants the prophets, saying, 'The land, to which you go to possess it, is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness.
  
  12 Now therefore don't give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever; that you may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.'
  
  13 "After all that has come on us for our evil deeds, and for our great guilt, since you, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such a remnant,
  
  14 shall we again break your commandments, and join in affinity with the peoples that do these abominations? Wouldn't you be angry with us until you had consumed us, so that there should be no remnant, nor any to escape?
  
  15 Yahweh, the God of Israel, you are righteous; for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is this day. Behold, we are before you in our guiltiness; for none can stand before you because of this."
  
  Matthieu 9
  
  1 He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.
  
  2 Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you."
  
  3 Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man blasphemes."
  
  4 Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?
  
  5 For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven;' or to say, 'Get up, and walk?'
  
  6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins..." (then he said to the paralytic), "Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house."
  
  7 He arose and departed to his house.
  
  8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
  
  9 As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, "Follow me." He got up and followed him.
  
  10 It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.
  
  11 When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"
  
  12 When Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.
  
  13 But you go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. "
  
  14 Then John's disciples came to him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don't fast?"
  
  15 Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.
  
  16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.
  
  17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."
  
  18 While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, "My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live."
  
  19 Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.
  
  20 Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment;
  
  21 for she said within herself, "If I just touch his garment, I will be made well."
  
  22 But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, "Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
  
  23 When Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,
  
  24 he said to them, "Make room, because the girl isn't dead, but sleeping." They were ridiculing him.
  
  25 But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
  
  26 The report of this went out into all that land.
  
  27 As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, "Have mercy on us, son of David!"
  
  28 When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They told him, "Yes, Lord."
  
  29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you."
  
  30 Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, "See that no one knows about this."
  
  31 But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.
  
  32 As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.
  
  33 When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!"
  
  34 But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons."
  
  35 Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.
  
  36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.
  
  37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
  
  38 Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."

  2 וּמוֹרַאֲכֶ֤ם וְחִתְּכֶם֙ יִֽהְיֶ֔ה עַ֚ל כָּל־חַיַּ֣ת הָאָ֔רֶץ וְעַ֖ל כָּל־ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם בְּכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּרְמֹ֧שׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֛ה וּֽבְכָל־דְּגֵ֥י הַיָּ֖ם בְּיֶדְכֶ֥ם נִתָּֽנוּ׃
  
  3 כָּל־רֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הוּא־חַ֔י לָכֶ֥ם יִהְיֶ֖ה לְאָכְלָ֑ה כְּיֶ֣רֶק עֵ֔שֶׂב נָתַ֥תִּי לָכֶ֖ם אֶת־כֹּֽל׃
  
  4 אַךְ־בָּשָׂ֕ר בְּנַפְשׁ֥וֹ דָמ֖וֹ לֹ֥א תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃
  
  5 וְאַ֨ךְ אֶת־דִּמְכֶ֤ם לְנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙ אֶדְרֹ֔שׁ מִיַּ֥ד כָּל־חַיָּ֖ה אֶדְרְשֶׁ֑נּוּ וּמִיַּ֣ד הָֽאָדָ֗ם מִיַּד֙ אִ֣ישׁ אָחִ֔יו אֶדְרֹ֖שׁ אֶת־נֶ֥פֶשׁ הָֽאָדָֽם׃
  
  6 שֹׁפֵךְ֙ דַּ֣ם הָֽאָדָ֔ם בָּֽאָדָ֖ם דָּמ֣וֹ יִשָּׁפֵ֑ךְ כִּ֚י בְּצֶ֣לֶם אֱלֹהִ֔ים עָשָׂ֖ה אֶת־הָאָדָֽם׃
  
  7 וְאַתֶּ֖ם פְּר֣וּ וּרְב֑וּ שִׁרְצ֥וּ בָאָ֖רֶץ וּרְבוּ־בָֽהּ׃
  
  8 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ אֶל־נֹ֔חַ וְאֶל־בָּנָ֥יו אִתּ֖וֹ לֵאמֹֽר׃
  
  9 וַאֲנִ֕י הִנְנִ֥י מֵקִ֛ים אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י אִתְּכֶ֑ם וְאֶֽת־זַרְעֲכֶ֖ם אַֽחֲרֵיכֶֽם׃

  11 וַהֲקִמֹתִ֤י אֶת־בְּרִיתִי֙ אִתְּכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־יִכָּרֵ֧ת כָּל־בָּשָׂ֛ר ע֖וֹד מִמֵּ֣י הַמַּבּ֑וּל וְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֥ה ע֛וֹד מַבּ֖וּל לְשַׁחֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  12 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֗ים זֹ֤את אֽוֹת־הַבְּרִית֙ אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֣י נֹתֵ֗ן בֵּינִי֙ וּבֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם וּבֵ֛ין כָּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתְּכֶ֑ם לְדֹרֹ֖ת עוֹלָֽם׃
  
  13 אֶת־קַשְׁתִּ֕י נָתַ֖תִּי בֶּֽעָנָ֑ן וְהָֽיְתָה֙ לְא֣וֹת בְּרִ֔ית בֵּינִ֖י וּבֵ֥ין הָאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  14 וְהָיָ֕ה בְּעַֽנְנִ֥י עָנָ֖ן עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וְנִרְאֲתָ֥ה הַקֶּ֖שֶׁת בֶּעָנָֽן׃
  
  15 וְזָכַרְתִּ֣י אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֗י אֲשֶׁ֤ר בֵּינִי֙ וּבֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם וּבֵ֛ין כָּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּ֖ה בְּכָל־בָּשָׂ֑ר וְלֹֽא־יִֽהְיֶ֨ה ע֤וֹד הַמַּ֙יִם֙ לְמַבּ֔וּל לְשַׁחֵ֖ת כָּל־בָּשָֽׂר׃
  
  16 וְהָיְתָ֥ה הַקֶּ֖שֶׁת בֶּֽעָנָ֑ן וּרְאִיתִ֗יהָ לִזְכֹּר֙ בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָ֔ם בֵּ֣ין אֱלֹהִ֔ים וּבֵין֙ כָּל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ חַיָּ֔ה בְּכָל־בָּשָׂ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  17 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֖ים אֶל־נֹ֑חַ זֹ֤את אֽוֹת־הַבְּרִית֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֲקִמֹ֔תִי בֵּינִ֕י וּבֵ֥ין כָּל־בָּשָׂ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  18 וַיִּֽהְי֣וּ בְנֵי־נֹ֗חַ הַיֹּֽצְאִים֙ מִן־הַתֵּבָ֔ה שֵׁ֖ם וְחָ֣ם וָיָ֑פֶת וְחָ֕ם ה֖וּא אֲבִ֥י כְנָֽעַן׃
  
  19 שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵי־נֹ֑חַ וּמֵאֵ֖לֶּה נָֽפְצָ֥ה כָל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  20 וַיָּ֥חֶל נֹ֖חַ אִ֣ישׁ הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה וַיִּטַּ֖ע כָּֽרֶם׃
  
  21 וַיֵּ֥שְׁתְּ מִן־הַיַּ֖יִן וַיִּשְׁכָּ֑ר וַיִּתְגַּ֖ל בְּת֥וֹךְ אָהֳלֹֽה׃
  
  22 וַיַּ֗רְא חָ֚ם אֲבִ֣י כְנַ֔עַן אֵ֖ת עֶרְוַ֣ת אָבִ֑יו וַיַּגֵּ֥ד לִשְׁנֵֽי־אֶחָ֖יו בַּחֽוּץ׃
  
  23 וַיִּקַּח֩ שֵׁ֨ם וָיֶ֜פֶת אֶת־הַשִּׂמְלָ֗ה וַיָּשִׂ֙ימוּ֙ עַל־שְׁכֶ֣ם שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ אֲחֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית וַיְכַסּ֕וּ אֵ֖ת עֶרְוַ֣ת אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וּפְנֵיהֶם֙ אֲחֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית וְעֶרְוַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ם לֹ֥א רָאֽוּ׃
  
  24 וַיִּ֥יקֶץ נֹ֖חַ מִיֵּינ֑וֹ וַיֵּ֕דַע אֵ֛ת אֲשֶׁר־עָ֥שָׂה־ל֖וֹ בְּנ֥וֹ הַקָּטָֽן׃
  
  25 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אָר֣וּר כְּנָ֑עַן עֶ֥בֶד עֲבָדִ֖ים יִֽהְיֶ֥ה לְאֶחָֽיו׃
  
  26 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר בָּר֥וּךְ יְהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹ֣הֵי שֵׁ֑ם וִיהִ֥י כְנַ֖עַן עֶ֥בֶד לָֽמוֹ׃
  
  27 יַ֤פְתְּ אֱלֹהִים֙ לְיֶ֔פֶת וְיִשְׁכֹּ֖ן בְּאָֽהֳלֵי־שֵׁ֑ם וִיהִ֥י כְנַ֖עַן עֶ֥בֶד לָֽמוֹ׃
  
  28 וַֽיְחִי־נֹ֖חַ אַחַ֣ר הַמַּבּ֑וּל שְׁלֹ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וַֽחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים שָׁנָֽה׃
  
  29 וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ כָּל־יְמֵי־נֹ֔חַ תְּשַׁ֤ע מֵאוֹת֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וַחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים שָׁנָ֑ה וַיָּמֹֽת׃

  1 וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת בְּנֵי־נֹ֔חַ שֵׁ֖ם חָ֣ם וָיָ֑פֶת וַיִּוָּלְד֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם בָּנִ֖ים אַחַ֥ר הַמַּבּֽוּל׃
  
  2 בְּנֵ֣י יֶ֔פֶת גֹּ֣מֶר וּמָג֔וֹג וּמָדַ֖י וְיָוָ֣ן וְתֻבָ֑ל וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ וְתִירָֽס׃
  
  3 וּבְנֵ֖י גֹּ֑מֶר אַשְׁכֲּנַ֥ז וְרִיפַ֖ת וְתֹגַרְמָֽה׃
  
  4 וּבְנֵ֥י יָוָ֖ן אֱלִישָׁ֣ה וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישׁ כִּתִּ֖ים וְדֹדָנִֽים׃
  
  5 מֵ֠אֵלֶּה נִפְרְד֞וּ אִיֵּ֤י הַגּוֹיִם֙ בְּאַרְצֹתָ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ לִלְשֹׁנ֑וֹ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃
  
  6 וּבְנֵ֖י חָ֑ם כּ֥וּשׁ וּמִצְרַ֖יִם וּפ֥וּט וּכְנָֽעַן׃
  
  7 וּבְנֵ֣י כ֔וּשׁ סְבָא֙ וַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה וְסַבְתָּ֥ה וְרַעְמָ֖ה וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א וּבְנֵ֥י רַעְמָ֖ה שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃
  
  8 וְכ֖וּשׁ יָלַ֣ד אֶת־נִמְרֹ֑ד ה֣וּא הֵחֵ֔ל לִֽהְי֥וֹת גִּבֹּ֖ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
  
  9 הֽוּא־הָיָ֥ה גִבֹּֽר־צַ֖יִד לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה עַל־כֵּן֙ יֵֽאָמַ֔ר כְּנִמְרֹ֛ד גִּבּ֥וֹר צַ֖יִד לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
  
  10 וַתְּהִ֨י רֵאשִׁ֤ית מַמְלַכְתּוֹ֙ בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֶ֖רֶךְ וְאַכַּ֣ד וְכַלְנֵ֑ה בְּאֶ֖רֶץ שִׁנְעָֽר׃
  
  11 מִן־הָאָ֥רֶץ הַהִ֖וא יָצָ֣א אַשּׁ֑וּר וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ אֶת־נִ֣ינְוֵ֔ה וְאֶת־רְחֹבֹ֥ת עִ֖יר וְאֶת־כָּֽלַח׃
  
  12 וְֽאֶת־רֶ֔סֶן בֵּ֥ין נִֽינְוֵ֖ה וּבֵ֣ין כָּ֑לַח הִ֖וא הָעִ֥יר הַגְּדֹלָֽה׃
  
  13 וּמִצְרַ֡יִם יָלַ֞ד אֶת־לוּדִ֧ים וְאֶת־עֲנָמִ֛ים וְאֶת־לְהָבִ֖ים וְאֶת־נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃
  
  14 וְֽאֶת־פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים וְאֶת־כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצְא֥וּ מִשָּׁ֛ם פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וְאֶת־כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃
  
  15 וּכְנַ֗עַן יָלַ֛ד אֶת־צִידֹ֥ן בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־חֵֽת׃
  
  16 וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי֙ וְאֶת־הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י וְאֵ֖ת הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃
  
  17 וְאֶת־הַֽחִוִּ֥י וְאֶת־הַֽעַרְקִ֖י וְאֶת־הַסִּינִֽי׃
  
  18 וְאֶת־הָֽאַרְוָדִ֥י וְאֶת־הַצְּמָרִ֖י וְאֶת־הַֽחֲמָתִ֑י וְאַחַ֣ר נָפֹ֔צוּ מִשְׁפְּח֖וֹת הַֽכְּנַעֲנִֽי׃
  
  19 וַֽיְהִ֞י גְּב֤וּל הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ מִצִּידֹ֔ן בֹּאֲכָ֥ה גְרָ֖רָה עַד־עַזָּ֑ה בֹּאֲכָ֞ה סְדֹ֧מָה וַעֲמֹרָ֛ה וְאַדְמָ֥ה וּצְבֹיִ֖ם עַד־לָֽשַׁע׃
  
  20 אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵי־חָ֔ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לִלְשֹֽׁנֹתָ֑ם בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃
  
  21 וּלְשֵׁ֥ם יֻלַּ֖ד גַּם־ה֑וּא אֲבִי֙ כָּל־בְּנֵי־עֵ֔בֶר אֲחִ֖י יֶ֥פֶת הַגָּדֽוֹל׃
  
  22 בְּנֵ֥י שֵׁ֖ם עֵילָ֣ם וְאַשּׁ֑וּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד וְל֥וּד וַֽאֲרָֽם׃
  
  23 וּבְנֵ֖י אֲרָ֑ם ע֥וּץ וְח֖וּל וְגֶ֥תֶר וָמַֽשׁ׃
  
  24 וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד יָלַ֣ד אֶת־שָׁ֑לַח וְשֶׁ֖לַח יָלַ֥ד אֶת־עֵֽבֶר׃
  
  25 וּלְעֵ֥בֶר יֻלַּ֖ד שְׁנֵ֣י בָנִ֑ים שֵׁ֣ם הָֽאֶחָ֞ד פֶּ֗לֶג כִּ֤י בְיָמָיו֙ נִפְלְגָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ וְשֵׁ֥ם אָחִ֖יו יָקְטָֽן׃
  
  26 וְיָקְטָ֣ן יָלַ֔ד אֶת־אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד וְאֶת־שָׁ֑לֶף וְאֶת־חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת וְאֶת־יָֽרַח׃
  
  27 וְאֶת־הֲדוֹרָ֥ם וְאֶת־אוּזָ֖ל וְאֶת־דִּקְלָֽה׃
  
  28 וְאֶת־עוֹבָ֥ל וְאֶת־אֲבִֽימָאֵ֖ל וְאֶת־שְׁבָֽא׃
  
  29 וְאֶת־אוֹפִ֥ר וְאֶת־חֲוִילָ֖ה וְאֶת־יוֹבָ֑ב כָּל־אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יָקְטָֽן׃
  
  30 וַֽיְהִ֥י מוֹשָׁבָ֖ם מִמֵּשָׁ֑א בֹּאֲכָ֥ה סְפָ֖רָה הַ֥ר הַקֶּֽדֶם׃
  
  31 אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵי־שֵׁ֔ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָ֑ם בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם לְגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃
  
  32 אֵ֣לֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹ֧ת בְּנֵי־נֹ֛חַ לְתוֹלְדֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶ֑ם וּמֵאֵ֜לֶּה נִפְרְד֧וּ הַגּוֹיִ֛ם בָּאָ֖רֶץ אַחַ֥ר הַמַּבּֽוּל׃

  1 וּכְכַלּ֣וֹת אֵ֗לֶּה נִגְּשׁ֨וּ אֵלַ֤י הַשָּׂרִים֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹֽא־נִבְדְּל֞וּ הָעָ֤ם יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם מֵעַמֵּ֖י הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת כְּ֠תוֹעֲבֹֽתֵיהֶם לַכְּנַעֲנִ֨י הַחִתִּ֜י הַפְּרִזִּ֣י הַיְבוּסִ֗י הָֽעַמֹּנִי֙ הַמֹּ֣אָבִ֔י הַמִּצְרִ֖י וְהָאֱמֹרִֽי׃
  
  2 כִּֽי־נָשְׂא֣וּ מִבְּנֹֽתֵיהֶ֗ם לָהֶם֙ וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֔ם וְהִתְעָֽרְבוּ֙ זֶ֣רַע הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ בְּעַמֵּ֖י הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת וְיַ֧ד הַשָּׂרִ֣ים וְהַסְּגָנִ֗ים הָֽיְתָ֛ה בַּמַּ֥עַל הַזֶּ֖ה רִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃
  
  3 וּכְשָׁמְעִי֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה קָרַ֥עְתִּי אֶת־בִּגְדִ֖י וּמְעִילִ֑י וָאֶמְרְטָ֞ה מִשְּׂעַ֤ר רֹאשִׁי֙ וּזְקָנִ֔י וָאֵשְׁבָ֖ה מְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃
  
  4 וְאֵלַ֣י יֵאָסְפ֗וּ כֹּ֤ל חָרֵד֙ בְּדִבְרֵ֣י אֱלֹהֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַ֖ל מַ֣עַל הַגּוֹלָ֑ה וַאֲנִי֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב מְשׁוֹמֵ֔ם עַ֖ד לְמִנְחַ֥ת הָעָֽרֶב׃
  
  5 וּבְמִנְחַ֣ת הָעֶ֗רֶב קַ֚מְתִּי מִתַּֽעֲנִיתִ֔י וּבְקָרְעִ֥י בִגְדִ֖י וּמְעִילִ֑י וָֽאֶכְרְעָה֙ עַל־בִּרְכַּ֔י וָאֶפְרְשָׂ֥ה כַפַּ֖י אֶל־יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃
  
  6 וָאֹמְרָ֗ה אֱלֹהַי֙ בֹּ֣שְׁתִּי וְנִכְלַ֔מְתִּי לְהָרִ֧ים אֱלֹהַ֛י פָּנַ֖י אֵלֶ֑יךָ כִּ֣י עֲוֺנֹתֵ֤ינוּ רָבוּ֙ לְמַ֣עְלָה רֹּ֔אשׁ וְאַשְׁמָתֵ֥נוּ גָדְלָ֖ה עַ֥ד לַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃
  
  7 מִימֵ֣י אֲבֹתֵ֗ינוּ אֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ בְּאַשְׁמָ֣ה גְדֹלָ֔ה עַ֖ד הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וּבַעֲוֺנֹתֵ֡ינוּ נִתַּ֡נּוּ אֲנַחְנוּ֩ מְלָכֵ֨ינוּ כֹהֲנֵ֜ינוּ בְּיַ֣ד ׀ מַלְכֵ֣י הָאֲרָצ֗וֹת בַּחֶ֜רֶב בַּשְּׁבִ֧י וּבַבִּזָּ֛ה וּבְבֹ֥שֶׁת פָּנִ֖ים כְּהַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
  
  8 וְעַתָּ֡ה כִּמְעַט־רֶגַע֩ הָיְתָ֨ה תְחִנָּ֜ה מֵאֵ֣ת ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ לְהַשְׁאִ֥יר לָ֙נוּ֙ פְּלֵיטָ֔ה וְלָתֶת־לָ֥נוּ יָתֵ֖ד בִּמְק֣וֹם קָדְשׁ֑וֹ לְהָאִ֤יר עֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ וּלְתִתֵּ֛נוּ מִֽחְיָ֥ה מְעַ֖ט בְּעַבְדֻתֵֽנוּ׃
  
  9 כִּֽי־עֲבָדִ֣ים אֲנַ֔חְנוּ וּבְעַבְדֻ֔תֵנוּ לֹ֥א עֲזָבָ֖נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וַֽיַּט־עָלֵ֣ינוּ חֶ֡סֶד לִפְנֵי֩ מַלְכֵ֨י פָרַ֜ס לָֽתֶת־לָ֣נוּ מִֽחְיָ֗ה לְרוֹמֵ֞ם אֶת־בֵּ֤ית אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ וּלְהַעֲמִ֣יד אֶת־חָרְבֹתָ֔יו וְלָֽתֶת־לָ֣נוּ גָדֵ֔ר בִּֽיהוּדָ֖ה וּבִירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
  
  10 וְעַתָּ֛ה מַה־נֹּאמַ֥ר אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ אַֽחֲרֵי־זֹ֑את כִּ֥י עָזַ֖בְנוּ מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃
  
  11 אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֗יתָ בְּיַ֨ד עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ הַנְּבִיאִים֮ לֵאמֹר֒ הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֤ם בָּאִים֙ לְרִשְׁתָּ֔הּ אֶ֤רֶץ נִדָּה֙ הִ֔יא בְּנִדַּ֖ת עַמֵּ֣י הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת בְּתוֹעֲבֹֽתֵיהֶ֗ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִלְא֛וּהָ מִפֶּ֥ה אֶל־פֶּ֖ה בְּטֻמְאָתָֽם׃
  
  12 וְ֠עַתָּה בְּֽנוֹתֵיכֶ֞ם אַל־תִּתְּנ֣וּ לִבְנֵיהֶ֗ם וּבְנֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ אַל־תִּשְׂא֣וּ לִבְנֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹֽא־תִדְרְשׁ֧וּ שְׁלֹמָ֛ם וְטוֹבָתָ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם לְמַ֣עַן תֶּחֶזְק֗וּ וַאֲכַלְתֶּם֙ אֶת־ט֣וּב הָאָ֔רֶץ וְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּ֥ם לִבְנֵיכֶ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃
  
  13 וְאַֽחֲרֵי֙ כָּל־הַבָּ֣א עָלֵ֔ינוּ בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֙ינוּ֙ הָרָעִ֔ים וּבְאַשְׁמָתֵ֖נוּ הַגְּדֹלָ֑ה כִּ֣י ׀ אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ חָשַׂ֤כְתָּֽ לְמַ֙טָּה֙ מֵֽעֲוֺנֵ֔נוּ וְנָתַ֥תָּה לָּ֛נוּ פְּלֵיטָ֖ה כָּזֹֽאת׃
  
  14 הֲנָשׁוּב֙ לְהָפֵ֣ר מִצְוֺתֶ֔יךָ וּ֨לְהִתְחַתֵּ֔ן בְּעַמֵּ֥י הַתֹּעֵב֖וֹת הָאֵ֑לֶּה הֲל֤וֹא תֶֽאֱנַף־בָּ֙נוּ֙ עַד־כַּלֵּ֔ה לְאֵ֥ין שְׁאֵרִ֖ית וּפְלֵיטָֽה׃
  
  15 יְהוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ צַדִּ֣יק אַ֔תָּה כִּֽי־נִשְׁאַ֥רְנוּ פְלֵיטָ֖ה כְּהַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה הִנְנ֤וּ לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ בְּאַשְׁמָתֵ֔ינוּ כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין לַעֲמ֛וֹד לְפָנֶ֖יךָ עַל־זֹֽאת׃

  1 Καὶ ἐμβὰς εἰς πλοῖον διεπέρασεν καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς τὴν ἰδίαν πόλιν.
  
  2 Καὶ ἰδοὺ προσέφερον αὐτῷ παραλυτικὸν ἐπὶ κλίνης βεβλημένον. καὶ ἰδὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν εἶπεν τῷ παραλυτικῷ· Θάρσει, τέκνον· ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι.
  
  3 καὶ ἰδού τινες τῶν γραμματέων εἶπαν ἐν ἑαυτοῖς· Οὗτος βλασφημεῖ.
  
  4 καὶ εἰδὼς ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὰς ἐνθυμήσεις αὐτῶν εἶπεν· Ἱνατί ἐνθυμεῖσθε πονηρὰ ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν;
  
  5 τί γάρ ἐστιν εὐκοπώτερον, εἰπεῖν· Ἀφίενταί σου αἱ ἁμαρτίαι, ἢ εἰπεῖν· Ἔγειρε καὶ περιπάτει;
  
  6 ἵνα δὲ εἰδῆτε ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχει ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀφιέναι ἁμαρτίας — τότε λέγει τῷ παραλυτικῷ· Ἐγερθεὶς ἆρόν σου τὴν κλίνην καὶ ὕπαγε εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου.
  
  7 καὶ ἐγερθεὶς ἀπῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ.
  
  8 ἰδόντες δὲ οἱ ὄχλοι ἐφοβήθησαν καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν τὸν δόντα ἐξουσίαν τοιαύτην τοῖς ἀνθρώποις.
  
  9 Καὶ παράγων ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄνθρωπον καθήμενον ἐπὶ τὸ τελώνιον, Μαθθαῖον λεγόμενον, καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Ἀκολούθει μοι· καὶ ἀναστὰς ἠκολούθησεν αὐτῷ.
  
  10 Καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ ἀνακειμένου ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ, καὶ ἰδοὺ πολλοὶ τελῶναι καὶ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἐλθόντες συνανέκειντο τῷ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ.
  
  11 καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· Διὰ τί μετὰ τῶν τελωνῶν καὶ ἁμαρτωλῶν ἐσθίει ὁ διδάσκαλος ὑμῶν;
  
  12 ὁ δὲ ἀκούσας εἶπεν· Οὐ χρείαν ἔχουσιν οἱ ἰσχύοντες ἰατροῦ ἀλλὰ οἱ κακῶς ἔχοντες.
  
  13 πορευθέντες δὲ μάθετε τί ἐστιν· Ἔλεος θέλω καὶ οὐ θυσίαν· οὐ γὰρ ἦλθον καλέσαι δικαίους ἀλλὰ ἁμαρτωλούς.
  
  14 Τότε προσέρχονται αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάννου λέγοντες· Διὰ τί ἡμεῖς καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι νηστεύομεν πολλά, οἱ δὲ μαθηταί σου οὐ νηστεύουσιν;
  
  15 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος πενθεῖν ἐφ’ ὅσον μετ’ αὐτῶν ἐστιν ὁ νυμφίος; ἐλεύσονται δὲ ἡμέραι ὅταν ἀπαρθῇ ἀπ’ αὐτῶν ὁ νυμφίος, καὶ τότε νηστεύσουσιν.
  
  16 οὐδεὶς δὲ ἐπιβάλλει ἐπίβλημα ῥάκους ἀγνάφου ἐπὶ ἱματίῳ παλαιῷ· αἴρει γὰρ τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἱματίου, καὶ χεῖρον σχίσμα γίνεται.
  
  17 οὐδὲ βάλλουσιν οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς παλαιούς· εἰ δὲ μή γε, ῥήγνυνται οἱ ἀσκοί, καὶ ὁ οἶνος ἐκχεῖται καὶ οἱ ἀσκοὶ ἀπόλλυνται· ἀλλὰ βάλλουσιν οἶνον νέον εἰς ἀσκοὺς καινούς, καὶ ἀμφότεροι συντηροῦνται.
  
  18 Ταῦτα αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος αὐτοῖς ἰδοὺ ἄρχων εἷς ἐλθὼν προσεκύνει αὐτῷ λέγων ὅτι Ἡ θυγάτηρ μου ἄρτι ἐτελεύτησεν· ἀλλὰ ἐλθὼν ἐπίθες τὴν χεῖρά σου ἐπ’ αὐτήν, καὶ ζήσεται.
  
  19 καὶ ἐγερθεὶς ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἠκολούθει αὐτῷ καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ.
  
  20 Καὶ ἰδοὺ γυνὴ αἱμορροοῦσα δώδεκα ἔτη προσελθοῦσα ὄπισθεν ἥψατο τοῦ κρασπέδου τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ·
  
  21 ἔλεγεν γὰρ ἐν ἑαυτῇ· Ἐὰν μόνον ἅψωμαι τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ σωθήσομαι.
  
  22 ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς στραφεὶς καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὴν εἶπεν· Θάρσει, θύγατερ· ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε. καὶ ἐσώθη ἡ γυνὴ ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης.
  
  23 καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν τοῦ ἄρχοντος καὶ ἰδὼν τοὺς αὐλητὰς καὶ τὸν ὄχλον θορυβούμενον
  
  24 ἔλεγεν· Ἀναχωρεῖτε, οὐ γὰρ ἀπέθανεν τὸ κοράσιον ἀλλὰ καθεύδει· καὶ κατεγέλων αὐτοῦ.
  
  25 ὅτε δὲ ἐξεβλήθη ὁ ὄχλος, εἰσελθὼν ἐκράτησεν τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῆς, καὶ ἠγέρθη τὸ κοράσιον.
  
  26 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἡ φήμη αὕτη εἰς ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἐκείνην.
  
  27 Καὶ παράγοντι ἐκεῖθεν τῷ Ἰησοῦ ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ δύο τυφλοὶ κράζοντες καὶ λέγοντες· Ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς, υἱὲ Δαυίδ.
  
  28 ἐλθόντι δὲ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ οἱ τυφλοί, καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Πιστεύετε ὅτι δύναμαι τοῦτο ποιῆσαι; λέγουσιν αὐτῷ· Ναί, κύριε.
  
  29 τότε ἥψατο τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν αὐτῶν λέγων· Κατὰ τὴν πίστιν ὑμῶν γενηθήτω ὑμῖν.
  
  30 καὶ ἠνεῴχθησαν αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί. καὶ ἐνεβριμήθη αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· Ὁρᾶτε μηδεὶς γινωσκέτω·
  
  31 οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες διεφήμισαν αὐτὸν ἐν ὅλῃ τῇ γῇ ἐκείνῃ.
  
  32 Αὐτῶν δὲ ἐξερχομένων ἰδοὺ προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ ἄνθρωπον κωφὸν δαιμονιζόμενον·
  
  33 καὶ ἐκβληθέντος τοῦ δαιμονίου ἐλάλησεν ὁ κωφός. καὶ ἐθαύμασαν οἱ ὄχλοι λέγοντες· Οὐδέποτε ἐφάνη οὕτως ἐν τῷ Ἰσραήλ.
  
  34 οἱ δὲ Φαρισαῖοι ἔλεγον· Ἐν τῷ ἄρχοντι τῶν δαιμονίων ἐκβάλλει τὰ δαιμόνια.
  
  35 Καὶ περιῆγεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς τὰς πόλεις πάσας καὶ τὰς κώμας, διδάσκων ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς βασιλείας καὶ θεραπεύων πᾶσαν νόσον καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν.
  
  36 Ἰδὼν δὲ τοὺς ὄχλους ἐσπλαγχνίσθη περὶ αὐτῶν ὅτι ἦσαν ἐσκυλμένοι καὶ ἐρριμμένοι ὡσεὶ πρόβατα μὴ ἔχοντα ποιμένα.
  
  37 τότε λέγει τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ· Ὁ μὲν θερισμὸς πολύς, οἱ δὲ ἐργάται ὀλίγοι·
  
  38 δεήθητε οὖν τοῦ κυρίου τοῦ θερισμοῦ ὅπως ἐκβάλῃ ἐργάτας εἰς τὸν θερισμὸν αὐτοῦ.

- Genèse 9
  
  1 Et Dieu bénit Noé et ses fils, et leur dit : Fructifiez et multipliez et remplissez la terre.
  
  2 Et vous serez un sujet de crainte et de frayeur pour tout animal de la terre, et pour tout oiseau des cieux, pour tout ce qui se meut sur la terre, aussi bien que pour tous les poissons de la mer ; ils sont livrés entre vos mains.
  
  3 Tout ce qui se meut et qui est vivant vous sera pour nourriture ; comme l'herbe verte, je vous donne tout.
  
  4 Seulement, vous ne mangerez pas la chair avec sa vie, c'est-à-dire son sang ;
  
  5 et certes je redemanderai le sang de vos vies ; de la main de tout animal je le redemanderai, et de la main de l'homme ; de la main de chacun, de son frère, je redemanderai la vie de l'homme.
  
  6 Qui aura versé le sang de l'homme, par l'homme son sang sera versé ; car à l'image de Dieu, il a fait l'homme.
  
  7 Et vous, fructifiez et multipliez ; foisonnez sur la terre, et multipliez sur elle.
  
  8 Et Dieu parla à Noé et à ses fils avec lui, disant :
  
  9 Et moi, voici, j'établis mon alliance avec vous, et avec votre semence après vous,
  
  10 et avec tout être vivant qui est avec vous, tant oiseaux que bétail et tout animal de la terre avec vous, d'entre tout ce qui est sorti de l'arche, -tout animal de la terre.
  
  11 Et j'établis mon alliance avec vous, et toute chair ne périra plus par les eaux du déluge, et il n'y aura plus de déluge pour détruire la terre.
  
  12 Et Dieu dit : C'est ici le signe de l'alliance que je mets entre moi et vous et tout être vivant qui est avec vous pour les générations, à toujours :
  
  13 je mettrai mon arc dans la nuée, et il sera pour signe d'alliance entre moi et la terre ;
  
  14 et il arrivera que quand je ferai venir des nuages sur la terre, alors l'arc apparaîtra dans la nuée,
  
  15 et je me souviendrai de mon alliance qui est entre moi et vous et tout être vivant de toute chair ; et les eaux ne deviendront plus un déluge pour détruire toute chair.
  
  16 Et l'arc sera dans la nuée, et je le verrai pour me souvenir de l'alliance perpétuelle entre Dieu et tout être vivant de toute chair qui est sur la terre.
  
  17 Et Dieu dit à Noé : C'est là le signe de l'alliance que j'établis entre moi et toute chair qui est sur la terre.
  
  18 Et les fils de Noé qui sortirent de l'arche étaient Sem, et Cham, et Japheth : et Cham fut le père de Canaan.
  
  19 Ces trois sont fils de Noé ; et c'est d'eux que la population fut disséminée sur toute la terre.
  
  20 Et Noé commença à être cultivateur et il planta une vigne ;
  
  21 et il but du vin, et il s'enivra et se découvrit au milieu de la tente.
  
  22 Et Cham, père de Canaan, vit la nudité de son père, et le rapporta à ses deux frères, dehors.
  
  23 Et Sem et Japheth prirent le manteau et le mirent, les deux, sur leurs épaules et marchèrent en arrière et couvrirent la nudité de leur père ; et leur visage était tourné en arrière, et ils ne virent pas la nudité de leur père.
  
  24 Et Noé se réveilla de son vin et sut ce que lui avait fait son plus jeune fils ;
  
  25 et il dit : Maudit soit Canaan ! Il sera l'esclave des esclaves de ses frères.
  
  26 Et il dit : Béni soit l'Éternel, le Dieu de Sem, et que Canaan soit son esclave !
  
  27 Que Dieu élargisse Japheth, et qu'il demeure dans les tentes de Sem, et que Canaan soit son esclave !
  
  28 Et Noé vécut, après le déluge, trois cent cinquante ans.
  
  29 Et tous les jours de Noé furent neuf cent cinquante ans ; et il mourut.
  
  Genèse 10
  
  1 Et ce sont ici les générations des fils de Noé : Sem, Cham, et Japheth ; il leur naquit des fils après le déluge.
  
  2 Les fils de Japheth : Gomer, et Magog, et Madaï, et Javan, et Tubal, et Méshec, et Tiras.
  
  3 -Et les fils de Gomer : Ashkenaz, et Riphath, et Togarma.
  
  4 -Et les fils de Javan : Élisha, et Tarsis, Kittim, et Dodanim.
  
  5 -De ceux-là est venue la répartition des îles des nations selon leurs pays, chacune selon sa langue, selon leurs familles, dans leurs nations.
  
  6 Et les fils de Cham : Cush, et Mitsraïm, et Puth, et Canaan.
  
  7 -Et les fils de Cush : Seba, et Havila, et Sabta, et Rahma, et Sabteca. Et les fils de Rahma : Sheba et Dedan.
  
  8 Et Cush engendra Nimrod : lui, commença à être puissant sur la terre ;
  
  9 il fut un puissant chasseur devant l'Éternel ; c'est pourquoi on dit : Comme Nimrod, puissant chasseur devant l'Éternel.
  
  10 Et le commencement de son royaume fut Babel, et Érec, et Accad, et Calné, au pays de Shinhar.
  
  11 De ce pays-là sortit Assur, et il bâtit Ninive, et Rehoboth-Ir, et Calakh,
  
  12 et Résen entre Ninive et Calakh : c'est la grande ville.
  
  13 -Et Mitsraïm engendra les Ludim, et les Anamim, et les Lehabim, et les Naphtukhim,
  
  14 et les Pathrusim, et les Caslukhim, (d'où sortirent les Philistins), et les Caphtorim.
  
  15 -Et Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, et Heth,
  
  16 et le Jébusien, et l'Amoréen, et le Guirgasien,
  
  17 et le Hévien, et l'Arkien, et le Sinien,
  
  18 et l'Arvadien, et le Tsemarien, et le Hamathien. Et ensuite les familles des Cananéens se dispersèrent.
  
  19 Et les limites des Cananéens furent depuis Sidon, quand tu viens vers Guérar, jusqu'à Gaza ; quand tu viens vers Sodome et Gomorrhe et Adma et Tseboïm, jusqu'à Lésha.
  
  20 -Ce sont là les fils de Cham, selon leurs familles, selon leurs langues, dans leurs pays, dans leurs nations.
  
  21 Et à Sem, père de tous les fils d'Héber, et frère de Japheth, l'aîné, à lui aussi il naquit des fils.
  
  22 Les fils de Sem : Élam, et Assur, et Arpacshad, et Lud, et Aram.
  
  23 -Et les fils d'Aram : Uts, et Hul, et Guéther, et Mash.
  
  24 -Et Arpacshad engendra Shélakh, et Shélakh engendra Héber.
  
  25 Et il naquit à Héber deux fils : le nom de l'un fut Péleg, car en ses jours la terre fut partagée ; et le nom de son frère fut Joktan.
  
  26 Et Joktan engendra Almodad, et Shéleph, et Hatsarmaveth, et Jérakh,
  
  27 et Hadoram, et Uzal, et Dikla,
  
  28 et Obal, et Abimaël, et Sheba,
  
  29 et Ophir, et Havila, et Jobab. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Joktan.
  
  30 Et leur demeure était depuis Mésha, quand tu viens vers Sephar, montagne de l'orient.
  
  31 -Ce sont là les fils de Sem selon leurs familles, selon leurs langues, dans leurs pays, selon leurs nations.
  
  32 Ce sont là les familles des fils de Noé, selon leurs générations, dans leurs nations ; et c'est d'eux qu'est venue la répartition des nations sur la terre après le déluge.
  
  Esdras 9
  
  1 Et quand ces choses furent terminées, les chefs s'approchèrent de moi, en disant : Le peuple d'Israël, et les sacrificateurs et les lévites, ne se sont pas séparés des peuples des pays, quant à leurs abominations, savoir celles des Cananéens, des Héthiens, des Phéréziens, des Jébusiens, des Ammonites, des Moabites, des Égyptiens, et des Amoréens,
  
  2 car ils ont pris de leurs filles pour eux et pour leurs fils, et ont mêlé la semence sainte avec les peuples des pays ; et la main des chefs et des gouverneurs a été la première dans ce péché.
  
  3 Et quand j'entendis cela, je déchirai mon manteau et ma robe, et j'arrachai les cheveux de ma tête et ma barbe, et je m'assis désolé ;
  
  4 et vers moi s'assemblèrent tous ceux qui tremblaient aux paroles du Dieu d'Israël, à cause du péché de ceux qui avaient été transportés ; et je restai assis, désolé, jusqu'à l'offrande du soir.
  
  5 Et lors de l'offrande du soir, je me levai de mon humiliation, et, mon manteau et ma robe déchirés, je m'agenouillai, et j'étendis mes mains vers l'Éternel, mon Dieu,
  
  6 et je dis : Mon Dieu, je suis confus, et j'ai honte de lever ma face vers toi, ô mon Dieu ; car nos iniquités se sont multipliées par-dessus nos têtes, et notre coulpe a grandi jusqu'aux cieux.
  
  7 Dès les jours de nos pères jusqu'à ce jour, nous avons été grandement coupables ; et à cause de nos iniquités, nous, nos rois, nos sacrificateurs, nous avons été livrés en la main des rois des pays, à l'épée, à la captivité, et au pillage, et à la confusion de face, comme il paraît aujourd'hui ;
  
  8 et maintenant, pour un moment, nous est arrivée une faveur de la part de l'Éternel, notre Dieu, pour nous laisser des réchappés et pour nous donner un clou dans son saint lieu, afin que notre Dieu éclaire nos yeux et nous redonne un peu de vie dans notre servitude, car nous sommes serviteurs ;
  
  9 mais, dans notre servitude, notre Dieu ne nous a pas abandonnés, et il a étendu sa bonté sur nous devant les rois de Perse, afin de nous redonner de la vie pour élever la maison de notre Dieu et pour restaurer ses ruines, et pour nous donner des murs en Juda et à Jérusalem.
  
  10 Et maintenant, ô notre Dieu, que dirons-nous après cela ? Car nous avons abandonné tes commandements,
  
  11 que tu as commandés par tes serviteurs les prophètes, en disant : Le pays dans lequel vous entrez pour le posséder, est un pays rendu impur par l'impureté des peuples des pays, par les abominations dont ils l'ont rempli d'un bout à l'autre par leurs souillures.
  
  12 Et maintenant, ne donnez pas vos filles à leurs fils, et ne prenez pas leurs filles pour vos fils, et ne cherchez pas leur paix ou leur bien, à jamais, afin que vous soyez forts, et que vous mangiez les biens du pays, et que vous les laissiez en possession à vos fils à toujours.
  
  13 Et après tout ce qui nous est arrivé à cause de nos mauvaises oeuvres et à cause de notre grand péché... ; mais toi, notre Dieu, tu nous as moins punis que ne méritaient nos iniquités, et tu nous as donné une délivrance comme celle-ci ;
  
  14 -est-ce que nous retournerions à enfreindre tes commandements et à nous allier par mariage avec les peuples qui font ces abominations ? Ne serais-tu pas courroucé contre nous jusqu'à nous consumer, en sorte qu'il n'y aurait ni reste ni réchappés ?
  
  15 Éternel, Dieu d'Israël, tu es juste, car nous sommes un reste de réchappés, comme il paraît aujourd'hui. Nous voici devant toi dans notre culpabilité, car, à cause de cela, on ne peut se tenir devant toi.
  
  Matthieu 9
  
  1 Et étant monté dans la nacelle, il passa à l'autre rive, et vint dans sa propre ville.
  
  2 Et voici, on lui apporta un paralytique couché sur un lit. Et Jésus, voyant leur foi, dit au paralytique : Aie bon courage, mon enfant, tes péchés sont pardonnés.
  
  3 Et voici, quelques-uns des scribes dirent en eux-mêmes : Cet homme blasphème.
  
  4 Jésus, voyant leurs pensées, dit : Pourquoi pensez-vous du mal dans vos coeurs ?
  
  5 Car lequel est le plus facile, de dire : Tes péchés sont pardonnés, ou de dire : Lève-toi et marche ?
  
  6 Or, afin que vous sachiez que le fils de l'homme a le pouvoir sur la terre de pardonner les péchés... ; alors il dit au paralytique : Lève-toi, prends ton lit, et va dans ta maison.
  
  7 Et il se leva et s'en alla dans sa maison.
  
  8 Et les foules, ayant vu cela, furent saisies de crainte, et elles glorifièrent Dieu qui donnait un tel pouvoir aux hommes.
  
  9 Et Jésus, passant de là plus avant, vit un homme nommé Matthieu, assis au bureau de recette ; et il lui dit : Suis-moi. Et se levant, il le suivit.
  
  10 Et il arriva, comme il était à table dans la maison, que voici, beaucoup de publicains et de pécheurs vinrent et se mirent à table avec Jésus et ses disciples ;
  
  11 ce que les pharisiens ayant vu, ils dirent à ses disciples : Pourquoi votre maître mange-t-il avec les publicains et les pécheurs ?
  
  12 Et Jésus, l'ayant entendu, leur dit : Ceux qui sont en bonne santé n'ont pas besoin de médecin, mais ceux qui se portent mal.
  
  13 Mais allez et apprenez ce que c'est que : "Je veux miséricorde et non pas sacrifice" ; car je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.
  
  14 Alors les disciples de Jean viennent à lui, disant : Pourquoi, nous et les pharisiens, jeûnons-nous souvent, et tes disciples ne jeûnent pas ?
  
  15 Et Jésus leur dit : Les fils de la chambre nuptiale peuvent-ils mener deuil tant que l'époux est avec eux ? Mais des jours viendront, lorsque l'époux leur aura été ôté ; et alors ils jeûneront.
  
  16 Et personne ne met un morceau de drap neuf à un vieil habit, car la pièce emporte une partie de l'habit, et la déchirure en devient plus mauvaise.
  
  17 On ne met pas non plus du vin nouveau dans de vieilles outres ; autrement les outres se rompent, et le vin se répand, et les outres sont perdues ; mais on met le vin nouveau dans des outres neuves, et tous les deux se conservent.
  
  18 Comme il leur disait ces choses, voici, un chef de synagogue s'étant approché lui rendit hommage, disant : Ma fille vient de mourir, mais viens et pose ta main sur elle, et elle vivra.
  
  19 Et Jésus se levant le suivit, ainsi que ses disciples.
  
  20 Et voici, une femme qui avait une perte de sang depuis douze ans s'approcha par derrière et toucha le bord de son vêtement ;
  
  21 car elle disait en elle-même : Si seulement je touche son vêtement, je serai guérie.
  
  22 Et Jésus, s'étant retourné et la voyant, dit : Aie bon courage, ma fille ; ta foi t'a guérie. Et la femme fut guérie dès cette heure.
  
  23 Et Jésus, étant arrivé à la maison du chef de synagogue, et voyant les joueurs de flûte et la foule qui faisait un grand bruit, dit :
  
  24 Retirez-vous, car la jeune fille n'est pas morte, mais elle dort. Et ils se riaient de lui.
  
  25 Et lorsque la foule eut été mise dehors, il entra et prit sa main, et la jeune fille se leva.
  
  26 Et le bruit s'en répandit par tout ce pays-là.
  
  27 Et comme Jésus passait de là plus avant, deux aveugles le suivirent, criant et disant : Aie pitié de nous, Fils de David !
  
  28 Et quand il fut arrivé dans la maison, les aveugles vinrent à lui. Et Jésus leur dit : Croyez-vous que je puisse faire ceci ? Ils lui disent : Oui, Seigneur.
  
  29 Alors il toucha leurs yeux, disant : Qu'il vous soit fait selon votre foi.
  
  30 Et leurs yeux furent ouverts. Et Jésus leur parla sévèrement, disant : Prenez garde que personne ne le sache.
  
  31 Mais eux, étant partis, répandirent sa renommée dans tout ce pays-là.
  
  32 Et comme ils sortaient, voici, on lui amena un homme muet, démoniaque.
  
  33 Et le démon ayant été chassé, le muet parla. Et les foules s'en étonnèrent, disant : Il ne s'est jamais rien vu de pareil en Israël ;
  
  34 mais les pharisiens disaient : Il chasse les démons par le chef des démons.
  
  35 Jésus allait par toutes les villes et par les villages, enseignant dans leurs synagogues, et prêchant l'évangile du royaume, et guérissant toute maladie et toute langueur.
  
  36 Et voyant les foules, il fut ému de compassion pour elles, parce qu'ils étaient las et dispersés, comme des brebis qui n'ont pas de berger.
  
  37 Alors il dit à ses disciples : La moisson est grande, mais il y a peu d'ouvriers :
  
  38 suppliez donc le Seigneur de la moisson, en sorte qu'il pousse des ouvriers dans sa moisson.
